Definitions
- the invention relates to a cover frame made of sheet metal, in particular aluminum sheet for a skylight or the like, which lies in a roof surface provided with a roofing with roof tiles, with two angularly shaped side parts in cross section, which cooperate with the roof covering connecting flanges in the installed state of the roofing frame have, while their perpendicular standing plates on the skylight or the like. abut, the connecting flanges of the side parts each having a water drainage channel.
- the invention has for its object to provide a covering frame that is easier to assemble and still ensures proper water drainage.
- a covering frame in which the connecting flanges of the side parts each have at least two spaced parallel webs, which have a substantially vertical wall towards the standing plate, the height of which is less than the inner height of the projecting over the sheet metal side web Roof tiles, in which the sections of the connecting flanges formed inside and outside of the webs lie essentially in one plane, in which the water drainage channel is formed between the inner web and the standing plate, the bottom of which is designed to rest on the roof battens and to the roof surface and finally a water overflow channel is formed between the webs.
- a covering frame designed in this way can be produced in comparison to the previously known covering frame of the type described at the outset without any great technical outlay but it is easier to assemble than this one, because the roof battens no longer need to be separated by half the rafter width before it is installed, which is particularly advantageous when retrofitted.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cover frame made of sheet metal, in particular aluminum sheet for a skylight or the like, which lies in a roof surface provided with a roofing with roof tiles, with two angularly shaped side parts in cross section, which cooperate with the roof covering connecting flanges in the installed state of the roofing frame have, while their perpendicular standing plates on the skylight or the like. abut, the connecting flanges of the side parts each having a water drainage channel.
So far, such covering frames each have a recessed water drainage channel, with the result that the roof battens have to be separated to half the width of the rafter before the mounting of the roofing frame in order to make room for the water drainage channels. After assembly, the on is then cover frame only with its outer areas on the roof battens, while its lateral water drainage channels reach down to the rafters in the areas freed from the roof battens. This has various disadvantages, which are particularly noticeable when retrofitted. On the one hand, the fastening of the roof battens shortened to half the rafter width on the rafters is often insufficient. On the other hand, it is often difficult to loosen roof battens that have already been nailed to a rafter and then cut them to half the rafter width.
The invention has for its object to provide a covering frame that is easier to assemble and still ensures proper water drainage.
This object is achieved by a covering frame, in which the connecting flanges of the side parts each have at least two spaced parallel webs, which have a substantially vertical wall towards the standing plate, the height of which is less than the inner height of the projecting over the sheet metal side web Roof tiles, in which the sections of the connecting flanges formed inside and outside of the webs lie essentially in one plane, in which the water drainage channel is formed between the inner web and the standing plate, the bottom of which is designed to rest on the roof battens and to the roof surface and finally a water overflow channel is formed between the webs. A covering frame designed in this way can be produced in comparison to the previously known covering frame of the type described at the outset without any great technical outlay but it is easier to assemble than this one, because the roof battens no longer need to be separated by half the rafter width before it is installed, which is particularly advantageous when retrofitted. The side water discharge channels, which each have an additional water overflow channel, ensure that the water is discharged properly.
The cross-pieces of the rebate webs are each preferably sawtooth-shaped in such a way that their walls on the standing plate side lie in planes running parallel to the standing plate plane and their walls facing away from the standing plate lie in planes that form an acute angle of preferably approximately 30 ° with the standing plate plane.
The rebate webs adjacent to the standing plates can be made higher, preferably about 20% higher, than the other rebate webs, which are respectively further away from their standing plates, with the advantage that a very tight covering can take place, namely one in which the downward directed inner edges of the roof tiles so far to the window frame that the edge of the tile ends above the water drainage channel.
The height of the rebate webs adjacent to the standing plates preferably corresponds to half the width of the water guide channel provided between the standing seam and the standing plate.
In a preferred embodiment, the edges of the connecting flanges of the side parts facing away from the standing plates are each upward, towards the standing plate bow, wherein between them and the adjacent web they each have an elastic material, preferably foam, arranged on the connecting flange sealing web is arranged. This sealing web can have a cross section which corresponds to that of a right-angled triangle, the sealing web side facing the standing plate lying in a plane parallel to the standing plate plane and the sealing web height corresponding at least to the inner height of a roof tile, so that it is ensured that the sealing web is tight on the underside of the roof tile.
Further details, features and advantages of the invention result from the claims and the following description of a preferred embodiment in connection with the drawing.
