Abstract

The paving stone comprises a recess which divides the stone into an upper part having a smaller circumference and a lower part with a greater circumference. The lower part, having also a greater height than the upper part, comprises a ribbing or other vertically oriented interlocking means and the upper part can have the appearance of a natural stone. The shape of either the upper or the lower part may be chosen arbitrarily and independent from each other. The molding box for the manufacturing of such paving stones is made of two pieces joined together and comprises the corresponding recess. The lower piece comprises an insert for forming interlocking means.

Description

The present invention relates to a paving stone with a lower, higher part with a larger circumference in horizontal section and an upper, lower part of a smaller circumference in horizontal section, with a horizontally circumferential shoulder connecting the two parts to form a joint between laid paving stones; and a device for producing such paving stones.

From FR-A-943 877 plates for sidewalks are known which have a circumferential half-channel for the drainage of rainwater, these plates should be easily removable and should facilitate access to gas, water or light pipes located below these plates. In the case of a paving stone, however, the opposite is important, i.e. anchoring as well as possible is important.

In addition, it is known to provide paving stones with serrations, for example as in DE-A-1 658513 or DE-U1-7 829810. However, these continuous serrations mean that the upper edge of the stone which is visible in the laid state follows the outer shape and This means that the joint pattern is shaped by the technical gearing.

Furthermore, it is often desirable to give the paving stone a certain appearance or joint pattern, for example with surfaces that are curved outwards, as are known to applicants on paving stones; or that they have the appearance of natural stones. In the case of natural stones, the individual stones have to be hewn and adapted to each other, which means that laying them is very labor-intensive and therefore expensive and it is practically impossible to obtain an even approximately regular joint pattern. Above all, the cohesion is not always given, especially in the case of heavy loads from trucks, whereby the sand or bitumen between the joints first loosens, which leads to loosening of the stones.

In contrast, it is an object of the present invention to provide a paving stone which ensures good anchoring, the upper part which is visible in the installed state is largely independent of the shape design due to the anchoring and enables a regular joint pattern and which is also easy to install. This object is achieved with a paving stone described in the claims.

A first embodiment of a paving stone 1 can be seen in FIG. 1, which has a shoulder 2, this shoulder dividing the stone into a part 3 with a larger circumference and a part 4 with a smaller circumference, the height of the part 3 being greater than the height of the part 4. In the present case, both parts 3 and 4 have an outwardly curved circumferential surface in the middle and the lower part has a corrugation 6 which allows the stones to be well interlocked, see also FIG. 4. When installed, paragraph 2 creates a joint between two adjacent stones.

In Fig. ist ein weiteres Beispiel einer Verzahnung 12 angegeben, wobei auch pro Seite mehrere Verzahnungen angeordnet sein können.2 shows a paving stone 5, the surface of which is similar to a natural stone. Even in the installed state according to FIG. 3, uniform joints 8 are produced, as is aimed at with natural stone paving. The lower stepped part 3 has a corrugation 7. The use of paving stones similar to those of natural stones makes laying easy, since on the one hand there is a very good hold between the individual stones and on the other hand the stones do not have to be properly trimmed because they are very regular. 5 shows how the joints 8 between the individual stones are filled with either sand or bitumen 9. 6 shows a further embodiment variant, in which the stone 10 has a notch 11 in the middle of the same width as the joint 8, on which the stone can be separated in two by impact. This creates the variations indicated in Fig. 3 between long and short stone. A further example of a toothing 12 is given in FIG. 1, wherein several toothings can also be arranged on each side.

The stones shown in Fig. 1, 2, 6 and 7 show only a very small section of the large variety of paving stones, which can be made according to the recognizable principle of a split in height. For example, the stone according to FIG. 1 can be corrugated at the bottom as shown or have a toothing 12 like that of FIG can and also have a greater length or be shorter. Of course, the corrugation 6 and 7 can be of a different type than that indicated in FIGS. 1 and 2. In addition, the basic shapes of the two parts can differ from one another, which results in different joint widths. At the corrugation 6 and 7 and toothing 12 a certain play is to be taken into account in order to compensate for unevenness.

Für die Herstellung der erfindungsgemässen Pflastersteine können die bekannten Materialien und die verschiedensten gewünschten Farben verwendet werden.8 and 9, a pressing device and a molding box for producing the paving stones described above is shown. The molding box 13 is welded, screwed or otherwise joined together from two parts 14 and 15, the openings of the upper part 14 having smaller widths than those of the lower part 15 and the lower part 15 having a greater height than the upper part 14. In the present case 9, the two parts are welded together and the weld seams can be recognized by paragraph 16. In order to produce the corrugation 6 or 7 of the stone 1 or 5 or the toothing 12, a correspondingly shaped sheet is introduced in the lower part 15. As can be seen from FIG. 8, the stamp 17 need not be changed compared to previously known stamps, since the stone can thus be easily pushed out of the mold. 8 also shows the movable floor 18, which is pushed away when the prefabricated stones 19 are ejected. The manufacturing process itself is the same as with other previously known stones, after which the material is filled in and then compressed and, after solidification, is ejected by means of the stamp and transported away with the movable board. It goes without saying that the molding box 13 can be adapted to the desired shapes, and inserts in the upper part 14 or in the lower part 15 can also be used. The known materials and the various desired colors can be used for the production of the paving stones according to the invention.
