Abstract

A filament-feeding apparatus for a wet freshly dyed yarn has a feed wheel centered on and rotatable about an axis and having a pair of side parts having generally circular peripheries lying in parallel spaced-apart planes perpendicular to this axis, and a plurality of angularly spaced center parts axially bridging the side parts and having outer edges axially aligned with the peripheries. The wheel is open and free of structure in zones radially inward of the peripheries and radially outward of secants extending between the outer edges. A flexible endless belt having a width equal at least to the axial spacing between the peripheries is held by a plurality of pulleys in a circular arc radially against these peripheries so that the belt forms upstream and downstream nips at the ends of the circular arc. A filament is fed under tension tangentially of the wheel to the upstream nip between the side parts of the wheel and is withdrawn under tension and tangentially of the wheel from the downstream nip between the side parts. The filament is thus stretched over the outer edges into a succession of straight-line secants along the engagement arc and only engages the belt at the outer edges along this arc.

Description

The invention relates to a yarn delivery mechanism intended for yarn running in particular or uni-sectionally differently freshly dyed but still to be fixed, which with a rotating delivery wheel, which consists of two spaced-apart guide disks and a plurality of axially parallel conveyor ribs arranged therebetween, and with one the delivery wheel is partially wrapped around and the material to be conveyed is pressed against its conveying ribs, endlessly rotating, flexible pressure belt.

Such yarn delivery mechanisms are known from GB-A No. 1335150, in particular in the case of circular knitting machines, the pressure belt in each case being guided in its full width over the delivery ribs of the delivery wheel which are relatively close to one another and radially recessed relative to the circumference of the guide disks and presses the yarn against them. Because of the pressure belt that wraps around and drives the delivery wheel with a relatively large circumference, these yarn delivery plants enable high yarn conveying speeds and thus a correspondingly high production output due to the resulting large slip-free driving effect. This also applies to a limited extent to other known yarn delivery plants, in which the yarn is guided between a driven delivery wheel and an attached pressure belt attached to it, or also a pressure roller attached to it, or via two conveyor rollers of a slip delivery plant arranged in parallel with one another. All these known yarn delivery plants have the disadvantage, however, that the yarn is squeezed to a greater or lesser extent, especially since it is always involved in the transmission of the driving forces from the driving to the driven delivery member. This squeezing of yarn is particularly disadvantageous in those cases where it is a matter of conveying yarn that is freshly dyed in a single color or multicolor and is therefore still to be fixed, especially for yarns with a so-called space-dying effect, where the yarn is concerned different colors are applied in rapid succession or at short intervals. This is because the aforementioned squeezing effect between the delivery wheel and the pressure roller or pressure belt has a particularly disadvantageous effect, because it causes an undesirable bleeding of the dye liquor applied to the yarn, particularly at the inlet gusset between the delivery wheel and pressure element and in the case of pressure belts, also in the course of their further attachment to the yarn comes and the desired space-dying effect is not achieved or is achieved only incompletely.

The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a yarn delivery unit, in particular for freshly dyed yarn, which on the one hand allows a high yarn conveying speed to be achieved, but on the other hand stresses the yarn to be conveyed as little as possible, in particular causes virtually no yarn crushing. Starting from a yarn delivery unit of the type mentioned at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the edge of the pressure belt is supported on the guide disks, in that the conveyor ribs extend radially up to the circumference of the guide disks and in that the number of conveyor ribs is selected such that the Distance between two adjacent conveyor ribs is a multiple of the rib thickness, the yarn between the conveyor ribs being guided essentially without contact. In this way it is ensured that the yarn to be conveyed lies only in the area of its conveyor ribs between the pressure belt and the delivery wheel, that is to say it remains completely free between them, whereby the yarn is conveyed at high running speed on the one hand, but hardly at all on the other is squeezed, in particular also spared from color smearings. This also contributes to the fact that the pressure belt is practically not exposed to color contamination due to its punctiform support on the yarn passing by, and the dabs of color that are picked up both by the belt and by the conveyor ribs of the delivery wheel are mainly thrown off due to the high circulation speeds. As practice has shown, freshly dyed, in particular also mini-space dyed yarn can be conveyed with the new yarn delivery plant at high running speeds of up to 1500 m / min and more, without any impairment of the color produced in the upstream dyeing device. especially space-dying effect. The same advantageous effect is also achieved with yarns treated with other liquid application agents.

The delivery wheel advantageously consists of a solidly designed wheel body with a circumferential groove machined therein, which is subdivided in the circumferential direction by a plurality of webs which are inserted into its side walls forming the guide disks and which run parallel to the axis and form the conveying ribs. This results in an extremely simple manufacture of the delivery wheel provided with the conveyor webs and the two guide disks and at the same time its solid construction, which is important for the high rotational speeds of these delivery wheels.

In order to avoid the yarn vibrations caused mainly by the respective run-up of the individual yarn sections on the conveyor webs rotating around the paddle wheel or to suppress them as far as possible, damping pins are arranged in the circumferential groove of the delivery wheel between the conveyor webs, which are parallel to the axis and which are approximately at the level of each the yarn support points are adjacent Conveyor webs running yarn guide edge.

According to a further feature of the invention, the guide disks on the delivery wheel are provided with circumferential toothing, of which individual teeth are formed by the conveyor webs, the pressure belt having a corresponding external toothing interacting therewith. In this way, on the one hand, any slippage between the delivery wheel and the adjacent pressure belt is avoided and, on the other hand, the conveying effect is correspondingly increased by the respective, slightly cranked clamping of the yarn between the contact edges of the conveyor webs and the tooth gaps in engagement with the pressure belt.

Furthermore, the invention provides that the delivery wheel is followed by a thread break monitor, which consists of a suction cup arranged in the immediate vicinity of the running yarn with a built-in light barrier. The yarn coming from the yarn supply plant normally runs past this suction cup completely unaffected, whereas if the yarn breaks, the yarn trailing and accumulating in the suction cup, so that the light barrier present here will respond after the yarn has accumulated and the delivery wheel will stop.

Furthermore, a light barrier is also provided on the circumference of the delivery wheel outside of the wrapping area of the pressure belt, which monitors the yarn support edges of the conveyor webs and which stops the delivery wheel at these points if there is sufficient yarn accumulation.

Finally, the invention also provides that several delivery wheels are advantageously arranged axially parallel to one another and are each to be driven via clutches by a common gear. To this end, the transmission suitably consists of gear shafts which are arranged axially parallel to one another and are driven by a common motor via toothed belts or the like and are provided with flywheels, with which the delivery wheel shafts, which are respectively coaxial, are connected by drive via electrically controlled brake clutches or of them are to be uncoupled. This ensures that the delivery wheels can be quickly uncoupled and stopped individually when the yarn breaks, and after the yarn break has been eliminated, can be brought back to their target speed with the greatest possible acceleration, without having to switch the respective stopped delivery wheel on and off at the other yarn delivery plants would be detrimental.

In the drawing, several exemplary embodiments of yarn delivery plants according to the invention are shown schematically. It shows:
  • 1 shows the basic design of a delivery unit provided with a single drive in a side view,
  • 2 the associated top view,
  • 3 shows an advantageous embodiment of the yarn feeder in side view,
  • 4 shows a side view of the delivery wheel offset by 90 ° from FIG. 3,
  • Fig. 5 is a side view, and
  • Fig. 6 is a top view of a common drive gear intended for a plurality of delivery wheels arranged axially parallel to one another.

Es versteht sich aber, dass auch nur ein oder mehrere Garne in dieser Weise gefärbt werden können.1 and 2 consists essentially of the delivery wheel 3 to be driven by the drive motor 1 via the shaft 2 at a controllable rotational speed and the circumferential pressure belt 5, which partly presses against the yarn to be conveyed made of acid and base resistant flexible material, e.g. a suitable plastic belt. The pressure belt 5 is guided over the two guide rollers 6, 7, of which the former serves as a belt tensioning roller and is correspondingly adjustable, while the other guide roller 7 can be arranged in a stationary manner. The yarn 4 to be conveyed is dyed differently in sections in a space-dying dyeing device upstream of the yarn delivery unit (not shown further) and then runs over the deflection roller 8 and from there further between the pressure belt 5 and the delivery wheel 3 via the deflection roller 9 to a downstream fixing chamber 10. In the present case, two yarns 4 ′, 4 ″ are conveyed lying side by side in parallel. However, it goes without saying that only one or more yarns can be dyed in this way.

The delivery wheel 3 essentially consists of two spaced-apart guide disks 11, 12 which only support the pressure belt 5 at its marginal edges. Between the guide disks 11, 12 3 delivery ribs 13 are present on the delivery wheel, which extend at least up to near the wheel circumference and press here against the pressure belt 5, so that the yarn 4 on these delivery ribs 13 only lies at points 13 'and overall in total Area of the delivery wheel 3 and the pressure belt 5 is guided in a secant shape, as FIG. 1 clearly shows. In other words, the yarn 4 is clamped only on the individual support edges 13 'of the conveying ribs 13 and the belt 5 pressing thereon and is thereby conveyed effectively but also gently. In particular, there can be no smearing of the different dye application on the yarn, because this lies between the individual contact edges 13 'of the conveying ribs 13 in a completely contact-free manner and also no dye squeezing or squeezing can occur.

The preferred embodiment of the new yarn delivery unit in practice is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. According to this, the delivery wheel 3 consists of a solidly designed wheel body 14 with a circumferential groove 15 machined into it in the middle, for example turned. In this groove 15 there are a plurality of webs 13 ″ inserted into its side walls 11 ′, 12 ′ forming the guide disks, which run axially parallel and form the conveyor ribs 13. So these divide the groove 15 in the circumferential direction. Furthermore, in the circumferential groove 15 between their webs 13 '' there are also damping pins 16 which run axially parallel to the latter and which are inserted through correspondingly aligned bores in the side walls 11 ', 13. These multiplication pins 16 lie approximately at a height, as shown in FIG. 3 of the yarn guiding edge 4 "'running through the yarn support points 13' of the adjacent conveyor webs 13". These pins 16 suppress any yarn vibrations which are normally caused by the running of the incoming yarn 4 onto the circulating conveyor webs 13 ". Furthermore, the guide disks 11 ', 12' of the delivery wheel are also provided with circumferential toothing 17, of which individual teeth are formed by the conveyor webs 13 ″ located at a corresponding pitch. With this external toothing 17, the external toothing 18 present on the circumferential pressure belt 5 is in constant engagement , whereby any slippage between the delivery wheel 3 and the pressure belt 5 is avoided and, at the same time, a better yarn conveying effect is achieved, namely in that the yarn at its point-specific contact points between the contact edges 13 'of the conveyor webs 13 "and the corresponding tooth gaps 18' of the belt external toothing 18 is slightly cranked.

The length of the endless circumferential pressure belt 5 is advantageously chosen so that it is not an even multiple of the pitch of the circumferential conveyor webs 13 ". The same applies analogously to the number of teeth of the external teeth 18 on the belt 5 compared to those on the delivery wheel 3 This prevents dye residues from always being deposited on the belt 5 in the same places and thus being able to accumulate there.Rather, this results in a corresponding shift or more even distribution of any dye deposits on the belt 5 which can be more easily thrown off and practically do not contaminate or otherwise adversely affect the passing yarn.

As shown in FIG. 3, the delivery wheel 3 is followed by a thread break monitor, generally designated 19, which consists of a suction cup 21 connected to the suction line 20, which is arranged in the immediate vicinity of the yarn 4 ', 4 "running past it. In the suction cup 21 a light barrier 22 is installed, which responds in the event of yarn 4 1v accumulating in the suction cup 21 when the yarn breaks and thereby stops the drive of the delivery wheel 3.

A further light barrier 23 is arranged according to FIG. 3 on the circumference of the delivery wheel 3 outside the area of the pressure belt 5. It has the task of continuously monitoring the yarn support edges 13 'of the conveyor webs 13 "for any yarn accumulating there in the event of yarn breakage and possibly stopping the delivery wheel 3. The response sensitivity of the light barrier 23 is set so that it is not already at the Conveyor web support edges 13 'adhering dyestuff residues, but only responds when several yarn turns have accumulated on them, which occurs very quickly in the event of a yarn break due to the high delivery speed of the delivery wheel.

The pressure belt 5 is advantageously guided over three guide rollers 24, 25, 26, the guide rollers 24, 25 being approximately diametrically close to the delivery wheel, while the third guide roller 26 is arranged such that it can be adjusted at a greater distance from the delivery wheel 3 and at the same time as Belt tensioner serves.

-massen 31 vorhanden. Über elektrisch gesteuerte, insbesondere auch von den Lichtschranken 22 und 23 beeinflussbare Bremskupplungen 32, 33 können die einzelnen Lieferradwellen 2 an die Getriebewellen 27 angekuppelt bzw. davon abgekuppelt werden, wobei gewährleistet ist, dass die jeweils abgekuppelte Lieferradwelle 2 nach dem Abkuppeln sofort gebremst und nach dem Ankuppeln so schnell wie möglich auf die Solldrehzahl beschleunigt wird, ohne dass dadurch nachteilige Rückwirkungen auf das gemeinsame Getriebe auftreten.5 and 6, a preferred multiple side-by-side arrangement of several delivery wheels 3 and their common drive is shown. The delivery wheels 3 are then arranged axially parallel to one another, in such a way that their shafts 2 run coaxially to the correspondingly axially parallel transmission shafts 27, which are arranged at toothed belts 28 by the common motor 30 provided with a flywheel 29 at a controllable speed are driven. Flywheels or masses 31 are also present on the individual transmission shafts 27. The individual delivery wheel shafts 2 can be coupled or uncoupled from the transmission shafts 27 via electrically controlled brake clutches 32, 33, which can also be influenced by the light barriers 22 and 23, whereby it is ensured that the delivery wheel shaft 2 in each case decoupled is decelerated immediately after and after the coupling is accelerated as quickly as possible to the target speed without causing adverse effects on the common transmission.
