Definitions
- the invention relates to a pressure can with a container and a metering valve arranged in a container opening for the separate reception of components for a mixture or compound before their use.
- the separation of the components is also expedient if, when combined, they develop special properties, for example foams.
- foams In the case of such mixtures or compounds as well, it is known to store the components separately and to add them together only when in use.
- An example of this are the known polyurethane foams, which are used as materials in many fields of work. They essentially consist of two Grundkompone 'nth and- from small amounts of additives which one of the two components are admixed. 'If you combine the two components and mix them together, the polyurethane foam develops.
- the invention is based on the object of designing a pressure can of the type described at the outset in such a way that storage of any length is ensured and the components can be combined in the simplest manner, the processing of the mixture or the compound also being carried out without problems when in use ⁇ can be performed.
- At least one closed container containing a component is mounted in the range of movement of the metering valve or a movement member actuated by the metering valve such that it is actuated by the valve or of the movement member opens and releases the component for mixing with the further component or the further components.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematically illustrated longitudinal section of the head part of a pressure can with a metering valve for opening a container containing a component of a mixture or compound, which is stored in the range of movement of the metering valve,
- FIG. 2 shows a schematically illustrated longitudinal section of a further embodiment of the storage of the container
- FIG. 3 shows a side view of the bearing according to FIG. 2,
- FIG. 4 shows a schematically illustrated longitudinal section of a third embodiment of the storage of the container
- Fig. 5 is a schematically illustrated longitudinal section of a fourth embodiment of the storage of the container.
- Fig. 6 shows a schematically illustrated longitudinal section of a fifth embodiment of the storage of the container.
- FIG. 1 shows the apex part 1 of a pressure cell 2, on the edge 3 of which a valve disk 4 is fastened.
- Both the pressure cell 2 and the valve plate 4 are formed as thin-walled parts made of metal or plastic.
- the valve plate 4 is fastened with a plate edge 5 on the edge 3 of the pressure cell 2.
- the plate edge 5 merges into a nozzle 6, which is delimited by a shoulder 7, which in turn merges into a tube-shaped extension part 10, the diameter of which is smaller than the diameter of the nozzle 6.
- the extension part 10 can also have a part of the nozzle 6 form '. and then have the diameter of the nozzle 6.
- the extension part 10 has an edge bead 11 which enables a tubular and sleeve-shaped connecting part 15 to be securely attached.
- the edge bead 11 can, however, also be designed as a thread, so that tubular and sleeve-shaped connecting parts 15 can be screwed onto the valve disk.
- the extension part 10 is delimited by an inward facing flange 12, which has an opening 16 and serves to fasten a valve 20, which is designed here as a tilting valve.
- the valve 20 has a valve body 21 extending through the opening 16 with an inner valve seat body 22 and a spring and guide sleeve 23, in which a valve stem 24 with a longitudinal channel 25 is arranged.
- the valve stem 24 has a collar 26 on which the spring and guide sleeve 23 of the valve body 21 is supported, and an inside flange end 27, the outer edge of which seals the valve with the valve seat body 22. Outlet openings 28 are arranged in the valve stem 24 directly on the flange end 27. When the valve stem 24 is tilted, the flange end 27 is
- OMPI .. Vv'TPO body 22 is lifted off, as a result of which the can contents can exit through the outlet openings 28 into the longitudinal channel 25 and from there into the open.
- the design of the valve is of secondary importance. It is only necessary that a movable part, in FIG. 1 the valve stem 24 with the flange end 27, of the valve 20 ′′ projects into the interior of the can 2.
- the connecting part 15 is formed in FIG. 1 as a sleeve 35, one end of which has an inwardly drawn-in shoulder 36, which forms an opening .37.
- the other end of the sleeve 35 abuts the extension part 10 and thereby holds the sleeve 35 in place.
- cylindrical sleeve 35 in the shape of a truncated cone, corresponding to the dash-dotted line 38, and to clamp it between the edge 3 of the pressure cell 2 and the plate rim 5, in order in this way to hold the sleeve 35 in its position.
- a container 40 is inserted, which is supported on the shoulder 36.
- the container 40 contains a component of the mixture or compound to be made for use. It is also possible to insert more than one container 40 into the sleeve 35.
- the container 40 of glass or other material that destroy by pressure or can be opened, for example at a predetermined breaking point '. The opening takes place by opening the valve 20 in that the valve stem 24 is pressed against the container 40, as a result of which the container or containers 40 are destroyed or opened by the flange closure 27.
- the contents of the container or containers 40 are emptied through the Mouth 37 and comes together with the component filled in the can 2 and can by shaking in this be distributed evenly, creating the desired mixture or compound.
- connection part 15 is also designed as a sleeve 35, but in its cylindrical or conical part it has a double bead 41 ' and a concave shoulder 36 ', to which a connecting piece 42 connects.
- a number of slots 43 are provided in the area of the shoulder 36.
- a container 40 is mounted on the seat 44 formed by the connecting piece 42. Several containers 40 can also be arranged here.
- a movement member 45 which in FIG. 2 is a plate 46 with an opening 47, is used to transmit the movement of the flange end 27 of the valve stem 24.
- the plate 46 can also be different, e.g. cruciform or wheel-shaped.
- the openings in the movement member 45 serve for the passage of the mixture or connection when the valve 20 is actuated.
- the plate 46 When the valve stem 24 is actuated, the plate 46 is pressed against the container 40, which is destroyed or opened in the process. The component runs into the concave part of the shoulder 36 and merges with the component in the container 40 via the openings 43.
- the slots 43 are usually closed or only slightly opened so that the pressure equalization between the can and the interior of the sleeve 35 can take place. If the plate 46 is pushed onto the double bead 41, the sleeve 35 is deformed in the lower region, as a result of which the slots 43 are opened. The plate 46 is held in the bead 41. If the valve stem .24 is pressed further, the
- connection piece 42 The advantage of the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3 is that a riser pipe 48 can be attached to the connection piece 42. This ensures that the contents of the can 2 can be processed in any position.
- FIG. 4 is a similar embodiment of the sleeve as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the starting position of the plate 46 and the container 40 is shown in dashed lines. If the plate 46 is snapped into the double bead 41, the component flows out of the destroyed or opened container 40 through the openings 43. A membrane 49 is provided so that the liquid cannot flow through the nozzle 42. When the outflow of the component through the openings 43 has ended, the plate 46 is brought into the position shown in FIG. 4 below the double bead 41, in which it closes the openings 43. If the can contents are processed after the components have been mixed, the membrane 49 is destroyed by the internal pressure of the can, and the can contents can be processed.
- the container 40 is formed as a hollow ring and arranged on the outer side of the connecting part 15. Inside the connection part 15, the moving member 45 is a roof-shaped, provided with openings 50 plate 51 are on the connecting part 15 on the 'inside and on the outside ⁇ page beads 52, 53 are provided, on which the container 40 and the plate 51 supports.
- the cylindrical connecting part 15 is spread apart, as a result of which the container 40 is destroyed, for example if it consists of glass, or is opened. 5, it is possible to arrange several containers 40 on the outside of the connecting part 15.
- the advantage of this embodiment is that the upper empty space of the can 2 can be kept relatively small.
- the component flowing out of the container 40 can be mixed with the other component by shaking the can.
- a riser pipe 48 can also be used in this embodiment, see FIG. 5.
- connection part 15 is a roof-shaped plate 55, the ends of which protrude through openings 56 in the wall of the connection part 15. If the flange termination 27 presses on the web 55, the connecting part 15 is cams. 57 spread, whereby the outer container 40 is destroyed or opened.
- the connecting part 15 expediently consists of a suitable plastic which is sufficiently dimensionally stable to enable the container 40 to be destroyed or opened.
- the connection part 15 should be able to be deformed by the movement member 45, so that on the one hand the container 40 is destroyed or opened and on the other hand the slots 43 are opened with the aid of the double beads 41 can.
- the movement member 45 is also expediently made of a plastic, while the container 40 can be made of glass or a plastic.
