Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a floor covering for tennis courts u. Like., In which the top of an elastic plastic base layer carries projections.
A floor covering of this type is known in which the plastic base layer consists of rubber granules bonded by polyurethane, the granules forming projections on the upper side. Loose rubber granules, which are held by the projections, are sprinkled onto this base layer as a wear and sliding layer, so that, like on a clay court, there is the possibility of slipping on the brakes. The tennis player's muscles, tendons and bones are less stressed than on a hard court or on a carpeted floor.
In the known case, the floor covering is produced in such a way that the rubber granulate is poured onto a solid base layer, for example an asphalt mixed macadam blanket, and then solidified with a polyurethane coating. The surface properties of this flooring depend to a large extent on the manual skills of the workers who use them Make the topping. In addition, it is difficult to keep the granule size and mixture uniform over the entire playing field. For this reason, different sliding properties and elasticity properties can also arise at different points on the playing field. To ensure sufficient elasticity, the floor covering has a thickness of at least 12 to 14 mm. This requires a correspondingly large amount of material.
The invention has for its object to provide a floor covering of the type described above, which has practically the same properties over the entire surface and can also be installed by inexperienced personnel.
This object is achieved in that the base layer is a prefabricated surface material and the projections form approximately a regularly recurring pattern.
As a result of the prefabrication, there is no difficulty in designing the projections in such a way that they give the same sliding properties at all points in the finished place. The projections can already be formed during the manufacture of the surface material, for example with the aid of embossing rollers. Since the projections can be formed in one piece with the surface material, they are very firmly connected to the floor covering. This results in high resilience and durability. The elasticity properties of the flooring are also the same across the entire tennis court. In addition, the surface material can be easily installed by unskilled craftsmen. Overall, such a floor covering can be cheaper than before embarrassed.
Another solution to the problem posed according to the invention is that the base layer is a prefabricated surface material and has profilings on its underside which approximately form a regularly recurring pattern.
In addition to the advantages of the prefabricated surface material, there is the advantage that the profiles on the underside make a considerable contribution to the elasticity of the floor covering. Because of the regularly recurring pattern, the elasticity of the surface is kept even over the playing surface. In addition, the surface material can be kept thinner while maintaining the desired elasticity, so that corresponding material savings result.
The base layer can be formed by prefabricated plates, but preferably by prefabricated sheet material. The sheet material can be delivered in rolls and laid over a large area, so that the laying time is short.
In particular, the webs can have a width of 200 to 210 cm. A normal tennis court can be laid out in this way with a small number of still manageable roles. The longitudinal direction of the lane can run in particular in the longitudinal direction of the tennis court, so that a lane length of approximately 19 m extends over half the court.
It is also favorable if adjacent webs are welded to one another along their adjoining edges. This can be done, in particular, by cold welding with a material adapted to the surface material Two-component plastic is made.
The surface material is particularly loosely laid on a solid surface. In practice, the weight and material of the base layer make it unnecessary to carry out additional gluing.
This also applies because, due to the sliding layer, there are no excessive forces in the direction of the floor covering.
However, it is recommended in some cases that the surface material is secured in its position by nails or staples shot into the ground or by screws that reach into the dowels inserted into the ground. In this way, the surface material is always kept smooth or even stretched.
The surface material has a textile reinforcement insert with particular advantage. Since the elasticity can be influenced in part by the profiles on the underside, the reinforcement insert allows the base layer to be made even thinner and therefore less material.
In particular, the textile reinforcement insert is a woven fabric made of polyethylene spun yarn. A relatively coarse-meshed network is sufficient.
Here, the textile reinforcement insert should be in the lower half of the surface material, so that the elastic deformation of the upper projections is not impaired.
Polyurethan. The surface material can consist essentially of a polyester, especially if a reinforcement insert is used. But it can also consist essentially of foamed polyvinyl chloride. Other plastics are also possible, for example polyurethane.
The surface material has a hardness of 60 to 65 Shore with particular advantage. The prefabrication of the surface material makes it possible to provide such hardness at the same time as the desired elasticity. The greater hardness in turn allows the projections to have a longer service life.
The sheet material preferably has an overall thickness of less than 12 mm, preferably 8 to 10 mm. The cost of materials is correspondingly low. Nevertheless, sufficient strength and elasticity can be provided as a result of the prefabrication.
The projections on the top advantageously have a height of 2 to 3 mm.
The projections are particularly advantageous knobs, i.e. projections that are free all around. In particular, the knobs can have distances of 3 to 4 mm from one another so that particles of a sliding layer can reach between the knobs to a sufficient extent.
In a preferred embodiment, 7 to 10 knobs per cm 2 are provided.
The knobs preferably taper upwards, which improves the sliding properties.
It is also advantageous if the knobs are inclined in the same direction on one side. This leads to different properties depending on the load direction. Especially if the knobs are each are inclined towards the net, there is a safe support when starting towards the net, but at the same time the desired sliding towards the net.
In some cases it is advisable to arrange nubs of different sizes next to each other. In this way, any desired surface property of the floor covering can be achieved.
The profiles on the underside should expediently have a height of approximately 1.5 mm. This leads to a sufficiently high elasticity.
In particular, the profiles for forming air cushions can have depressions with all-round closed edges after laying. These air cushions lead to a particularly high degree of elasticity.
Wasser fließt durch die Perforierungen rasch in eine entsprechende Drainage ab.Furthermore, it can be ensured that the surface material is perforated and the perforations open into interconnected depressions remaining between the profiles. The surface material can then also be used on outdoor spaces or in halls with a sliding roof. Water quickly flows through the perforations into an appropriate drainage.
The overlay does not need rubber g ranulat exist. Instead, the usual brick flour or flamed quartz sand can be used. A sliding layer made of a silicone-containing, liquid-applied material that is sprayed on, for example, is particularly recommended. This eliminates the frequent smoothing (peeling) of one scattered sliding layer.
