Definitions

  • the invention relates to an extension piece of furniture according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • extension furniture extends in particular to accommodating utensils of all kinds in connection with a bathtub, in particular thus to the easily accessible and yet aesthetically satisfactory accommodation of bathing and washing utensils, but also of other everyday objects.
  • a piece of furniture designed as a bath table of the aforementioned type is known from DE-OS 25 27 514.
  • a storage board extends across the width of the bath and is supported on both bath edges, while a storage compartment hanging next to the bath is supported on one side edge of this storage board is provided.
  • the result of this training is that the accessibility of the inner tub rim for the user is impaired by the storage board spanning the tub width.
  • a secure mounting of the storage board against displacement in the transverse direction to the tub edge is not readily provided, so that the use requires attention with regard to a possible slipping of the board from a tub edge and falling into the tub interior.
  • US Pat. No. 2,896,895 describes a clamp which can be fastened to the tub rim and which has a flat shelf on the top corresponding to the width of the top edge of the tub rim, a soap dish mounted on the clip on the inside and a roller for receiving on the outside Has bath towels.
  • the storage space that can be used by the bather is very limited and the soap dish that extends relatively far into the interior of the tub is an additional disruptive factor for the bather.
  • the aim of the invention is a significant increase in bathing comfort, in particular in that the storage spaces offered are extensive and varied.
  • the approach furniture should on the one hand the storage of personal items such. B. glasses, jewelry, etc. as well as the bathing or aftercare utensils on the other hand, serve and protected against splashing water, covered, easily accessible by the bather and z. B. have water-protected drawers.
  • the approach furniture, especially with regard to attachment to bathtubs should be characterized by simple and secure mounting, without any structural intervention or changes to the bathtub being necessary.
  • the vertical support part of the generally substantially angular furniture body by abutment on the outside of the tub, enables simple and safe support against tilting moments acting on the furniture body in the direction of the outside of the tub due to the weight load on the furniture body itself and objects accommodated on it.
  • the dead weight of the vertical support part which is located on the outside of the tub, can be dimensioned without difficulty so that it cannot tip over to the tub interior.
  • the supporting part of the furniture body projecting horizontally with respect to the inner vertical surface of the supporting part rests here on a tub rim and can be secured with simple means against slipping in the lateral direction without the support part having to be designed to span the interior of the tub.
  • the movement of the extension furniture is facilitated by rolling or sliding support on the inside of the support part.
  • a horizontal adjustability of this roll or slide support can be provided particularly advantageously. This enables a sufficiently precise vertical position adjustment of the support part and correspondingly a horizontal position adjustment of the support part with its contact surfaces and the like for the different training forms of the bathtub edge.
  • the extension furniture enables a versatile equipment with storage space, storage compartments and recesses for the accommodation of various utensils.
  • the end face of the support part with a pull-out can be particularly advantageous or swivel-out shelf.
  • the upper side of the supporting part can be used as a storage surface overall, for which purpose an edge surrounding this upper side is advantageously provided.
  • the supporting part can also receive a swiveling upper part with a storage surface.
  • the side surfaces of the support part and also of the vertically downwardly extending support part can be provided with preferably pull-out storage compartments or even in the case of limited space, only with recesses for freely accessible, fixed storage areas.
  • This version requires little additional space in the direction transverse to the outer surface of the tub.
  • the supporting part with a hinged or detachable upper part to form an interior which is closed on all sides but is easily accessible if required.
  • swiveling storage compartments can be arranged one above the other in a tier, so that a compartment of surface elements which are variable in their horizontal position is available.
  • the outer surface of the supporting part and the support part adjoining the bottom, as well as the side surfaces in the area outside the bath, also offer the possibility of a multi-tier arrangement of storage areas and storage compartments, as well as, if necessary, drawers or swivel drawers.
  • the furniture body 1 shown in FIG. 1 consists of a part 2 which extends essentially in the vertical direction over the tub edge 21 of the bathtub and is supported in the horizontal direction on the tub edge 21 of the bathtub 20 and a horizontally towards the inside of the bathtub 20 and over the tub edge 21 extending, supporting part 3, which rests on the upper edge 21a of the tub rim 21.
  • An open storage surface 31 with a surrounding edge 31a is formed on the upper side of the support part 3.
  • this shelf is in a position suitable for use, both with regard to the bathtub 20 and, for example, to a sanitary installation 22 arranged at a short distance next to it.
  • On the outside of the supporting part 3 there is an open storage compartment 32, which is partially covered by edges 32a formed, which adjoin downward on the outside of the support part 2 tier-shaped, in the same way, formed open receiving compartments 33.
  • a swiveling drawer 34 which is rotatably mounted about an axis Z.
  • the latter can be swung out in the direction of arrow P towards the inside of the bath tub 20.
  • a receptacle for utensils accessible to the user of the tub, but also a storage surface located above the tub interior. Nevertheless, this part protruding from the inside edge of the tub can be removed very easily and quickly, so that the inside of the tub is freely accessible to the user.
  • Fig. 1a the support of the support part 3 on the upper edge of the tub rim 21 is shown in detail.
  • the underside 5 of the section of the support part 3 projecting above the top edge 21a of the tub is provided with a roller bearing 7, which enables displacement in the longitudinal direction of the tub edge.
  • a simpler plain bearing can be used instead of this construction.
  • the rollers 7a of the bearing 7 provided in the example are supported with their axes Y 1 transversely to the longitudinal direction of the tub edge.
  • a holding claw 10 which is pivotably mounted about an axis X is provided, which in turn engages with a roller 8 on the inside of the tub rim and pulls the upper part of the furniture body 1 against the tub rim.
  • a counter support in the form of a slide bearing element 9 is provided on the inner surface 4 of the support part 2 in order to maintain the easy displacement of the furniture body along the edge of the tub.
  • a roller bearing 6 acting against the outside of the tub edge is arranged with a holder 6a which can be displaced and fixed transversely to the outside of the tub and with a support roller 6b.
  • this adjustable support which also does not lead to any hindrance to the longitudinal displacement on the tub edge 21 due to the roller, an exactly vertical position of the support part 2 and thus an exactly horizontal position of the various storage surfaces can be achieved despite the different design and inclination of the outer tub surface.
  • Fig. 1a a substantially vertically arranged tub outer surface is indicated by dashed lines, while the fully solid line shows an inwardly inclined design of the tub outer surface. Both versions can be taken into account by the transverse adjustment of the roll bearing 6 mentioned.
  • a simpler slide support instead of a roller bearing may be considered.
  • the support part 2 comprises two levels 2a and 2b arranged one above the other, the latter being subdivided again by an inserted storage compartment 2c.
  • the two levels of the support part 2 and the support part 3 with its swiveling storage compartment 34 are fastened to a vertical support plate 14 arranged centrally in the furniture by means of resilient latching connections 14c, which can be seen in detail from the cross section according to FIG. 1c.
  • FIG. 2 shows the construction of the holding device with holding claw 10 and rolling element 8 for support on the inner tub rim.
  • a tension spring 10a ensures that the counter support bearing 9 bears against the outer tub rim.
  • the structure of the support bearing 6 at the lower end of the support part 2 can also be seen from FIG. 2.
  • the rolling element 6b of this mounting can be displaced in the direction transverse to the outer tub surface as a result of the support bracket 6a fastened with a toothing 6a on the underside of the support part 2. All you need is a resilient pressure on the toothing, for which.
  • B. is provided a retaining pin 6d with pressure spring ring or the like. To be lifted by hand. This results in the vertical adjustment of the support part 2 already mentioned.
  • Fig. 3 shows for the support of the support part on the tub edge, the arrangement of two rollers 7a provided in the longitudinal direction of the tub edge with mutual spacing with their axes Y i directed transversely to the tub edge.
  • the holding claw 10 with its pivot axis X - X is arranged between the rollers 7a in the manner shown in FIG. 3, which results in improved guidance stability when moving the extension furniture.
  • the counter support bearing elements 9 indicated in FIG. 1 a can be arranged in the same way as the rollers 7 a with a mutual spacing on both sides of the holding claw 10.
  • the holding claw 11 - also provided here with a rolling element 8 for low-friction support on the inner tub edge - has a thin-walled, elastically flexible section 11a instead of a pivot bearing. This means reduced construction and manufacturing costs.
  • a retaining web 11 b is integrally formed on the one-piece claw body for the transverse adjustment to the tub edge for the purpose of adaptation to different edge thicknesses. This retaining web can be used in the manner shown in FIG.
  • the flexible section 11a of the claw body ensures that the furniture body is pressed against the tub rim.
  • a particularly advantageous swivel bearing construction for the storage compartment 34 in the support part 3 is to be pointed out.
  • this storage compartment designed as a swivel drawer insertable or removable, vertically arranged swivel axle bodies Z and Z 2 are provided in corresponding bearing recesses in the furniture body.
  • the swiveling direction can be adapted to the respective usage position.
  • the insertion of both axles also represents a simple closing lock of the swivel tray.
  • drawers 51, 52, 54 arranged in the manner of a tier are provided in the area of the inner end face and the front side face of the supporting part or the supporting part, while the upper end of the furniture body 1b is formed by a framed storage area 53.
  • a drawer 61 arranged above the tub edge and horizontally extendable in the longitudinal direction thereof, as well as a swivel drawer 62 with a horizontal swivel axis, which is tied in the position of use above the tub interior by tension members 62a.
  • swivel drawers 81 are provided on the support part 3, the upper end of which is again formed by a framed storage compartment 83, about a common, vertical swivel axis Z 3 .
  • This tier-like arrangement of swivel shutters enables a multitude of settings for different use cases and offers a large available total storage area with little space requirement when swiveled in.
