Definitions
- the invention relates to an electromagnetic relay according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- a relay with a one-piece coil former is also known from the same document, an extension being formed on the end face of the coil former, which forms part of the wall of the contact chamber.
- the contact chamber is then closed by various additional parts, wherein adjusting screws reaching through the wall of the housing can be used to adjust the contact plates.
- the seal between the different parts and especially on the set screws is rather cumbersome and complicated.
- a small contactor is also known from DE-A-2 011 044, in which the one-piece coil former forms several contact chambers in one attachment.
- the yoke plates serving as contact plates are fastened in the slots in the coil body, as a result of which the yoke plates already receive their final spacing precisely.
- the contact space must be sealed later, which poses certain problems due to the abutting plastic and metal parts.
- the object of the invention is to design a relay of the type mentioned in such a way that the contact plates can be embedded in the walls of the contact chambers using simple injection technology and that the contact plates can still be adjusted within certain limits even after the contact chamber has been closed.
- the coil body itself is made in one piece, on which, however, only one half of the contact chamber is integrally formed on the end face, while the second half of this contact chamber is fitted as a closure piece.
- the closure piece on the other hand, also has only one embedded contact plate and can be manufactured in the same way.
- the connection of the two covering parts for the contact chamber takes place by bringing plastic surfaces on top of one another, which are easy to seal. Nevertheless, after these parts have been put together, there is still a possibility of adjustment for the contact plates.
- At least one of the contact plates is expediently ferromagnetically coupled to a flux guiding element, which is expediently designed as a housing cap.
- This ferromagnetic coupling for closing the excitation circuit can take place via the contact plate itself, if it is ferromagnetic, or via an additional pole plate.
- the relay is polarized, wherein the coil body extension and the closure piece can form a common cavity for receiving a permanent magnet.
- pole plates it is expedient for pole plates to be arranged in the adjustment recesses of the attachment and the closure piece, each of which rests on a contact plate at one end and is brought up to a pole of the permanent magnet at its other end.
- pole plates can, at the same time, effect the coupling of the excitation flux to the flux guiding element, for example the housing cap, by appropriate design.
- the pole plates are expediently Z-shaped, but other shapes can also be selected to match the relay construction.
- it is self-evident to provide electrical insulation of the contact plates, which can be ensured, for example, by means of a film between the contact plate and the pole plate or between the pole plate and the housing cap.
- the adjustment recesses of the coil body attachment and the closure piece are expediently filled with potting compound after the pole sheets have been introduced and, if appropriate, after the contact sheets have been adjusted.
- the contact tongue of the relay is expediently fastened to an elongated flow plate which is inserted into the coil former from the end face opposite the contact chamber.
- This insertion opening can be covered with a fleece, for example, and then sealed by filling the housing cap with potting compound.
- the flux plate which extends approximately parallel to the contact tongue within the coil former, can also carry an additional auxiliary magnet.
- This can be an advantage if, after the mechanical adjustment of the contact plates, the con not have their optimal position.
- the contact tongue can then be magnetically influenced with an auxiliary magnet, so that the otherwise known mechanical adjustment of the contact tongue is not necessary.
- the contact tongue can be adjusted by means of its corresponding, possibly different, magnetization.
- 1 to 4 has a one-piece coil body 1, to which the winding 2 is applied and in the tubular interior 3 of which a contact tongue 4 extends approximately axially parallel. It is attached at one end to a carrier 5, which is inserted as a flow guide plate parallel to the contact tongue in grooves 6 of the coil body and is attached by a press fit. A connecting pin 5a is formed on the free end of the carrier 5.
- the free end of the contact tongue extends into a contact space 7 arranged on the end face in front of the coil body flange 1 a, which thus represents a continuation of the coil interior 3.
- the envelope of this contact space is formed by a projection 8 which is integrally formed on the coil body flange 1 and by a closure piece 9 which is manufactured separately.
- the parting plane 10 between the neck 8 and the closure piece 9 runs in the coil axis.
- a contact plate 11 is embedded in the coil former 8 so that the contact section 11 is exposed in the region of the contact chamber 7 and forms a contact surface opposite the free end of the contact tongue 4.
- a contact plate 12 is embedded in the closure piece in such a way that the contact section 12a forms a contact surface in the contact space 7.
- a contact pin 11b leading to the outside is formed on the contact plate 11, and a connecting pin 12b is formed on the contact plate 12.
- the contact sections 11 a and 12 a are embedded in the bobbin extension 8 and in the closure piece 9 with their edges, while the middle part is exposed both inwards to the contact space 7 and outwards.
- the coil body extension 8 thus has a recess 13 which extends through to the contact section 11a, while the closure piece 9 has a corresponding recess 14 which extends through the contact section 12a.
- Z-shaped pole plates 15 and 16 are inserted, one end of which lies flat on a contact section 11a and 12a, and the other end of which is brought up to a pole of a permanent magnet 17.
- the permanent magnet 17 lies in a magnet chamber 18, which is formed by the coil body extension 8 and the closure piece 9.
- the two pole plates which are simply inserted into the recesses 13 and 14 from the outside, have the task of guiding the permanent magnetic flux to the contact plates.
- the pole plates 15 and 16 also close the field flux circuit between the contact tongue 4 and the ferromagnetic housing cap 19.
- pole plates 15 or 16 could also be omitted.
- the pole plate 16 could have a U shape instead of the Z shape.
- an arm 16a ' which is bent in the opposite direction and shown in dashed lines, would be provided, which effects a direct coupling of this pole plate to the housing cap 19.
- electrical insulation between the contact plate 12 and the housing cap 19 must be ensured. This could be achieved, for example, by a film (not shown) between the pole sheet arm 16a 'and the housing cap 19.
- the contact plate 11 is injected into the coil body 1 with the molded-on extension 8, which also has the coil connection pins 20.
- This coil body is wound; as far as the contact plate 11 is contaminated, it is easily accessible for cleaning.
- the flux plate 5 with the magnetically conductive contact tongue 4 is then inserted into the coil former. Thereafter, the contact space is closed by fitting the closure piece 9 with the magnetically conductive contact plate 12, which is also injected.
- the contact space is obtained by pressing the plastic parts together. Already largely tight, while the opposite end of the coil body 1 can be covered with a nonwoven film 21. Before the closure piece 9 is pressed on, the permanent magnet 17 must be inserted into the magnet chamber 18.
- the contact distance between the contact sections 11a and 12a can be reduced by pressing the contact sections 11a and 12a through the recesses 13 and 14 with an adjusting tool.
- This setting of the contact distance can be done step by step, the contact distance being measured in each case by suitable means.
- the position of the contact tongue 4 can be adjusted by suitable adjustment at its attachment point before the bobbin is closed.
- the contact tongue can also be influenced magnetically.
- an auxiliary permanent magnet 22 can be provided, which effects a monostable switching behavior of the relay.
- Auxiliary permanent magnets 23 and 24 could also be provided in the recesses 13 and 14, as shown in FIG. 5. Otherwise, the relay according to FIG. 5 corresponds to the representation from FIG. 1.
