Definitions

  • the invention relates to a surrounding frame for covering a wall opening for a door or the like, with the features described in the preamble of claim 1.
  • the cladding consist of relatively thick-walled wood panels, the recesses on the inside facing the wall for receiving fastening strips of insertable into holes in a console Have dowels.
  • the lining which also consists of a wooden plate, is attached to the console.
  • old wooden frame should also have an adapted surface made of natural wood veneer when the old door leaf is simply replaced by a new door leaf with natural wood surface
  • the old wooden frame must be broken out of the wall opening for re-veneering in the machining operation or for replacement with a completely new frame, which causes considerable conversion dirt and mostly requires renovation of the damaged wall surfaces.
  • old, mostly painted steel frames present in buildings should also receive an adapted new surface made of durable plastic, for example in wood decor or natural wood foil, when renovating the old wooden door leaf.
  • the invention has set itself the task of creating a surrounding frame with which an existing old wooden frame as well as an existing old steel frame can be encased for the purpose of surface renovation with as little assembly work and generation of dirt as possible, and is also suitable, for example, in new buildings, a still unclad wall opening to be equipped with a surround frame for the first time.
  • both claddings each consist of a sheet metal profile designed according to the invention.
  • the sheet metal profile can be made, for example, of aluminum with a colored anodized metal surface, or can be produced with the aid of conventional coating techniques with an adhesive surface made of plastic film or wood veneer.
  • the clear cross-section of the sheet metal profile can be dimensioned sufficiently large so that the most common widths and thicknesses of the clothing parts can be encased by old wooden frames with a single standard version of the sheet metal profile.
  • the fastening dowels can be easily and easily drilled on a line fixed on the old clothing part and aligned with the rail of the metal profile.
  • the fastening dowels can be moved to any position in the rail of the sheet metal profile, for example if a hidden nail or the like is hit during the production of the holes in the old clothing part and a new hole has to be drilled on the line aligned with the rail.
  • the sheet metal profile can be attached directly to the wall, whereby the sufficiently long mounting anchors are inserted into holes drilled directly into the wall surface and also the mounting anchors in the rail of the sheet metal profile in the appropriate place can be moved if an insufficiently stable wall joint is hit during drilling and a new wall hole has to be drilled at a different location on the specified line.
  • the one facing the wall opening and protruding beyond the plane of the reveal of the wall opening forms Profile leg of the sheet metal profile a stop for the lining of the surrounding frame according to the invention, so that the lining can be placed on this profile leg regardless of unevenness of the wall opening reveal to be clad in a new building or the lining part to be encased and rests on it full and joint-free.
  • the lining of the surrounding frame according to the invention can, if the sheet profile contains a surface coating of plastic film or wood veneer, be a wooden plate with the same surface coating or, if a metallic, colored anodized aluminum surface is desired for the sheet profile, from a wooden plate with a surface of a similar appearance Aluminum foil exist.
  • Advantageous embodiments of the plug-in fastening connection according to the invention for holding the lining of the surrounding frame are specified in subclaims and are described in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
  • FIG. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the surrounding frame for encasing an existing old wooden frame
  • FIG. 2 shows an exemplary embodiment of the surrounding frame for encasing an existing old steel frame.
  • the old wooden frame to be encased shown in FIG. 1 contains two clothing parts 1 and 2, which lie on the wall surfaces 3 of a wall on both sides, and a lining part 4, which covers the wall reveal surface 5.
  • the edge of the old frame formed by the clothing part 1 and the lining part 4 is designed in the usual way as a rectangular rebate recess 6 for a door stop.
  • the encircling frame according to the invention is accordingly composed of three pieces of clothing and a lining 9 in three parts.
  • the claddings each consist of a U-shaped thin-walled sheet metal profile 7 or 8, which has a rail 11 running in the longitudinal direction of the profile on the inside of its profile base 10.
  • the rail 11 receives the thickened end of a plurality of fastening dowels 12 which is adapted to the clear rail cross section and which can be displaced in the rail and can be inserted into suitably drilled bores 13 of the old clothing part 1 or 2 to be encased.
  • the holes 13 are drilled along a line aligned with the rail 11, which is placed so that the profile leg 14 of the two sheet metal profiles 7 and 8 facing the wall opening protrude beyond the plane of the reveal of the clear wall opening.
  • the lining part 4 of the old wooden frame forms the reveal of the clear wall opening and thus the profile legs 14 protrude at least into the plane of the surface of the old lining part 4.
  • the chuck 9 of the surrounding frame according to the invention can be placed snugly and without gaps on the profile legs 14 before the chuck 9 comes into contact with the old chuck part 4.
  • the old lining part 4 can immediately be used as a blind lining-like basis for a plug-in fastening of the lining of the surrounding frame according to the invention.
  • the connecting dowels 17 can be inserted into bores 18 of the old chuck part 4 drilled to match and coincide.
  • the fastening dowels 12 and the connecting dowels 17 are designed as plastic lamellar dowels which only need to be driven into the bores by the required amount and which, with their lamellas, cling to the bores in a barb-like manner with high resistance to tearing.
  • the above the level of the surface of the old lining part 4 protruding leg 14 of the sheet metal profiles 7 and 8 are so long that they partially cover the surface of the old lining part 4, and provided with holes for nails or screws 15.
  • the profile legs 14 can be attached to the old lining part 4 at points which are invisibly covered by the lining 9, so that when only one rail 11 is used on the inside of the metal profiles 7 and 8, the metal profiles tilt over the fastening dowels 12 is avoided.
  • this profile leg 14 is designed in such a way that it has on its folded surface 20 a groove-shaped receiving pocket 21 which projects under the correspondingly recessed lining 9.
  • the fastening rib of a sealing profile 22 is in this receptacle 21 pluggable, which is so wide that it covers the flush with the folded surface 20 of the profile leg 14 edge surface of the lining 9.
  • the lining 9 can be prefabricated so wide that it can be used for wall openings with different widths in new buildings or different width lining parts of existing old wooden frames, and the lining 9 can only be cut to the required width on its rebate side edge when the surrounding frame is installed , after which the cut surface is covered by the sealing profile 22 and no longer needs to be subsequently provided with a new surface coating.
  • FIG. 2 shows another embodiment of the encircling frame according to the invention, which can be produced particularly economically and which enables the cladding of an existing old steel frame 26, but can also be used just as well in new buildings to clad a wall opening which is still raw.
  • the claddings consist of U-shaped thin-walled sheet metal profiles 7 and 8, but the rails 11 arranged on the inside are offset so far laterally that the holes holding the fastening dowels 12 in any case laterally from the old steel frame 26 into the Wall can be drilled.
  • the sheet metal profile 7 serving as folding clothing has on its profile leg 14, which projects beyond the level of the reveal of the clear wall opening formed by the old steel frame 26, analogously to the exemplary embodiment in FIG.
  • the sealing profile 22 has an angled portion 27 on the edge of the folded surface 20, which forms an insertion groove 23 with the receiving pocket 21 for holding the edge of the lining 9 in place.
  • the other sheet metal profile 8 forming the second cladding of the surrounding frame has, in front of its profile leg 14, which also protrudes beyond the plane of the wall opening reveal, an insertion groove 25 formed by an angled edge 24 for holding the other edge of the chuck 9.
  • the chuck 9 is placed on the profile leg 14 of the sheet metal profile 8 which is advantageously formed somewhat longer than the edge bend 24 and is inserted into the insertion groove 25. Thereafter, only the sealing profile 22 needs to be inserted into the receiving pocket 21, the other edge of the chuck 9 being simultaneously placed on the section of the profile leg 14 of the sheet metal profile 7 forming the receiving pocket 21 and being inserted into the insertion groove 23 and then the chuck 9 is supported and held at a desired distance from the old steel frame 26 for its exact alignment.
  • the profile legs 14 can be attached to the old steel frame 26, for example by a contact adhesive or, similarly to the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1, by driven-in connecting means.
  • driven connection means are invisibly covered by the chuck 9.
  • driven connection means can be invisibly covered by an additional sealing lip 28 of the sealing profile 22.
