Abstract

To reduce heat transmission between an inside area (J) and an outside area (A) in an aluminum casement window or door frame construction, the frame is formed of three seperate rail elements (6, 7, 8) which are structurally interconnected by glass fiber reinforced polyester strips (9, 10) which are positioned to cooperate with steps (20a, 20b, 20c) formed on a wood window or door frame so that, upon closing the window or door, two air chambers (12, 14) will be formed, separated by an intermediate projecting strip (37) projecting from the intermediate rail (7); additional sealing strips (16) can be provided, the strips being retained between legs (22, 26) formed on the rails and defining grooves therebetween.

Description

The invention relates to a heat-insulating aluminum composite profile.

Furthermore, the invention relates to a window or door construction with a frame made of the aluminum composite profile.

There are already known metal frames for windows and doors which are insulated against the passage of cold by inserting a web made of heat-insulating material, in particular plastic or hard rubber, between an outer profile rail and an inner profile rail (AT-PS 200 312). . For technical reasons, the choice of material and dimensions of the thermal barrier are limited, which is why only limited thermal insulation can be achieved with such composite profiles. If there is a large temperature difference between the outside and the interior of the room, condensation can still occur. Known composite profiles of this type are unsatisfactory in the case of higher requirements for thermal insulation, for example in connection with triple glazing.

The object of the invention is to achieve an aluminum composite profile or a window or door construction produced therewith with a significantly improved thermal insulation value.

The invention with which this object is achieved results from patent claims 1 and 4.

It is surprisingly shown that a much better thermal insulation value can be achieved with this design according to the invention than with only one thermal insulation web, even if it would have the same extent or cross-sectional area as the two thermal insulation strips together. The double chambers arranged one behind the other in the heat transfer direction largely prevent heat convection and reduce the temperature follows in two stages. This makes it possible to make use of the advantages resulting from the use of aluminum composite profiles, such as weather resistance, dimensional stability, freedom from maintenance, and still achieve particularly good thermal insulation values.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the object of the invention is shown. The drawing shows a section through a window construction.

A stationary metal frame 1, also known as a frame, interacts with a casement 2 made of wood, which is provided with insulating glass 3, in the present case with three glass panes 5 held together by seals 17. The frame 1 is attached in the usual way to a wall 4 or a stationary wooden frame 11 and connected by screws or the like, not shown. The sealing against the metal frame 1 is carried out by means of sealing strips 30, 32, 34, for example made of rubber or plastic.

The frame 1 contains three aluminum rails, namely an outer rail 6, a middle rail 7 and an inner rail 8. The outer rail 6 and the middle rail 7 are with one another other rigidly connected by a first thermal insulation strip 9 of approximately rectangular cross-sectional shape. This thermal insulation strip 9 engages in a groove 23, which are formed by legs 22 of profile rails 6 and 7 which are U-shaped in cross section. The rigid fastening of the thermal insulation strip 9 in the two grooves 23 takes place, for example, by clamping and / or gluing.

Between the middle rail 7 and the inner rail 8 there is a second thermal insulation strip 10 of approximately rectangular cross-sectional shape, which engages in grooves 25 of the rails 7 and 8. These grooves 25 are formed by U-shaped legs 26 in the rails 7 and 8. The rigid fastening of the thermal insulation strip 10 in the grooves 25 takes place, for example, by means of a clamping action and / or gluing. The two thermal insulation strips 9, 10 extending over all four sides of the frame are thus arranged one behind the other in the direction of heat transfer, where J denotes the inside of the room and A denotes the outside. The thermal insulation strip 10 facing the inside J preferably has the same thickness as the other thermal insulation strip 9, but a slightly smaller width. The heat insulation strip 9 ' has, for example, a cross-sectional area of approximately 100-125 mm 2 Thermal insulation strips 10 of about 80-100 mm 2. Both are preferably made of rigid, glass fiber reinforced polyester plastic. The thermal insulation strip 10 runs at right angles to the window surface; the other thermal insulation strip 9 is inclined slightly outwards, so that the two thermal insulation strips 9, 10 form an angle of 3 ° to 10 ° to one another, preferably approximately 6 °. The fork-shaped legs 22 and 26 of the central profile rail 7, which protrude on opposite sides, for receiving the two thermal insulation strips 9, 10 are arranged offset in height from one another.

The wing frame 2, which is preferably made of wood, contains several steps with - seen in horizontal cross section - horizontal step sections 18 and vertical step sections 20. When the wing frame 2 is closed, a first chamber 12 and a second chamber 14 separated therefrom are formed on all four sides, which are formed by a elastic sealing strips 16 are divided with a sealing lip resting against the central vertical step part 20. The first chamber 12 is thus through a web 36 of the profiled rail 6 running approximately parallel to the plane of the glass panes 5, through the first thermal insulation strip 9, through the sealing strip fen 16 and limited by the middle step 18, 20 of the casement 2. The second chamber 14 is delimited by the sealing strip 16 with a sealing lip, by the middle profile rail 7, by the second thermal insulation strip 10, by the leg 40 of the inner profile rail 8 and by a step of the casement 2. The middle profile rail 7 contains one above or against the sash 2 opening groove 38 for receiving the sealing strip 16. The web 37 of the central profile rail 7 protrudes beyond the U-shaped legs 22 of the thermal insulation strip 9, but ends somewhat below the horizontal step part 18 of the frame 2. Der vertical step part 20 of the casement 2, close to the inside of the room J, bears against the inner rail 8. A continuation of the profile rail 8 projects downward, its lower end being directed against a wooden frame 11. In accordance with the steps 18, 20 of the casement 2, the legs 36, 37, 40 are graded to one another.

As an embodiment variant, it is also possible to attach additional elastic sealing strips between the upper end of the profile rail 6 and the sash frame 2 in the drawing and between the profile rail 8 and the sash frame 2.

A temperature difference in the heat transfer direction, i.e. between the inside J of a window or a door and the outside A, is thus broken down in two successive, heat flow-separated stages, with a thermal insulation value K of about 1.8 kcal / m 2 h C O being achieved , which corresponds to standard triple glazing.

Such a frame construction is well suited for the renovation of existing windows, whereby the usually existing wooden frame 11 can remain on the building.

The frame 1 can also be used for building exterior cladding or the like in addition to windows and doors.
