- the operation of the ring 21 has the effect of engage the finger 23 in the keeper 30 and realize the locking security of the lever 14 in the position shown in Figure 3 in which the element 11 occupies a closed position. It can therefore be seen that the latching device 20 essentially performs a safety function against the risks of unwanted operation of the bodywork element 11.
