Abstract

The paving stone (5) has a shoulder (2) which divides the stone into an upper part with a smaller circumference and a lower part (6) with a larger circumference. The lower part with a greater height than the upper part has a toothing (7) and the upper part has the appearance of a natural stone. The shape of both the upper and the lower part can be arbitrary. The molding box (13) for producing such paving stones is also in two parts (14, 15) and has the corresponding paragraph (16).

Description

  • There are a large number of paving stones, although a distinction can generally be made between artificially produced paving stones and paving made of natural stones. However, in the case of the latter in particular, laying and, in particular, cohesion is often not easy to achieve, since natural stones do not have a uniform shape. Even with artificial stones, it is often difficult to obtain an even joint, although it is often an advantage if the anchoring of the stones to one another is quite large.
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide paving stones, a process for their production and an apparatus for carrying out the process which do not have the above disadvantages and which can have a uniform joint width and which can be well anchored to one another. The object is achieved as described in the claims.
  • The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to a drawing of exemplary embodiments.

  • 1 shows a first embodiment of a paving stone 1 which has a step 2, this step dividing the stone into: part 3 with a larger circumference and part 4 with a smaller circumference, the height of part 3 being greater is the height of part 4. In the present case, both parts 3 and 4 have an outwardly curved peripheral surface in the middle. When installed, paragraph 2 creates a joint between two adjacent stones. 2 shows a paving stone 5, the surface of which is similar to a natural stone. Even in the installed state according to FIG. 3, uniform joints 8 are formed, as is aimed at with natural stone paving. The lower, stepped part 6, however, has a corrugation 7, which allows good interlocking of the stones with one another, see also FIG. 4. The use of such paving stones similar to natural stones makes laying easy, since on the one hand a very good hold between the individual stones exists and on the other hand, the stones do not have to be hewed right, because they are very regular. 5 shows how the joints 8 between the individual stones are filled with either sand or bitumen 9. 6 shows a further embodiment variant, in which the stone 10 has a bead 11 in the middle of the same width as the joint 8, on which the stone can be separated in two by impact. This gives rise to the variations indicated in FIG long and short stone. 7 shows a further example of a toothing 12, wherein a plurality of toothings can also be arranged on each side.
  • The small ones shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 6 and 7 show only a very small section of the large variety of paving stones which can be produced according to the recognizable principle of a division in height. For example, the stone according to FIG. 1 can be corrugated at the bottom like stone 5 or serrated like stone 12, or the stone of FIG. 2 below smooth or provided with teeth like that of FIG. 7. Of course, the stone can have any other shape, such as the shape of a circular sector in order to be able to lay the stone in a circle and can also be of greater length or shorter. Of course, the corrugation 7 can also be of a different type from that indicated in FIG. 2. In addition, the basic shapes of the two parts can differ from one another, which results in different joint widths. A certain play has to be taken into account in the corrugation 7 and toothing 12 in order to be able to compensate for unevenness.
  • 8 and 9, a pressing device and a molding box for producing the paving stones described above is shown. The molding box 13 is welded, screwed or otherwise joined together from two parts 14 and 15, the openings of the upper part 14 having smaller widths than those of the lower part 15 and the lower part 15 having a greater height than the upper part 14. In the present case 9, the two parts are welded together and the weld seams can be recognized by paragraph 16. In order to produce the corrugation 7 of the stone 5, a correspondingly shaped sheet is introduced in the lower part 15. As is apparent from Fig. 8, the stamp 17 needs against Not to be changed over previously known stamps, as this allows the stone to be easily pushed out of the mold. 8 also shows the movable floor 18, which is pushed away when the prefabricated stones 19 are ejected. The manufacturing process itself is the same as with other previously known stones, after which the material is filled in and then compressed and, after solidification, is ejected by means of the stamp and transported away with the movable board.
  • It goes without saying that the molding box 13 can be adapted to the desired shapes, and inserts in the upper part 14 or in the lower part 15 can also be used. The known materials and the various desired colors can be used for the production of the paving stones according to the invention.
