Definitions
- the invention relates to a rotary pump for driving diaphragm blood pumps and for the conveyance of gaseous and liquid substances, in the manner of a trochoidal rotary piston pump, which with a 2: 3 ratio with a two-armed trochoidal jacket raceway and a triangular piston rotating on an eccentric of an eccentric shaft, with its Corners with the jacket raceway is in constant sliding contact.
- the invention relates to rotary pumps which, because of their small external dimensions, can be used wherever minimal space requirement of these pumps is a functional necessity or makes this appear desirable.
- these pumps can be used as pneumatic gas pumps or as hydraulic liquid pumps for driving diaphragm blood pumps and their special forms such as B. peristaltic pump, the pulsation pump or the peristaltic pump can be used.
- rotary pumps are generally used in technology, but especially in the field of cardiac technology as pneumatic or hydraulic rotary pumps.
- the invention relates to the position of the suction or exhaust openings.
- Rotary pumps and compressors have become known from AT-B-355 177, AT-B-351 137, DE-A-2 402 084, DE-A-2 242 247 and DE-A-2 021 513, where the inlets are described as both peripheral and side inlets.
- Neither of these rotary machines describes a pump or a compressor, where the respective inlet is used alternately at the same time as a suction or discharge opening despite continuous rotation of the piston and maintaining the direction of rotation of the piston, the direction of rotation being irrelevant, as disclosed by the subject matter of this invention .
- a rotary piston machine working in the manner of a trochoidal rotary piston machine has also become known (DE-A-2 819 851) which, in the sense of the publication “Classification of the rotary piston machine ” by F. Wankel, is a trochoidal rotary piston machine with a 2: 3 or one that has been known for a long time 1: 2 translation in slip intervention with outer stationary working space wall and external sealing parts.
- This blood pump referred to as the “artificial heart”, is to be driven by an electric motor located outside the pump housing.
- this heart pump should not be used as a high-speed compressor or motor, but rather as a slow-running heart pump that pumps the blood directly, so that the blood comes into direct contact with the internal parts of the pump.
- the pump according to the invention works as a secondary pump in that a diaphragm (blood) pump is driven hydraulically or pneumatically, as a result of which the blood does not come into direct contact with the inner parts of the rotary pump.
- An object of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages.
- the solution to the problem according to the invention lies in the fact that in a rotary pump of the type mentioned at the beginning, two suction or ejection channels, which run through the housing jacket and open into the jacket raceway, are provided, the mouth openings of which each have an overflow pocket, which are recesses over an equally large section extend in the same direction, with the position and dimension of the orifices with overflow pockets being determined so that - viewed in the radial section of the pump - the control edges of the two orifices with overflow pockets, which are in the direction of rotation of the piston, coincide with one of the two simultaneous points of the two-armed trochoids of the jacket raceway , while the position of the rear control edges of the two orifices with overflow pockets in the direction of rotation of the piston is determined such that, for example when the piston is in a dead center position, the leading piston corner immediately r lies above the front control edge of one of the two orifices, while the trailing piston corner lies directly above the rear control edge of the other orifice
- each mouth opening with overflow pockets completely or partially interrupts the trochoidal jacket raceway in width.
- each mouth opening with overflow pocket is additionally recessed in a known manner in the region of the housing shell in at least one side wall in the form of an overflow pocket.
- the rotary pump according to the invention has a housing which consists of a housing jacket 1 with a trochoidal jacket raceway 2 and two side walls, of which only the one designated by 4 is visible in the drawing.
- a triangular piston 5 rotates on an eccentric 6, the shaft of which is designated 7 and which passes through the side parts.
- sealing parts which consist of sealing strips 8 and sealing bolts 9. Furthermore, sealing strips 10 are provided on the lateral piston edges, their ends abutting the sealing bolts 9. With the sealing strips 8, the piston 5 is in constant sliding engagement with the jacket raceway 2.
- the movement of the piston 5 is controlled by the gear transmission 11.
- the drawing further shows that two suction or exhaust channels running through the housing jacket 1 and opening into the jacket raceway 2 are provided, the mouth openings 12, 12 'of which each have an overflow pocket 120 or 120', which are each in the same size as recesses Extend section (arc) of the casing raceway 2 in the same direction, the position and dimension of the orifices 12, 12 'with overflow pockets 120, 120' being determined such that - viewed in the radial section of the pump - the control edges 16 at the front in the direction of rotation 13 of the piston 5, 16 'of the two orifices 12, 12' with overflow pockets 120, 120 'each with one of the two simultaneous points D i , D, the two-arched trochoids of the outer raceway 2 coincide, while the position of the control edges 14, 14' which are at the rear in the direction of rotation 13 of the piston 5 of the two orifices 12, 12 'with overflow pockets 120, 120' is determined such that, for example, when the piston 5 is in the dead center position
- the drive unit consisting of an electric motor or an electric motor with a gearbox, is usually accommodated outside the rotary pump, and the drive takes place via the eccentric shaft 7.
- the rotary pump according to the invention is designed for a portable drive unit outside of a human or animal body or is even implanted in a human or animal body, it makes more sense due to the small construction volume if the electric motor including the gearbox is housed inside the piston 5, which is energy-efficient is possible because the pump power of an implanted membrane blood pump requires a few watts of power.
- the electric motor can also be accommodated inside the piston and the gear outside the pump, or the gear inside the piston and the electric motor outside the pump.
