Abstract

A feed device for feeding several yarns to e.g. a false twist texturing device includes a driven feed roll and a pivotal support carrying pairs of a support rolls. An endless belt runs around each pair of support rolls and presses a yarn against the driven feed roll so that the yarn is positively advanced. The outer surface of the belt has transverse ribs. The pressure with which the belt presses the yarn against the driven feed roll is reduced, thereby reducing the power requirements of the feed device.
