Definitions
- the invention relates to a tube consisting of a tube body made of a laminate with a metallic barrier layer, a tube head made of a plastic and a rondelle made of a laminate with a metallic barrier layer arranged on the outer surface of the tube head shoulder, the tube head forming the tube body. engages, and processes for their manufacture.
- Such a tube is known from FIGS. 4 and 5 and the associated description of DE-A-2 628 014.
- the rondelle also has a gradation that is adapted to the shape of the tube head shoulder.
- the rondelle has the function of a connecting body and has a much thicker metal layer than the tubular body. This ensures that the required frequency is matched to this thicker metal layer in the intended inductive welding so that the metal layer in the tube tube practically does not heat up.
- the metallic barrier layer in the rondelle also serves to increase the gas tightness in the tube head.
- a similar tube is known from DE-A-1 486 193, but the rondelle is arranged on the inner surface of the rounded tube head in such a way that the edge of the tubular body is gripped under on the outer edge of the head, the outer edge of the rondelle being upward can be bent back into the head.
- the metal layer of the tube body and that of the rondelle which is only filled with plastic, so that the gas tightness in the tube head area is deteriorated.
- the object of the invention is to provide a tube of the type mentioned and methods for its manufacture, by means of which it is possible to save material, to improve the gas tightness and the appearance in the head area.
- the rondelle Due to the abutment of the rondelle and the tubular body, the rondelle is smaller in diameter, which saves material.
- the rondelle does not have to have a step so that a thicker metal layer is not necessary. Due to the butt joint, the blocking metal layers of the rondelle and the tubular body are so close together, even if they are not of the same strength, that an almost optimal gas tightness is guaranteed. There is also no need for material thinning to seal exposed metal layer ends. There is a nice, even transition lying on one level between the tubular body and the rondelle.
- the same laminate material is used for the rondelle and tubular body, additional costs are eliminated and absolute color uniformity is ensured.
- Claim 3 specifies an advantageous method for producing the tube according to the invention.
- a tube contains a tubular body 1, a tube head 2 and a conical annular rondelle 3.
- the tubular body 1 and the rondelle 3 are made of a laminate with an enclosed metal layer. Preferably both are made of the same material.
- the tube head 2 consists of a plastic and has a stepped (FIG. 1) or rounded (FIG. 2) shape in the edge region of its shoulder 4.
- the rondelle 3 is placed on the shoulder 4 and the tubular body 1 is pushed onto the tube head 2 in such a way that its cut edge 5 abuts against the outer edge 6 when molded.
- the tubular body can also be positioned first and then the rondelle 3 can be inserted.
- the tubular body 1 or the rondelle 3 can already be connected to the tube head 2 before the other part is positioned.
- the joint formed between the cutting edge 5 and the edge 6 is preferably sealed by heat transfer, possibly under pressure; this can be done separately or in connection with the connection of the tubular body 1 and the rondelle 3 to the tube head 2.
- the connection of the tubular body 1 and the rondelle 3 with the tube head 2 and the sealing of the butt joint can be carried out by induction, ultrasound, radiant heat (e.g. infrared) or by a combination of these possibilities.
