Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drive bogie for rail vehicles, such as trams, with half bogies, which are at least horizontally pivotable in a cross member by joints and are connected to one another by tie rods, in which the wheels of each wheel axle are mounted independently of one another and are driven by a double universal joint shaft.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a bogie of the type mentioned, eliminating the aforementioned difficulty for the inclusion of large, arranged on the cross member motors in a suitable manner.
  • the invention is that the drive unit of the bogie is horizontally pivoted on the cross member.
  • the drive unit can advantageously consist either of two motor-gear units coaxial with the pairs of wheels and a holder that connects them and points in the direction of travel, or of a motor-gear unit that points in the direction of travel, the two axle drives of which are designed as angular gears.
  • the drive unit can also contain two double motors lying parallel to the impeller axles next to them and a holder connecting them to one another, which points in the direction of travel.
  • An advantage of the invention is that the large sliding path in the cardan shaft. which occurs in the case of smaller curve radii to be traversed, is avoided or reduced to a minimum by the "moving along" of the drive motors with the half bogies, so that a simpler cardan shaft can be used without a large sliding path. It is therefore shorter and lighter and, due to the simplification of its function, has greater security, which favors the implementation of larger services than before.
  • each half bogie is expediently designed as a universal joint, the parts of which are mounted in the half bogie and can be pivoted about an axis perpendicular to the direction of travel.
  • each half bogie contains a central part, at the ends of which vertically articulated rockers and a vertical pin, with which it is tilt-proof in the cross member.
  • the invention i. H. the pivotable arrangement of the drive unit, both in bogies with two transverse to the direction of the electric motors arranged, which can optionally be designed as double motors, as well as in the longitudinal direction of the electric motors, which can also be designed as double motors. It is also possible to arrange the motors on a common holder which is horizontally pivoted on the cross member of the bogie.
  • a cross member 1 is provided on each side with a vertically downward pin 2.
  • the pins 2 engage in a socket 3, which is articulated in the middle of the half bogies 4 transversely to the direction of travel.
  • two bolts 5 each, which engage laterally in the socket 3.
  • the semi-bogies 4 can perform a vertical tilting movement with the angle ⁇ in addition to a horizontal pivoting movement about the pin 2 with an angle a. So that the horizontal movement that occurs when driving through curves is the same for both half bogies 4, these are connected to each other by tie rods 7, which are described in more detail below.
  • coil springs 8 are arranged in the direction of travel on both sides of the pin, which cushion the tilting movements occurring when driving over uneven tracks. With regard to this cushioning, the wheels 9 are fixedly mounted in the half bogies 4.
  • the body 10 On the cross member 1, the body 10 is supported on both sides by a further spring 11 (secondary spring). Lateral links 12 serve to hold the body 10 against the driving and braking forces on the cross member 1.
  • Electric drive motors are arranged coaxially with the opposing impellers 9 between the half-bogies 4. They are carried by a holder 13 which is fastened to the cross member 1 so that it can be pivoted horizontally about a centrally arranged bolt 17.
  • the planetary gears 15 drive the wheels 9 via the cardan shaft 16 via interposed articulated couplings 18.
  • the shafts of the impellers 9 are designed as hollow shafts 19, the cardan shaft 16 penetrating the hollow shaft 19 and being connected to it by the articulated coupling 18 located on the outside of the bogie.
  • the tie rods 7 arranged between the half-bogies 4 are of split design compared to the other conventional designs, their inner ends being articulated on both sides of the holder 13. Because of this arrangement, when the half-bogies 4 pivot by an angle a, the horizontally movable holder 13 also makes a corresponding pivoting movement by the same angle. As a result, the length of the cardan shaft 16 remains approximately constant. As a result, a simpler, in particular commercially available cardan shaft can be used.
  • connection of the semi-bogies 4 to the cross member 1 a is also carried out as a universal joint 38, as in the previous figures.
  • the body 10 is supported with respect to the half-bogies 4 by an air spring 20.
  • a longitudinal motor 21 is arranged in the longitudinal direction with two front-side angle gears 22.
  • the two last numbered parts form the drive unit 23a.
  • the double motor 21 is arranged on the cross member 1 a horizontally pivotable about the central pin 24.
  • the tie rods 7 are also divided and engage with their inner ends on the end faces of the bevel gear 22 in the articulation points 26.
  • the impellers 9 are driven from the angular gears 22 by means of the cardan shafts 16 and the articulated couplings 18, which drive the wheels via the hollow shaft 19. Due to the possible pivoting movement of the double motor 21, the cardan shaft 16 can be designed according to the same advantageous conditions as in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • the wheels 9 are mounted in rockers 30, which are articulated in a vertically movable manner by horizontally located bolts 31 on the half-frame middle parts 32 and are supported by spring elements 33. With this arrangement, the unsprung masses are kept very small, but an exact parallel guidance of the wheels to the central part 32 is ensured.
  • the transverse drive motors 6 and 21a are arranged between the half-bogies 27 and 27a horizontally rotatably attached.
  • the left-hand drive motor 6 and its connections to the impellers 9 are designed as in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • the drive unit is also designated 23 here.
  • the right-hand double motor 21a drives the impellers 9 via spur gear stages 37 via the cardan shafts 35 and the articulated couplings 36, which are flanged to the rockers 30 and are directly connected to the impellers 9.
  • two double motors 21a (without gear) and the holder 13a connecting them form the drive unit 23b.
  • the split tie rods 7 and 25 engage with their outer ends on the rockers 30 and on the housings of the spur gear stages 37 and with their inner ends on the drive motors 6 and 21a in the joints 34.
