- the invention is characterized in that the passengers can be safely removed from their position in a simple, even fearful or elderly manner, without risk, and can be taken to a collection point at a time that is only a very small fraction of that to date Rappelling and then reaching the collection point is time, and it is irrelevant how deep the ground is under the drive unit, how it is there, and how far the passengers are from a collection point.
- a rescue device for rescuing passengers from stationary driving units of a cable railway is shown, which are accessible on a side parallel to the direction of travel, in the case of a chairlift to take a seat and leave the chair, in the case of a gondola or cabin lift to get on and off .
- dash-dotted line for example, is held in a position on the supporting cable 3 of the cable suspension railway (not shown in the rest), in which its sides 4 and 5 are parallel to the supporting cable 3, by means of a support device 2 which is only partially indicated , the side 5 has doors 6 through which the cabin 1 is accessible for getting in and out.
- the basic construction of the rescue device consists of a rectangular frame 8, which is open on one side 9, on the opposite side 10 below contains a rescue container 11-14 for people and at the top with a fastening device 15 for a on the load hook of a (not shown) Helicopter attached load cable 16 and connected to a hitch 17, 18, 19 with which the rescue device can be hung on the support cable 3 in a position in which the open frame side 9 is perpendicular to the support cable 3.

- the distance of the platform 20 from the support cable 3 is dimensioned with respect to that of the cabin floor 24 so that both are at approximately the same height at different slopes of the cable railway.
- the platform 20 can be at a somewhat greater distance from the support cable 3 than the rescue container floor 24 if the rescue device is expediently suspended from the support cable 3 above the cabin in the slope direction.
- the hitch has two support members 17 and 18, which run obliquely downward on a vertical rod 25, which also serves as a support member, in a plane parallel to the open frame side 9, so that two approximately inverted V-shaped support member arrangements are formed, the angular space of which is rounded to suit the suspension cable cross section .
- Another supporting member 19 is plate-like or frame-shaped, extending on either side of the rod 25 in a vertical plane perpendicular to the open side of the frame 9 level, it protrudes beyond the bar 25 in the direction of the open side of the frame 9 is less than opposite thereto (FIG. L), because on that side the (not shown) connecting means of the cabin support device 2 with the suspension cable 3 are when the rescue device is brought up to the cabin 1.
- the rescue device can be supported either with the support member 17 or with the support member 18 on the supporting cable 3, as shown in FIG. 2 and in the viewing direction II in FIG. 1, the left and right side in FIG. 2 and in the viewing direction II of the support member 19 since Lich rests on the suspension cable 3 and secures the rescue device against rotation about a vertical axis.
- This makes it possible for the rescue device to fly and to be supported both on the support cable in one direction of travel and on the support cable parallel to it in the opposite direction of travel, in each case from the side facing away from the other support cable, a lower part of the support member 19 first being brought laterally towards the support cable 3 and then the support member 17 to or 18 is supported on the suspension cable 3 by lowering the rescue device.
- the rod 25 is connected to the upper corners of the frame 8 by means of struts 26 and two further struts 27.
- the fastening device 15 for the load rope 16 is an eyelet attached to the upper end of the rod 25.
- the upward converging struts 25 and 26, sloping edges of the support member 19, two deflectors 28 on the upper side of the support members 17 and 18 and protective bracket 29 prevent the rescue device undesirable during flight movements on the suspension cable 3, on the cabin 1, on the masts Cable car or other obstacles get stuck.
- the rescue device is hung on a helicopter by means of the load rope 16.
- the platform 20 is steeply downward (20 'in FIG. 1) and the railing 23 is pivoted to the frame side 21 to which it is articulated.
- the rescue device is flown to the cabin 1 and hung there on the supporting cable 3 in front of or behind the cabin 1 in a position in which the frame side 21 is on the same side of the supporting cable 3 as the side 5 of the cabin 1 and the open frame side 9 facing the cabin 1.
- the rescue device on the suspension cable slidingly pulled from the helicopter to the cabin 1, so that it projects as far as the rescue container 11-14 into the space of the frame 8, as shown in FIG. 3.
- the helicopter pilot receives the necessary instructions from the escort in the rescue device. If the rescue device or the cabin 1 swings laterally, they do not collide with each other because the cabin side 4 is at a sufficient distance from the frame side 30, the railing 23 is pivoted to the frame side 21 and the platform is in position 21. After the mutual position of the rescue device and the cabin 1 shown in FIG. 3 has been reached, the helicopter lowers its flight height so that the load rope 16 sags loosely, the rescue device being carried only on the support rope 3. The helicopter hovers at this altitude. The accompanying person swings the platform from position 20 'into position 20 and brings the railing 23 into the position shown in the figures.
- the passengers can now conveniently change to the platform 20 now enclosed on all sides by the railings 22, 23 of one of the doors 6 and the cabin side 5 and from there enter the rescue container 11-14, the attendant being helpful. There is no significant height difference to overcome when changing trains. In addition, a height difference caused by different suspension line inclinations could also be compensated within certain limits by inclining the platform 20.
- the escort swings the railing 23 again into a position lying against the frame side 21, puts the platform 20 in position 20 '(FIG. 1) and closes a barrier (not shown) on the Point at which the platform 20 connects to the floor 15.
- the platform 20 could also be pivoted upwards.
- Accompanying person then gives the pilot the instructions to lift the rescue device off the suspension cable 3 and to fly away.
- the rescue device is placed on the ground at a collection point for the rescued people (after the platform has been brought back into position 20), the passengers leave the rescue container 11-14 via the platform 2 and the frame 8 on its open side 9.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for rescuing passengers from stationary driving units of a cable railway and to a rescue device for carrying out the method.
In a typical method for this purpose the passengers of auxiliary persons coming to a mobile on the carrying rope of the cableway auxiliary vehicle to the driving unit are / single kind used by means of a descender of the accident victims for rescue climber roped successively on the ground under the driving unit. This is cumbersome, very time-consuming and presupposes that the roped passenger can be dropped off at a fall-proof location. Is this Terrain is accessible or the distance to a collection point, e.g. to the next cable car station, is too great, so the roped passengers have to be transported further, e.g. by means of a helicopter, for which purpose they have to be roped again if necessary to be lifted into the helicopter. This makes the process much more cumbersome, time-consuming and costly, possibly not harmless and at least problematic for anxious or older passengers. It should be borne in mind that the stoppage of a long cable railway can affect a very large number of passengers, some of whom may have to wait for hours if the passengers were roped one after the other. There was a risk of hypothermia during long waits in winter. Rescue work is difficult at nightfall or in fog, and may even have to be stopped, so it shouldn't be time-consuming. The risk of hypothermia was of particular importance when passengers with skis without adequate protection against the cold had to wait for help in stopped driving units. Although only uphill chairs are occupied, it could take hours for longer chairlifts until the last passengers were freed from their position.
Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention seeks to remedy this. The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the task of freeing passengers from stationary driving units of a cable railway in a simple and reliable manner safely and quickly from their position.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that in the method according to the invention the rescue container or the rescue device according to the invention is not removed from the helicopter while the passengers are changing, but, like the driving unit, from the Carrying rope of the cable railway is carried, whereby the position of the platform is ensured in relation to the driving unit. Because the load rope is relieved, ie slack (with slack) between the helicopter and the rescue device or container, movements of the helicopter, for example during gusts, have no effect on the position of the rescue container.
If the rescue container were carried by the helicopter not only during the flight but also during the transfer of the passengers from the drive unit to the platform, changes in the position of the platform relative to the drive unit would be due to the sudden increase in the load on the helicopter and also in the event of changes in the air flow despite the pilot's skillful "countermeasures" inevitable. As with any control process (countermeasures), control (position correction) could only take place after a control deviation (change in position), i.e. only with a delay. The position of the platform could not be kept at a constant level relative to the driving unit. Switching to the rescue containers, which give way when the weight of a passenger shifts from the driving unit to the rescue container due to sinking and move laterally away from the driving unit in the event of changes in air flow, would not only be cumbersome, difficult and time-consuming, but would also be quite dangerous and dangerous for fearful or especially in unfavorable wind conditions older passengers are problematic.
Because when the rescue container is changed in front of or behind the driving unit and the platform is next to it, with the rescue device partially encompassing the driving unit, its attachment points on the suspension cable are at a small distance from one another, so that the bottom of the driving unit and the platform is also at substantially the same height on slopes of the cable railway if they are at the same distance from the suspension cable with a horizontal suspension cable.
Overall, the invention is characterized in that the passengers can be safely removed from their position in a simple, even fearful or elderly manner, without risk, and can be taken to a collection point at a time that is only a very small fraction of that to date Rappelling and then reaching the collection point is time, and it is irrelevant how deep the ground is under the drive unit, how it is there, and how far the passengers are from a collection point.
In the unpublished European patent application No. 84102675.0 (Swiss patent application 2 142/83) describes a method for rescuing passengers from stuck driving units of a cable railway and a rescue device for carrying out the method, which is designed to accommodate the passengers of lift chairs which are arranged in the direction of travel, that is to say are accessible on a side perpendicular to the direction of travel for taking a seat and leaving the seats.
- 1 is a perspective view of a rescue device hanging on the suspension cable of a cable railway,
- 2 is a side view in viewing direction II of FIG. 1, on a larger scale,
- 3 shows a plan view of the lower part of the rescue device in viewing direction III of FIG. 2.
In the figures, a rescue device for rescuing passengers from stationary driving units of a cable railway is shown, which are accessible on a side parallel to the direction of travel, in the case of a chairlift to take a seat and leave the chair, in the case of a gondola or cabin lift to get on and off . 2 and 3, dash-dotted line, for example, is held in a position on the supporting
The basic construction of the rescue device consists of a
The rescue container for people has a floor (grating) 11 and a
The hitch has two
For use, the rescue device is hung on a helicopter by means of the
