Definitions
- the present invention relates to an agent for preserving wood and wood-based materials based on at least one alkali monofluorophosphate and / or alkali difluorophosphate of the general formula M 2 PO 3 F and / or MP0 3 F 2 , in which M means sodium, potassium or ammonium (as a fungicide and / or insecticide).
- alkali fluorides in particular alkali bifluoride
- alkali bifluoride As wood preservatives against wood-destroying fungi and insects (see, inter alia, Chemie-Lexikon, Ullmann V. Aufl. (1976), pages 687-688).
- sodium fluoride has a low solubility and is unsuitable for immersion impregnation, for example, sodium, potassium and / or ammonium bifluoride are used in particular.
- the disadvantage of these compounds is the volatility and evaporability, which, among other things, using hydrogen fluorides. can lead to glass etching, corrosion of metals associated with the wood, reaction with calcareous building materials, etc.
- certain protective measures must be observed when handling these agents.
- FR-A1 046 062 (1) relates to an agent for the preservation of wood, consisting of a complex mixture of the reaction products of alkali biflourides with alkali phosphates.
- the aim and object of the present invention was therefore to avoid or reduce these disadvantages and to find a means for preserving wood which has a good preservative effect and a reduced tendency to corrosion and whose toxicity to warm-blooded animals is relatively low.
- a means for preserving wood and wood-based materials based on at least one alkali salt containing fluorine or fluorine ions the wood preservative as alkali salt containing fluorine or fluorine ions, alkali monofluorophosphate and / or alkali difluorophosphate of the general formula M 2 PO 3 F and / or MP0 3 F 2 , in which M means sodium, potassium and / or ammonium (as a fungicide and / or insecticide).
- Wood preservation is surprising insofar as very high and other requirements must be placed on the active substances in the field of wood preservation, so that in general those active substances which are used for use on the human body are not also suitable as active substances for the wood preservatives.
- the agent has a good preservative effect with a reduced tendency to corrode, preferably when the wood preservative consists of a mixture of alkali monofluorophosphate and / or alkali difluorophosphate, at least one biocidal and / or fire-retardant chemical compound or a compound mixture, which contains as a component a biocidal and / or fire-retardant chemical compound, and / or consists of at least one wetting agent, emulsifier, dye and / or pigment.
- the wood preservative consists of 99.95 to 95% by weight, preferably 99.8 to 97% by weight, of alkali monofluorophosphate and / or alkali difluorophosphate or a mixture of alkali mono- and / or alkali difluorophosphate with at least one biocidal and / or fire-retardant chemical compound or a compound mixture which contains as a component a biocidal and / or fire-retardant chemical compound and 0.05 to 5% by weight, preferably 0.2 to 3% by weight, of at least one wetting agent, emulsifier , Dye and / or pigment.
- the penetration depth and the distribution of the agent are improved.
- the wetting agent or wetting agent mixture is preferably used when the compound mixture (except dye) consists of inorganic constituents. If organic constituents, organic chemical biocides and the like are also used, an emulsifier without an emulsifier mixture is used. If the wood preservative is not to be colored, the dye and / or the pigment can be omitted entirely, but not the use of at least one wetting agent and / or an emulsifier.
- the wood preservative consists of a mixture of 0.1 to 80% by weight, preferably 10 to 75% by weight, of alkali monofluorophosphate and / or alkali difluorophosphate, 99.85 to 15% by weight, preferably 89.8 to 22% by weight, at least one biocidal and / or fire-retardant chemical compound or a compound mixture which contains as a component a biocidal and / or fire-retardant chemical compound, and 0.05 to 5% by weight, preferably 0.2 to 3% by weight, at least one wetting agent, emulsifier, dye and / or pigment.
- the wood preservative expediently contains at least one biocidal and / or fire-retarding inorganic chemical compound or an inorganic-chemical compound mixture as a biocidal and / or fire-retarding compound (except alkali monofluorophosphate or alkali difluorophosphate), which as a component contains a biocidal and / or fire-retarding inorganic chemical compound owns.
- the wood preservative contains as biocidal and / or fire-retardant inorganic chemical compound at least one water-soluble alkali salt and / or ammonium salt of chromic acid, dichromic acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, boric acid, borofluorohydric acid and / or an ammonium, magnesium, copper and / or zinc silicofluoride, boric acid, phosphoric acid, borofluorohydric acid and / or a water-soluble copper salt or one or more of these compounds directly or as part of the compound mixture.
- a water-soluble alkali, ammonium, potassium and / or magnesium salt or a mixture of two or more of these salts is contained in the wood preservative as part of the compound mixture in addition to the biocidal and / or fire-retardant organic chemical compound.
- These compounds can be in the form of water-soluble chlorides, sulfates, carbonates and the like. They support the action of the biocidal and / or fire retardant compounds.
- ammonium, magnesium, copper and / or zinc silicofluoride care must be taken that no alkali or other alkaline earth compounds are used with the other constituents in order to avoid precipitation of poorly soluble alkali or alkaline earth silicofluorides. This can be done, for example, by using ammonium compounds such as ammonium mono- and / or ammonium difluorophosphate.
- the wood preservative contains as a biocidal compound (except alkali monofluorophosphate or alkali difluorophosphate) at least one biocidal organochemical compound or an organochemical compound mixture which has as a component a biocidal organochemical compound, the organochemical compound consisting of at least one water-insoluble, but in an organic chemical solvent or solvent mixture soluble organic chemical fungicide and / or insecticide, and at least one emulsifier, wetting agent, dye and / or pigment and an organic chemical solvent or solvent mixture.

Description
- Poria vaporia
- geschützt.
- Prüfmethode nach EN 113 bzw. DIN 52 176.
