  • the frame 20 is completed by two crosspieces 26, 27 which interconnect the two side parts 23.

  • the leaf springs 53 on which the stops 46 are fixed guarantee sufficient flexibility when gripping the sheet and avoid possible damage to its rear edge.
  • the distance between the series of pliers 14 of the second system and the corresponding series of pliers 4 of the first system is adapted to the length of the sheets in the direction of transport and is such that in the rest position of the support 40 the sheet F is stretched while in the advanced position of the support, said sheet is relaxed.
  • the first system 1 is again provided with support rods 6 which support the sheet F once the posterior edge of the latter has exceeded the drying zone and a cam, not illustrated in the figures , allowed the opening of the clamps 14 to release this edge.
  • hollow support rods 9 provided with orifices are provided 8 (fig. 1) which are connected to a suction system and the posterior edge of the sheet is therefore pressed when it is gripped by the clips 14.
  • Other means could be provided to ensure this plating.
  • This mechanism is illustrated diagrammatically in FIG. 1 and comprises a bent arm 65 fixed by a stud 66 to a shaft 67 which can rotate.
  • This shaft 67 is itself fixed to a system of links 68, 69, 70, the last link being provided with a roller 71 provided for engaging a cam 72 driven in rotation in synchronism with the chain wheel 15 via a belt 73.
  • the profile of the cam 72 is provided so that when the rear end of a sheet F has just been released by the clamps 14, the rod system moves and takes the position illustrated in Figure 1, in which the bent arm 65 enters the path of the leaf and abruptly raises its posterior end, then it immediately returns to the normal position in which it extends below this path, parallel to it.
  • This device comprises a first chain wheel 75, connected by a chain 84, permanently, to the first system of chain pliers 1, and formed by a crown fixed by six bolts 76 on the hub projecting from a second wheel 77 secured to a shaft 78 belonging to the second system 11 of chain pliers and on which is fixed another chain wheel 80 on which the chain of said second system is guided.
  • the wheels 75, 77 are therefore mounted coaxially on one another and can be turned relative to one another after having unscrewed the screws 76 which connect them.
  • a pinion 81 normally subjected to the action of a return spring 83 which retains it in a non-driving position, as shown in dashed lines on the FIG. 8, which can be pushed, against the force of the spring 83, into a driving position, as shown in solid lines in FIG. 8, in which it meshes with a toothing 79 formed on the wheel 77.
