Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a floor drain, in particular for bathrooms, basements, flat roofs or terraces, with a catch cup open at the top, a drain arranged on the side of the catch cup, which is connected to the catch cup via an opening in the side wall of the catch cup, and an upper part which closes the catch cup.
Processes for bathrooms, laundry rooms, cellars, etc. are known. Most floor drains consist of a collecting cup with a drainage spout arranged on the side and a grate that is firmly connected to the collecting cup. Suitable odor completion of laterally arranged pipe in general a complicated Kla is p pen device is provided. The disadvantage of the known floor drains is that they have a construction which is too complex and therefore too expensive and, furthermore, the assembly is relatively complex since the exact insertion, taking into account the alignment lines, is relatively complicated.
From DE-GM 7 425 777 a floor drain is known, which consists of a drain box with a built-in drain pipe and an inserted screen box with odor trap. The drain pipe is inserted into an opening in the bottom surface of the drain box and projects into the interior of the drain box with a nozzle. The sieve box inserted into the drain box forms a bell in the lower part, which is placed at a distance over the nozzle of the drain pipe and thus forms an odor trap. In the upper opening of the drain box is a square grate made of glass fiber reinforced polyester can be used. The disadvantage of this known floor drain is that it can only be used for vertically arranged waste pipes and the tiles or tiles must be adapted to the angular or bulky shape of the upper edge of the drain box when installing the drain. There is also the risk that the inlet is blocked by the fine-meshed sieve of the sieve box.
From DE-GM 7 428 120 a floor drain for wet rooms is known, which consists of a square housing, which is equipped at the top with an inwardly projecting flange. A square grate with openings arranged parallel to one another can be placed on this flange. In front of the laterally arranged drain pipe is a diaphragm which projects freely into the interior of the housing and which is connected to the flange at the upper edge of the housing. The screen serves as an odor trap. The known floor drain has the disadvantage that an effective odor trap cannot be guaranteed and that the assembly of the drain is relatively difficult since the tiles have to be adapted exactly to the shape of the upper edge of the drain housing.
Außerdem ist der bekannte Ablauf sehr aufwendig konstruiert.DE-GM 7 516 102 relates to a modular unit for creating a basement drain, which is formed by a container with the above inlet opening and side outlet opening. The container is rectangular in shape and has a rectangular flange at its upper end into which the grate is inserted. The drain socket is attached to the side of the housing. The odor trap consists of a manifold that is flanged to the side drain pipe and protrudes into the interior of the housing. The disadvantage of the known modular unit is that the unit is very large and is hardly suitable as a floor drain for bathrooms and balconies. In addition, the known process is very complex.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a process which is of simple construction and enables easy installation, in particular in the case of tiled floors.
The object is achieved by a floor drain or flat roof drain of the type specified at the outset, which is characterized in that the collecting cup is equipped in the upper part with a circular or cylindrical ring flange and a removable cover can be placed on the circular flange and can also be rotated, the lid consists of a square frame with an exchangeable grate plate.
The process according to the invention has the advantage that it is constructed relatively simply and can be easily manufactured from a commercially available plastic. The process according to the invention is flame-retardant, resistant to cold and hot water, corrosion-resistant and alkali and acid resistant. It is easy to assemble, as the cover can be freely aligned with the grate, e.g. the tile direction or the alignment lines of the corresponding floor can be adjusted. It is not necessary to cut the tiles when using the drain according to the invention, which considerably simplifies assembly and shortens the assembly time.
The drain according to the invention can be used in particular as a floor drain and as a drain for flat roofs, in particular for tiled surfaces, e.g. in bathrooms, laundry rooms, cellars, balconies, terraces etc.
The drain according to the invention consists of a collecting cup open at the top with drain stubs arranged on the side. The opening of the drain socket on the collecting cup is partially closed by a vertical partition. The ' . Vertical partition can be arranged in the upper half or in the lower half of the opening in the side wall of the collecting cup, depending on the use of the drain. With a drain that acts as a yard drain for the discharge of dirty water with solid particles is used, the partition in the opening of the side wall of the collecting cup is preferably arranged in the upper half. The lateral outlet connection is preferably cylindrical and the cross section depends on the type of waste water. In the case of wastewater with coarse impurities, the cross-section of the drain socket is as large as possible.
A circular or circular-cylindrical ring flange is provided in the upper part of the collecting cup, which preferably forms the upper open edge of the collecting cup. The ring flange has e.g. a flange height of about 0.5 to 3, in particular 1 to 2 cm. A cover equipped with perforations or a cover with an inserted grate can be placed on the ring flange of the collecting cup. The lid is preferably square and rotatable through 360 ° on the flange.
On the underside of the cover, female connectors are arranged next to each other on a circular line at a close distance. The female connectors are pressed under tension onto the ring flange of the collecting cup so that the cover can be slid on the ring flange of the collecting cup. The female connectors are preferably equipped at the lower end with a horizontally extending, inwardly projecting edge which engages under the ring flange of the collecting cup. A plate which is preferably also square and can be inserted into the lid and has openings arranged parallel to one another.
The drain can also be equipped with an odor trap. The nozzle consists of an insert open at the top and bottom. The nozzle is inserted into the collecting cup in such a way that the lower edge is arranged below the opening in the side wall of the collecting cup. The odor trap is preferably only provided for drains in which an odor trap is important, for example in bathroom and cellar drains. According to one embodiment of the invention, the drain can also have a connection option for at least one lateral inlet. The inlet connector can be either a straight or a curved or a fitting provided with several connection options, which can be fastened to the collecting cup in one of several positions rotated relative to one another. With a single, preferably quarter-circularly curved pipe bend, three feed directions can be operated, namely from above and from two sides. In addition to assembly, this also simplifies storage. The inlet connector is preferably made of an impact-resistant plastic, for example acrylic butadiene styrene, polyamide or polypropylene.
