Abstract
Description
- Gegenstand der Erfindung sind quaternäre Alkylamino-di-alkylcarbonsäure-di-ester der Formel 1
- Bevorzugt sind solche Verbindungen der Formel 1, wobei R1 und R2 Alkyl oder Hydroxialkyl mit 1 oder 2 C-Atomen, R3 und R4 Wasserstoff, R5 und R6 Alkyl oder Alkenyl mit 16 bis 22 C-Atomen, X Cl⊖, Br⊖ oder CH3SO4⊖, m und n 1 oder 2 und o und p Zahlen von 0 bis 5 bedeuten.
- Insbesondere bevorzugt sind solche Verbindungen der Formel 1, wobei R1 und R2 Methyl, R3 und R4 Wasserstoff, R5 und R6 C16-C22-Alkyl, X Cl⊖, m und n 1 und p und o Zahlen von 0 bis 2 bedeuten.
- Diese Verbindungen werden hergestellt, indem man zunächst eine Verbindung der Formel 2

- Diese Reaktion erfolgt in der ersten Stufe in einem inerten Lösungsmittel, wie etwa Benzol, Toluol, Xylol oder einem paraffinischen Kohlenwasserstoff oder deren Gemischen bei Temperaturen von ca. -20° C bis ca. 100° C. Zunächst wird das Dialkylamin der Formel 2 in dem Lösungsmittel vorgelegt und stark gekühlt. Dann wird der Halogencarbonsäureester der Formel 3 zugegeben und die Temperatur langsam gesteigert, wobei dann ein etwaiger Überschuss an nicht umgesetztem Dialkylamin entweicht. Um den freiwerdenden Halogenwasserstoff abzufangen, nimmt man einen entsprechenden Uberschuss des Dialkylamins und trennt das anfallende Ammoniumsalz durch Filtration ab. Aus diesem Salz kann das Dialkylamin wieder regeneriert und erneut verwendet werden. Nach Abdestillation des inerten Lösungsmittels erhält man die Dialkylaminoalkancarbonsäureester in einer Reinheit von über 95 %. Im Fall des Dimethylaminoessigsäureesters kann das Produkt auch durch Hochvakuumdestillation gereinigt werden.
- Diese Dialkylaminoalkancarbonsäureester werden dann in einem Alkohol gelöst oder vorzugsweise in Wasser dispergiert und erneut mit einem Halogenalkancarbonsäureester der Formel 3 bzw. 4 bei Temperaturen unter 100° C, vorzugsweise bei 40 - 80° C, umgesetzt. Man kann diese Reaktion aber auch völlig ohne jedes Lösungsmittel durchführen. Nach Abdestillation des Wassers oder des Lösungsmittels erhält man so die reinen Verbindungen der Formel 1. Nach einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform arbeitet man in wässriger Dispersion, wobei dann ca. 20%ige wässrige Dispersionen der Verbindungen 1 anfallen, die nach weiterer Verdünnung mit Wasser direkt als Wäscheweichspülmittel verwendet werden können.
- Eine andere Möglichkeit zur Herstellung der Verbindungen der Formel 1 besteht darin, dass man 1 Mol eines Monoalkylamins der Formel 5
- Die als Ausgangsverbindungen dienenden ω-Halogenalkancarbonsäureester der Formeln 3 und 4 können nach bekannten Methoden erhalten werden durch Umsetzung einer Säure der Formel
- Die erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen der Formel 1 eignen sich als Wäscheweichspülmittel und werden in Form wässriger Dispersionen mit einem Wirksubstanzgehalt von 1 bis 15 Gew.% meist 4 - 10 Gew.% der Verbindungen der Formel 1 im Anschluss an die Wäsche des Textilmaterials in das letzte Spülbad gegeben. Danach wird das Textilmaterial getrocknet. Diese Wäscheweichspülmittel können ausserdem noch weitere Substanzen und Hilfsmittel enthalten wie sie üblicherweise in Wäscheweichspülmitteln mitverwendet werden. Hierzu gehören z.B. kationische oder nichtionische oberflächenaktive Substanzen, Elektrolyte, Absäuerungsmittel, organische Komplexbildner, optische Aufhellungsmittel oder Lösungsvermittler sowie Farb- und Duftstoffe. Die Produkte dienen zur zusätzlichen Beeinflussung des Warengriffs oder sonstiger Eigenschaften der zu behandelnden Textilien oder zur Viskositätseinstellung, der pH-Regulierung oder zur Erhöhung der Kältestabilität der Lösungen.
- Die Verbindungen gemäss der Erfindung verleihen beliebigen Textilmaterialien, besonders solchen aus natürlicher oder regenerierter Cellulose, Wolle, Celluloseacetat, Triacetat, Polyamid, Polyacrylnitril, Polyester, Polypropylen einen angenehmen und weichen Griff. Besonders vorteilhaft ist der Einsatz als Wäschenachbehandlungsmittel für Frottee-und Leibwäsche.
- Der Vorteil dieser Verbindungen ist darin zu sehen, dass sie bei der Herstellung bereits in Form wässriger Dispersionen anfallen, die nach weiterer Verdünnung direkt verwendet werden können, während die in der Praxis üblicherweise zu diesem Zweck benutzten Dialkyldimethylammoniumsalze in ihrer bevorzugten Handelsform als konzentrierte Lösung einen brennbaren Alkohol enthalten. Diese Produkte fallen damit auf Grund des niedrigen Flammpunktes für Transport, Lagerung und Bearbeitung unter die Richtlinien für gefährliche Arbeitsstoffe. Eine solche Einschränkung entfällt für die Verbindungen der vorliegenden Erfindung.
- 410 Gewichtsteile eines Chloressigsäureesters, hergestellt aus Chloracetylchlorid und einem Ziegler-Alkohol der Kettenverteilung 60 % C20-Alkyl und 40 % C22-Alkyl werden in 500 Gewichtsteilen Toluol gelöst und bei 20° C zu einer Lösung von 220 Gewichtsteilen Dimethylamin in 250 Gewichtsteilen Toluol getropft. Man lässt 5 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur und anschliessend 3 Stunden bei 70° C nachrühren. Nach dem Abkühlen saugt man vom ausgefallenen Dimethylaminhydrochlorid ab und vertreibt das Lösungsmittel im Vakuum. Man erhält 420 Gewichtsteile eines gelblichen öls. Bei 70° C fügt man 430 Gewichtsteile eines Chloressigsäureesters hinzu, hergestellt aus Chloracetylchlorid und einem Ziegler-Alkohol der Kettenverteilung 65 % C16-Alkyl und 35 % C18-Alkyl, der zuvor mit 2 Mol Ethylenoxid umgesetzt wurde. Das Gemisch lässt man unter gutem Rühren in 3400 Gewichtsteile dest. Wasser der Temperatur 70° C einfliessen und rührt 15 Stunden bei dieser Temperatur. Nach dieser Zeit ist kein freies Amin mehr feststellbar. Der Chloridgehalt liegt bei über 95 % des erwarteten Wertes. Man erhält eine 20 %ige weisse, stabile, giessbare Dispersion. der Verbindung der Formel
- Nach dem in Beispiel 1 beschriebenen Verfahren werden 340 Gewichtsteile eines Chloressigsäureesters aus einem Ziegler-Alkohol mit 65 % C16-Alkyl und 35 % C18-Alkyl in 400 Gewichtsteilen Benzol mit 220 Gewichtsteilen Dimethylamin in 250 Gewichtsteilen Benzol umgesetzt.
- Man erhält 350 Gewichtsteile des entsprechenden Dimethylaminoessigsäureesters, der bei 150 - 170° C bei einem Druck von 0,05 mbar destilliert werden kann. Das Produkt wird unter den in Beispiel 1 angegebenen Bedingungen mit 340 Teilen des zuvor verwendeten C16/C18-Chloressigsäureesters zum quaternären Produkt umgesetzt. Man erhält eine stabile wässrige Dispersion der Verbindung der Formel
- .Analog Beispiel 2 werden 495 Gewichtsteile eines Chloressigsäureesters aus einem Alkohol mit 60 % C20-Alkyl und 40 % C22-Alkyl, dessen Alkoholkomponente zuvor mit 2 Mol Ethylenoxid umgesetzt wurde, 365 Teile Diethylamin und nochmals 495 Teile des gleichen Chloressigsäureesters umgesetzt. Als Lösungsmittel verwendet man im ersten Reaktionsschritt Toluol, im zweiten Wasser.
- Die Isolierung dieser Verbindung erfolgt wie in Beispiel 2.
- 340 Gewichtsteile eines Chloressigsäureesters, hergestellt aus einem nativen, hydrierten Talgfettalkohol der Kettenverteilung 65 % C18-Alkyl und 35 % C16-Alkyl werden analog Beispiel 1 in 700 Gewichtsteilen Toluol mit 220 Gewichtsteilen Dimethylamin in 250 Teilen Toluol umgesetzt. Als Quaternisierungskomponente dienen 385 Gewichtsteile des Chloressigsäureesters des gleichen, jedoch zuvor mit 1 Mol Ethylenoxid umgesetzten Talgfettalkohols. Man quaternisiert in soviel Wasser, dass eine 20 %ige Dispersion der Verbindung der Formel
- 680 Gewichtsteile eines Chloressigsäureesters aus einem Alkohol mit 60 % C20-Alkyl und 40 % C22-Alkyl, dessen Alkoholkomponente zuvor mit 2 Mol Ethylenoxid umgesetzt wurde, in 1250 Gewichtsteilen Toluol werden bei 20° C zu einer Lösung von 31 Gewichtsteilen Methylamin und 202 Gewichtsteilen Triethylamin in 250 Gewichtsteilen Toluol getropft. Man rührt 1 Stunde bei 20° C, anschliessend
- 7 Stunden bei 60° C nach, filtriert bei 40° C vom ausgefallenen Triethylamin-Hydrochlorid ab und vertreibt das Lösungsmittel im Vakuum. Man erhält 720 Teile des rohen Methyliminodiessigsäurediesters, der unter starkem Rühren in 3400 Gewichtsteilen Wasser von 50° C dispergiert wird. Man tropft 126 Teile Dimethylsulfat zu, wobei die Temperatur 70° C nicht überschreiten sollte. Es resultiert eine 20 %ige stabile Dispersion der quaternären Verbindung der Formel
- Die Reindarstellung dieser Verbindung erfolgt ebenfalls durch Abdestillation des Wassers.
