Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a system for operating a sliding leaf, said seal compression, wherein the leaf is movable in a direction transverse to its sliding direction, between a closed position in which the leaf is supported in a manner waterproof against the frame, and a pre-opening position in which it is spaced apart to allow it to slide in a plane parallel to the plane of the frame.
  • the invention also relates to a door or a sliding leaf window equipped with the operating system.
  • the system according to the invention applies to all doors or sliding doors of windows or doors, especially in windows. It finds as much application for doors or windows with a sliding leaf, possibly being inserted inside a partition (partitioning) in the open position, as for doors or windows with two sliding leaves.
  • the leaves can be moved, each in translation in a direction transverse to its direction of sliding, away from one another, that is to say one towards the inside, and the other towards the outside of the room.
  • Doors or windows comprising a leaf slides relative to a frame, which can be operated in a direction transverse to the direction of sliding to reach a pre-opening position in which the leaf is removed from the frame and able to slide in a plane substantially parallel to the plane of the frame, exist in a conventional manner.
  • the frame defines an opening in the partition, in a generally vertical plane.
  • the sliding leaf In the closed position, the leaf is in frontal support against the frame.
  • the sliding leaf carries a peripheral seal, which is then compressed between it and the frame, so as to seal the door.
  • the pre-opening position the sliding leaf is removed from the frame, and it can then be moved in translation in a plane substantially parallel to that defined by the frame, so as to allow opening.
  • the pre-opening movement is achieved by oscillating arms in a rocking motion along a horizontal plane. These arms have the axis of rotation of the carriages capable of moving along the frame, generally located at the ends of the bottom rail of the opening.
  • a disadvantage of this system is that it requires mounting elements, including sliding carriages, very resistant to support the weight of the suspended panel.
  • the present invention aims to provide a system for operating a sliding leaf relative to a frame, and mobile translation in a transverse direction to the frame, which has a reduced manufacturing cost and installation.
  • the invention also aims that the system allows to obtain a clearance of the leaf which is both large enough so that the seal disposed at the periphery of the leaf does not undergo friction during the sliding of the leaf. leaf, but not too important to remain comfortable to implement; it ensures a simple and easy maneuvering of the leaf, at the same time as an optimal guiding of the leaf, and a good control of the compression force of the joint during the reverse closing operation.
  • the invention also aims to provide a solid system, resistant in time, and ensuring a good seal when the leaf is closed.
  • the invention proposes a system for operating a sliding leaf according to claim 1.
  • the tilting guide rail being disposed on a lower cross member of the frame, the sliding carriages are fixed vis-a-vis under a lower cross member of the sliding leaf.
  • the invention thus has the advantage that the weight of the leaf is supported by the ground.
  • the sliding carriages can thus be those commonly used for single sliding systems.
  • the system can more easily accept a fairly heavy leaf.
  • the weight of the leaf creates an offset of the leaf favorable to the opening, and thus allow to open the leaf without great effort or cause friction of the joints when sliding, unlike previous systems where the Tilting guide rail is located in the upper part of the frame.
  • the movement of the leaf in the direction transverse to the direction of sliding is therefore associated with the movement of the guide rail fixed on the frame, in this same transverse direction.
  • the leaf and the rail are operational to allow the sliding of the leaf along the rail.
  • the amplitude of the displacement of the guide rail is advantageously chosen to allow both a deflection of the leaf which is sufficient to completely clear the seal carried by the door leaf against the frame, and which is as low as possible so as not to to intrude too much into the room in which the door or window is mounted.
  • the movement of the leaf can be of the order of one centimeter. Indeed, in the preferred embodiments of the invention, the system is provided to allow the movement of the leaf towards the interior of the room, that is to say towards the user located inside the building. . This is however not at all restrictive of the invention, and it is also possible to envisage within the scope of the invention an outward movement.
  • the guide rail is provided with means for its tilting in the transverse direction, between a closed position and an open position, more particularly between a high closing position and a low position of pre-opening.
  • This embodiment is quite advantageous, both from the point of view of the simplicity of assembly, the ease of operation of the sliding leaf in the transverse direction that results, for its positioning in pre-opening or for its closing.
  • This embodiment is not, however, limiting of the invention, and any other means for moving the guide rail in the transverse direction, in particular by translation, between as much within the scope of the present invention.
  • the invention furthermore meets the following characteristics, implemented separately or in each of their technically operating combinations.
  • the guide rail comprises a longitudinal foot substantially cylindrical, a longitudinal head and a longitudinal blade connecting the foot to the head.
  • the foot of the rail is housed in a longitudinal housing, for example such as a longitudinal groove of the frame or via a profile inserted into a groove of the frame, so as to be movable in rotation, and to allow the tilting of the head between the closed position and the pre-open position, more particularly between the upper closed position and the lower pre-open position.
  • the head of the rail cooperates with the guide carriages carried by the sliding leaf vis-à-vis the rail.
  • the head of the rail comprises at least at its top a portion of rounded shape so that these carriages are free to rotate around the head, and able to slide along this head to cause the sliding of the leaf.
  • the head of the rail is substantially cylindrical.
  • the system according to the invention is such that the center of gravity of the rounded portion, in particular substantially cylindrical, of the head of the rail is located further forward, in the direction of pre-opening of the leaf, than the point of foot rotation, when the leaf is in the closed position.
  • This facilitates the fact that the leaf is maintained in a "natural" configuration favorable to its opening, in particular to avoid the friction of the joints during sliding.
  • roller carriages which can be mounted on the head of the rail, in particular on the rounded part, so as to slide along this head.
  • said guide rail comprises two zones (sealing) longitudinally débcrd, located on either side of its longitudinal axis, to close the housing containing the guide rail and to to prevent elements such as dust, pebbles, from entering the housing of said rail for example during the passage of people or animals, which can interfere with the operation of the system. More particularly these longitudinal zones in overflow are located at the head of the rail, on either side of the longitudinal axis of said head. Details and advantages of these overflow areas will be mentioned in the description of the figures.
  • the system comprises means for limiting the tilting of the rail, which consist in particular of an abutment which limits the tilting movement of the rail, in particular of the longitudinal blade connecting the foot to the rail. head of the rail.
  • limiting means are advantageously placed so as to ensure a tilting of the rail, and thus a clearance of the leaf, the smallest possible, while being sufficient to allow to completely clear the seal which, in the closed position, is compressed between the sliding leaf and the frame to ensure watertightness and airtightness of the door or window.
  • This handle is made in a conventional manner, and associated with a cremone driving, via a linkage, bolts that penetrate conventionally in cooperating struts of the frame.
  • the system comprises means for controlling the travel of the leaf in the transverse direction, which are arranged on at least one edge of the leaf, and preferably three edges of the leaf excluding the edge carrying the sliding carriages.
  • the carriages being fixed under the lower crossmember of the leaf, the control means are associated with the two uprights and preferably the upper crossmember.
  • control means are actuated from the operating handle of the leaf.
  • This handle acts in control of the travel of the leaf in the transverse direction by means of at least one rod movable in translation along an edge of the leaf. It actuates preferably three rods which are interconnected and which are movable respectively along the edges of the leaf which carry them.
  • the system comprises, preferably on an upper cross member of the leaf, at least one, and preferably two, control members of the front deflection of the leaf whose operation is related to the displacement of the leaf. a rod along this cross.
  • the rod is itself controlled, conventionally, by the operating handle of the leaf.
  • control members each cooperate advantageously with the upper cross member of the frame, so as to guide the movement of the leaf in the transverse direction.
  • Each control member is preferably an elongated piece curved in its central portion. This piece is fixed at one end to the upper cross member of the leaf, and it cooperates by a second end portion opposite on the one hand with the movable rod, and on the other hand, by an end pin, with the upper cross member of the frame, such that the translation of the rod along the upper cross member of the leaf causes the displacement of the first end of the part, and therefore the upper crossmember of the leaf which is secured in the direction transverse to the direction of sliding.
  • the cooperation of the member with the movable rod is effected in particular by inserting a roller carried by the rod in a groove formed for this purpose on the underside of the part, so that the roller is able to move along this groove, under the effect of the translational movement of the rod along the upper cross of the leaf. Because of the curved shape of the room, the path delimited by the groove is inclined with respect to the axis of the upper cross member of the frame.
  • the cooperation of the body with the upper cross member of the frame is carried out in particular by inserting the end peg of the piece into a longitudinal groove provided for this purpose under the crosspiece, so that the peg is able to move along this groove during the sliding of the leaf, but it can never be released, so that any displacement in the direction transverse to the direction of sliding is prohibited.
  • the amplitude of displacement advantageously corresponds with the amplitude of the forward travel of the leaf printed at the lower rail, by means of limitation of tilting of the guide rail.
  • the system comprises, on each jamb of the leaf, at least one bolt fixed on a movable rod along this amount is cooperating with a Z-shaped keeper disposed vis-a-vis on a solid section sliding the leaf.
  • the keeper guides the bolt moving in the transverse direction. Its amplitude also corresponds to that of the travel movement printed at the leaf at the lower and upper rails.
  • the profile is attached to the upright at the top and bottom of the window or door, while being able to slide in the frame at the same time as the leaf.
  • the movement of movement of the handle of the leaf conventionally causes the movement of rods along each of the vertical and upper horizontal edges of the leaf.
  • This movement causes organs carried by these rods to move and guide the leaf in a frontal movement movement, with adequate amplitude.
  • These movements of the members automatically cause the tilting of the guide rail in engagement with sliding carriages fixed to the leaf in the lower part of the frame.
  • the leaf Conversely, to close the door or window, the leaf is guided in sliding, always by the same handle, to the pre-opening position, then pushed backwards. During this movement, the members follow a reverse stroke relative to the frame, which brings the leaf in the closed position, in which the seal is compressed again between him and the frame, sealing the closure.
  • the peripheral seal carried by the leaf is never in contact with the frame. It does not wear out.
  • the system according to the invention has the same advantage when the Peripheral seal is not worn by the leaf, but by the frame.
  • the system according to the invention is advantageously simple to produce. It is inexpensive to manufacture, because made from conventional elements, and installation, because of its simplicity of assembly. Its installation cost is notably reduced compared to the devices of the existing prior art. It also has good durability of operation, and it significantly reduces the wear of the seals during the sliding of the leaf. It ensures a good control of the compression force of the joint. It is also easy to implement because it requires a reduced effort to move the leaf in the direction transverse to its direction of sliding.
  • the invention also relates to a door or a sliding leaf window following a frame, which is equipped with the operating system described above.
  • FIG. figure 1 A door with leaf or sliding door relative to a frame equipped with the operating system according to one embodiment of the invention is shown in FIG. figure 1 .

  • An additional piece 45 pierced with a cavity 46, is fixed on the plate 61 between the two pieces 43.
  • This cavity 46 is intended to receive, when the rail 42 is positioned in its operative configuration on the frame, a pin of drive fixed on the upper cross member 21 of the sliding leaf.
  • the operating system has been described above in the case of a door with a single leaf, coming if necessary, in its open position, fit inside the partition on which the door is mounted but the operating system can be adapted to a door having two sliding leaves, conventional in themselves.
  • leaf 48 ' shown at the bottom right of the figure, is in a pre-opening position.
  • Leaf 48 shown at the top left of the figure, is him in the closed position.
  • Both leaves 48 and 48 ' are slidable for opening each in the direction respectively 49 and 49', that is to say in which they intersect.
  • the operating system is then configured to ensure that each of the leaves 48, 48 'can be moved in the direction transverse to the direction of sliding. These transverse displacements are carried out in opposite directions, that is to say by moving the leaves away from each other, one towards the inside of the room, the other towards the outside.
  • Each of the leaves 48, 48 ' is equipped with an operating system according to the description above on its lower cross member, on its upper cross member, and on its outer amount as opposed to the amounts vis-à-vis 47 and 47 .
  • each leaf is thus ensured by moving the roller in the strike carried by the associated section.
  • the returns face each other and provide closure sealing at the area of the uprights 47, 47 '.
  • the lower cross member 1 of the frame is disposed in its normal position of use, that is to say substantially horizontal.
  • it comprises a profile 70, for example extruded aluminum, comprising a seal 71.
  • This profile 70 is intended to bear against a peripheral seal 72 carried vis-a-vis the leaf 19 and also in compression at the joint 71 with the hubcap 73 carried by the lower cross member 3 of the leaf 19.
  • the leaf 19 comprises in its front part a seal 74.
  • the seals 71, 72 and 74 ensure the closing seal when the leaf is in frontal support against the frame, and more particularly against the section 70.
  • the profile 70 comprises a portion 70a in which is housed the guide rail 18, movable in the direction transverse to the sliding.
  • This portion 70a which is itself housed in a groove 75 of the cross member of the frame, has a shape, height and position adapted to the configuration of the rail 18 and has areas 70b and 70c respectively forming a stop on the side and side. other rail 18 to limit the amplitude of the front travel of said rail 18 to a few millimeters (6-8 millimeters).
  • the rail 18 also has a longitudinal head 12, of rounded shape at its top, a longitudinal foot 13 of shape rounded, and a longitudinal blade 14 connecting the foot 13 and the head 12 of said rail.
  • a slide carriage 11 Under the lower cross member 3 of the leaf is fixed a slide carriage 11, which is conventional in itself, the roller type. Several identical carriages can be fixed under the crossbar 3.
  • the roller of this carriage 11 engages around the longitudinal head 12, at its rounded top, so as to be movable along this head, to thereby allow the sliding of the leaf 19. This also allows the carriage 11 to rotate around this head, to thereby allow the rail 18 to swing in the direction transverse to the sliding.
  • the longitudinal head 12 comprises two longitudinal zones 12a and 12b, longitudinal and located on either side of the longitudinal axis of this head, which provide a seal at the rail and thus prevent stones and dust enter the housing containing the rail 18 located in the lower part of the cross member 1 of the frame when for example the passage of people or animals.
  • These overflow areas 12a and 12b have a width adapted to that of the housing of the rail 18 so that the housing is closed, the system is in the closed position or in the pre-open position as also shown in FIG. figure 10 relative to this same system in pre-opening position.
