Definitions

  • the invention relates essentially to a bath towel. Rectangular shape with cooperating closures provided on the two lateral longitudinal edges to form a tube-like changing cloak and with an annularly closable pulling element provided on one end face to form a narrowed shoulder rest around a neck opening of the changing cloak.
  • a bath towel in which the closures of push buttons or a Velcro fastener can be formed, is already known. It serves in the spread out flat state as a bed mat and after connecting the two longitudinal edges as a changing cloak hanging from the shoulder, within which the bathing suit can be put on or changed.
  • the known bath towel does not yet meet all requirements despite this double function.
  • the known training proves to be difficult to transport and unwieldy, because other bathing accessories are usually taken along, which, like the bath towel itself, must be carried by hand or stowed in a special bathing bag.
  • the bath towel has a uniform and comparatively low thickness when spread out, so that the lying underlay is also flat and unpadded in the area of the resting head, although here a local material reinforcement or. an increase in the underlay could improve lying comfort.
  • the invention has for its object to improve the known bath towel with the least possible effort so that it is suitable for the safe transport of bathing utensils and the like in addition to the lying function and changing function, is easy to transport itself and also leads to greater lying comfort.
  • the other - not provided with the changing traction element - front side of the bath towel has a wide pocket-like hem that can be closed at least at one end by a closure, in the case of only one closure the other end of the hem is tightly closed.
  • a closable pocket extends over the entire width of the bath towel, in which objects can be stored, so that loss is not to be feared.
  • two pockets can also be formed if a closure is provided at both ends of the hemstitch and the hemstitch is divided by a middle seam.
  • this area is particularly suitable as a base for the head, especially since a more or less soft filling, for example made of textile material, can be placed in the pocket, so that the head is on the Bath towel lying person can be raised in the desired manner.
  • a hemstitch width of about 30 cm, for example corresponds to a suitable pocket size as leads to a sufficient head contact area.
  • the width of the double-layer hemstitch specifies a dimension that favors the folding of the bath towel into a package with a corresponding dimension. This alone provides an advantage in terms of folding and transportation. A significant improvement in this respect is achieved, however, if the eyelets are arranged on the longitudinal edges so that they form rows of eyelets through longitudinal folding and transverse folding of the bath towel, and at least one support element is provided in the form of a cord or a belt that can be threaded through the rows of eyelets .
  • the bath towel folded into a handy package the closed hem of which may be filled with the objects needed for bathing, can be easily and quickly fixed in the folded handy shape, the entire unit being carried like a bag with the help of the carrying organ can.
  • This provides additional security against loss or removal of objects from the hemstitch pocket.

  • the width of the bath towel 1 is dimensioned such that after connecting the snap fastener halves 6 to the snap fastener halves 7, a tube-like changing cloak is created which gives a person sufficient freedom of movement to change within the cloak.

  • a support member 20 with one snap hook 21 is hooked into each support ring 18, whereupon the support member 20 in question is threaded with the other snap hook 22 first through the support eyes of the respective support eye row and passed through the support ring 18 concerned with the bath towel package and with the snap hook 22 is hooked onto the other support ring 18.
  • the bath towel package can be folded again around a longitudinal line (not shown) and thereby reduced to a handy size, the support member then being wrapped twice around the bath towel package. In this way, the length of the cords or support members 20 between the two support rings 18 can be varied to form either a handle or a shoulder strap.
