Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for cleaning rotating rollers of textile machines, in particular squeeze rollers, with a doctor blade, the front edge of which is pressed against the surface of the roller in the working position and forms a clamping line therewith.
  • the surface of the rollers In order to ensure a trouble-free passage of a nonwoven fabric or sliver through the clamping line of a rotating pair of rollers, the surface of the rollers must be constantly cleaned of adhering fibers and impurities. This also applies in particular to squeeze rollers on cards or draw frames on which vegetable impurities and fibers contained in the nonwoven fabric and crushed by the rollers remain sticking.
  • a manual removal of the pinched fiber material, in which the doctor blade is lifted off the roller, has the disadvantage that the roller remains uncleaned during this time and a break in the nonwoven fabric can thereby be caused.
  • the machine must then be shut down, which leads to a loss of production. A loss of production also occurs if the machine is shut down from the outset for safety reasons.
  • the object of the present invention is to reliably remove the fiber accumulations which impair the effectiveness of the doctor blade in a simple manner and without interrupting the cleaning of the roller, and thereby to ensure the functionality of the doctor blade.
  • the object is achieved in a device according to the preamble of claim 1 in that the doctor blade is movable while maintaining its contact in a second working position in which the knife body touches the roller and the front edge is at a distance from the roller.
  • FIG. 1 denotes a customer, from whose clothing a nonwoven fabric V is removed by means of a take-off roller 2.
  • the removal roller 2, to which a cleaning roller 3 is assigned, is followed by a pair of squeeze rollers 4 and 40, between which impurities, for example sheet and shell parts, contained in the nonwoven fabric V are crushed under high pressure.
  • the fiber fleece V emerging from the squeeze rollers 4 and 40 is combined to form a fiber band, in the exemplary embodiment by means of conveyor belts 5 tangent to and against one another, above the cleaning roller 3, a suction line 6 opens, through which fiber material entrained by the cleaning roller is sucked off.
  • Each of the two squeeze rollers 4 and 40 is assigned a doctor blade 7 and 8.
  • the knife body 70 or 80 ends in a sharp edge 71 or 81 which, in the usual working position shown in FIG. This working position is referred to below as the first working position.
  • the scraper blades 7 and 8 are fastened to supports 72 and 82, which are rotatably mounted in the machine frame, and consist entirely or only in a partial area Spring band steel which is pretensioned so that its front edge 71 or 81 is pressed against the squeeze rollers 4 and 40 with a predetermined pressure and a clamping line is formed.
  • a lever 73 and 83 is attached to one or both ends of the carriers 72 and 82.
  • the lever 73 is articulated to the piston rod 91 of an air cylinder 9, while the lever 83 is articulated on the housing of the air cylinder 9.
  • a compressed air line 92 with a valve 93 which can be a two- or three-way valve, connects the compressed air cylinder 9 to a compressed air device (not shown).
  • the scraper blades 7 and 8 are initially in their first working position (FIG. 2), in which their front edge 71 and 81 pressed against the squeeze rollers 4 and 40 scrapes off fibers and impurities from the roller surface. From this position, the doctor blades 7 and 8 are brought into the second working position shown in FIG. 1 at intervals, in which the knife bodies 70 and 80 touch the squeeze rollers 4 and 40 and the front edges 71 and 81 are at a distance from the roller body.
  • valve 93 is actuated so that compressed air flows into the compressed air cylinder 9 and pushes the piston rod 91 upwards, while the compressed air cylinder 9 moves downward due to the counter pressure.
  • a pressure directed against the squeezing rollers 4 and 40 is exerted on the stripping knife 7 via the lever 73 and on the stripping knife 8 via the lever 83 and the stripping knife is moved towards the squeezing roller.
  • the knife bodies 70 and 80 first come into tangential contact with the squeeze rollers 4 and 40 and then move along the roller surface, the leading edges 71 and 81 being released from the rollers in the end position, as shown in FIG. 1.
  • the doctor blade thus remains in constant contact with the roller, so that its cleaning is not interrupted and taken over by the knife body in the second working position.
  • the end position of the doctor blades 7 and 8 in the second working position and thus the distance between the front edges 70 and 80 from the squeeze rollers 4 and 40 can be limited by adjustable stops 94 and 95 which are arranged in the pivoting range of the levers 73 and 83 (FIG. 1 ). In general, it is sufficient to set the end position of the doctor blades 7 and 8 so that the front edges 71 and 81 of the doctor blades 7 and 8 are a fraction of a millimeter from the roller.
  • the fibers trapped between the front edge and the roller are released and taken away by the rotating roller, as are fibers and contaminants that have accumulated on the front edge in the first working position of the doctor blade and now in the between this and the roller existing gap are drawn in and transported away.
  • the frictional forces between the knife body and the roller encourage the fibers and impurities to be carried along by the roller.
  • the material entrained by the squeeze rollers is thrown by the squeeze roller 4 in the direction of the suction line 6 and by the squeeze roller 40 into the lower carding area.
  • doctor blades 7 and 8 In order to subject the doctor blades 7 and 8 to the self-cleaning described, it is sufficient to leave the doctor blades in the second working position only for a short time. Then the doctor blades 7 and 8 are moved back to their first working position.
  • valve 93 for the supply of the compressed air into the compressed air cylinder 9 and its discharge in order to move the doctor blades from one working position to the other can be done manually and aperiodically.
  • the working positions are preferably changed periodically at predetermined time intervals, which is effected, for example, by a cam disk 96 actuating valve 93 (FIG. 2).
  • the stripping knife 7 in the device shown in FIGS. the first to the second working position In contrast to the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, in which the stripping knives are moved into the second working position by a pressure force directed against the roller, the stripping knife 7 in the device shown in FIGS the first to the second working position.
  • a stationary compressed air cylinder 9 is used as the displacement device.
  • the doctor blade 7 is mounted on the piston rod 91 of the compressed air cylinder 9 and can be pivoted about a pin 74.
  • the piston rod 91 moves the scraper blade in a straight line along the roller surface from the first working position in which the front edge 71 rests on the squeeze roller 4 (FIG. 3) to the second work position in which the knife body 70 the squeeze roller 4 tangent and the front edge 71 is at a distance from the roller ( Figure 3a).
  • the end position of the doctor blade can also be determined and limited here by a stop if necessary.
  • FIGS. 4 and 4a For the squeeze roller 4, which is cleaned simultaneously by the stripping knife 7 and a stripping knife 7. Pressing and The stripping knife is moved using the same means and in the same way as in FIGS. 3 and 3a.
  • the stripping knife 7 has been moved into the second working position, in which the knife body 70 touches the squeeze roller 4 and the front edge 71 is exposed, while the stripping knife 7 'assumes the first working position with the front edge 71' resting on the roller surface.
  • the fibers and impurities released by the front edge 71 of the doctor blade 7 are taken along by the squeeze roller 4 and flung in the direction of the suction line 6 shown in FIG.
  • the stripping knife 7 is then moved back into the first working position and the stripping knife 7 'is shifted into the second working position, in which fibers and impurities released from the front edge 71' are first taken along by the squeeze roller 4 to the front edge 71 of the stripping knife 7 (FIG. 4a ) and, when the scraper blades 7 and 7 'have returned to the position according to FIG. 4, are thrown towards the suction line.
  • This process is repeated, preferably periodically, the time intervals in which the two doctor blades 7 and 7 'are alternately moved into the second working position and the duration in which they remain in this position by appropriate setting of the cam disk 96 actuating the valves ( Figure 2) or can be determined by another device known for this purpose.
  • any other suitable device for moving the doctor blade can be used or the mechanical movement can be replaced by a manual one.
  • the invention can also be used advantageously with other essentially smooth rollers.
