- a fitting is already known in which several carriages, supported by rollers, move on a rail extending horizontally from one end to the other of the support piece of the window or of the threshold of the door. These trolleys are coupled to the leaf by swinging links. These are strongly inclined when the opening is lowered in the closed position and slightly inclined when the opening is raised in the sliding position. As soon as a relative sliding between the carriages and the opening is caused, the oscillating links straighten up, raise the opening, and after having slightly exceeded the vertical, stop in a position of slight inclination corresponding to the position of sliding of the opening. Exceeding the vertical and stopping the oscillating links in a position of low inclination must prevent an unexpected lowering of the opening by its own weight in the closed position.
