Definitions
- Hydrazone-isoindolines of the formula are valuable intermediates for the production of dyes and pigments. They are obtained, inter alia, by reacting an iminoisoindoline of the formula with hydrazine hydrate. According to the current state of the art, higher temperatures of approximately 80 to approximately 220 ° C. are required for this reaction step.
- B. DE-OS 1 670 748 (Ex. 79) the implementation of 1- (cyanomethoxycarbonylmethylene) -3-imino-isoindoline with hydrazine hydrate in boiling glacial acetic acid.
- a reaction product is indeed produced in good yield. However, it only partially consists of the desired hydrazono compound. It is very difficult to obtain this in pure form from the mixture. The effective yield of the desired product is only a fraction of the number given for the mixture and is insufficient for an industrial process.
- the starting materials mentioned above are obtained by condensation of the corresponding 1-amino-3-imino-isoindolenine with an acetonitrile of the formula NC-CH 2 -R in a molar ratio of 1: 1.
- Examples are those in GB-PS 1, 467, 595 , Page 7 mentioned acetonitriles mentioned, also cyanoacetic acid-o-chlorophenyl, p-chlorophenyl, -m-chlorophenyl, -m-methylphenyl, -p-methylphenyl, -3,4-dichlorophenyl, -3,5 -dimethylphenyl-, -3,4-dimethylphenyl, -3-chloro-4-methylphenyl-, -o-methoxyphenyl-, -2,4-dimethoxyphenyl-, -2,5-dimethoxyphenyl-, p-acetylamino-phenyl-,
- Preferred starting products are imino-isoindolines of the formula in which B represents a benzene radical which can have halogen atoms, alkyl or alkoxy groups with 1-6 C, alkanoylamino groups with 2-6 C a carbamoyl or trifluoromethyl group or a phenoxy or benzoylamino group optionally substituted by halogen atoms or alkyl groups with 1-4 C
- the reaction of the iminoisoindoline with the hydrazine takes place in a polar solvent, in particular of a hydrophilic nature, for example an amide such as dimethylformamide, formamide, dimethylacetamide or N-methylpyrrolidone, furthermore dimethyl sulfoxide, acetonitrile or an alcohol such as ethyl cellosolve.
- a polar solvent in particular of a hydrophilic nature, for example an amide such as dimethylformamide, formamide, dimethylacetamide or N-methylpyrrolidone, furthermore dimethyl sulfoxide, acetonitrile or an alcohol such as ethyl cellosolve.
- a mixture of polar solvents can also be used.
- this can contain an aliphatic carboxylic acid, such as glacial acetic acid, in at most twice the molar amount, based on the iminoisoindoline. However, it is preferably carried out in the absence of aliphatic
- the reaction provides a particularly pure product if stoichiometric amounts of the hydrazine or the hydrazine-donating compound are used.
- the reaction temperature is expediently between 10-40 °.
- the hydrazono-isoindoline obtained is expediently isolated by adding an aliphatic alcohol with 1-3 C, in particular ethanol, the end product precipitating out and being able to be separated off by filtration. It is obtained in excellent yield and purity and can be used without further purification as a starting product for further syntheses, in particular for the condensation with aldehydes or ketones according to GB-PS 1 467 595 for the production of pigments. However, it can also be processed into pigments in a one-pot reaction without intermediate insulation. Thanks to the purity of the hydrazono-isoindoline obtainable according to the invention, the pigments produced therefrom are obtained in good yield and purity.
- Example 9 instead of the 1- (cyano-p-chlorophenylcarbamoylmethylene) -3-hydrazino-isoindoline obtained according to Example 1, the intermediate product from Example 1 B is used, only 3.1 g are obtained under otherwise identical reaction conditions ( 25.3% of theory) of a likewise red nickel complex with the same composition as in Example 9.
- the present metal complex colors PVC and lacquers in shades that are no longer as pure or as light and weatherproof as the metal complex pigment from Example 9.
- Example 9 If, instead of the 1- (cyano-p-chlorophenylcarbamoylmethylene) -3-hydrazino-isoindoline obtained in Example 9, the hydrazinoisoindoline derivative derived from Example 33 is used in Example 9, a red metal complex of the following formula is obtained under otherwise identical reaction conditions (only one of the possible isomeric or tautomeric forms was considered):

Description
So beschreibt z.
Man arbeitet jedoch vorzugsweise in Abwesenheit aliphatischer Carbonsäuren.
Man erhält 16,8 g (83 % d. Theorie) der Verbindung der Formel
als gelbbraunes Pulver. - 11,6 g 1,3-Diiminoisoindo)in 75-proz. Man erhält 15,8 g (78 % d.

Man erhält 28,7 g (85 % d.
