Definitions
- the invention relates to a short-wave rotating antenna stand with a vertically arranged frame, between which a grating reflector common to all antennas and on both sides in planes parallel to it are spanned curtain antennas, the frame being rotatable about its vertical axis and feeding in in the middle.
- Such short-wave rotary antenna stands are suitable for short-wave radio stations with transmitters of high power, which have the task of providing radio coverage to all areas of the world in medium and long distances from the transmitter station with large field strengths.
- Such a rotatable short-wave antenna is already known from the Telefunken information sheet IB 778 “Rotation stand broadband flat dipole curtain antennas for short-wave transmitters”.
- the rotary stand antenna described here essentially consists of rotatable broadband dipole walls with large gain, which have radiation directions which are optimally designed for the supply.
- type HR 4/4 dipole walls are provided, which consist of four rows, each of which contains two full-wave dipoles (corresponding to four half-wave dipoles).
- Two of these broadband dipole walls for different frequency ranges are arranged on both sides of a common grating reflector.
- This antenna arrangement is suspended between two towers that stand on the ends of a horizontal bridge.
- the bridge is rotatably mounted on a rail ring.
- the dimensions of the towers and the bridge depend on the size of the dipole walls, which in turn depend on the frequency range of the antennas.
- the rail wreaths used to store the bridge are constantly blocked by snow in winter, so that maintenance of these rail wreaths is inevitable if the antenna is to be operated continuously.
- the invention has for its object to provide a short-wave rotary antenna stand, the construction of which requires a minimum of space and maintenance and which offers a maximum of structural stability and technical usability.
- the object of the invention is achieved in that a central mast, which can be rotated about an axis and is mounted exclusively centrally, is provided, which is provided with brackets at the top and bottom, between which a plurality of reflectors and antennas are stretched.
- the shortwave rotary antenna stand described above can be swiveled with a remote control in any azimuth direction with an accuracy of ⁇ 1. Since there are no mechanical end stops to limit the range of rotation, the antenna can be aligned to the new target area using the shortest route. In the worst case, a time of 3 minutes is required. A footprint of approximately 15x15 meters is required for the antenna system. The rest of the area below the antenna is freely accessible and accessible. The control and signal processing part of the electric drive is built with electronic devices. The desired azimuth direction is digitally preselected and displayed. The desired antenna can also be selected.
- the selected commands are stored electronically and executed automatically after pressing the release button, whereby the direction of rotation corresponding to the shortest path is selected by means of an electronic comparison between the actual value and the setpoint.
- the acceleration and deceleration when changing direction is also automatic.
- a switch to manual mode enables direct control of the drive motors in both directions of rotation and at two different speeds. All important operating states are displayed.
- the rotating center mast is composed of two components.
- the rotating shaft has a tower which is provided with a guide at the upper end and at a predefinable minimum height above the ground, each with a bearing arranged symmetrically to the tower axis.
- the rotary or sprockets and roller bearings of a rotary shaft are arranged on these bearings.
- the rotating gear rings or roller bearings are rigidly connected to the rotating shaft.
- the rotating shaft is placed on the tower in such a way that it surrounds it like a shell at a predeterminable distance down to the lower bearing.
- the rotating shaft has at least on two opposite sides at the upper and lower end at least two mutually vertically arranged cantilevers which are braced on the rotating shaft and with each other via steel cables.
- locking devices for locking the rotary shaft in the are provided positions.
- the rotating shaft is driven by means of two electric motors which are synchronous in their speed and which output their power via a pinion to at least one rotating gear ring rigidly connected to the rotating shaft.
- the electric motors are advantageously installed on the head of the fixed steel lattice tower within a cabin.
- the mesh reflectors are stretched between the upper and lower brackets. On both sides of it, in planes parallel to it, antenna radiators of different types and frequency ranges can be spanned on the crossbeams of the brackets.
- the short-wave rotating antenna stand shown in FIG. 1 is essentially composed of a central mast 2, which is composed of a fixed tower 3 and a rotating shaft 4 designed as a lattice construction, and cantilevers.
- the tower 3 forming the axis of the two-part central mast 2 is shown in detail. It is a lattice construction in the traditional sense.
- the entire tower 3 stands on three or more corner posts 6, the lower part of which is anchored in the ground.
- the tower 3 is provided with a first bearing with a guide 7a.
- a second bearing with a guide 7b is provided at the upper end of the tower 3.
- This rotary shaft 4 shows the movable part of the center mast 2, the so-called rotating shaft 4.
- This rotary shaft 4 is also designed as a lattice construction.
- a rotating ring or toothed ring or a roller bearing 8a, 8b is arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal axis of the rotating shaft 4 and rigidly connected to the rotating shaft 4.
- a turntable is advantageously arranged in the lower region of the rotary shaft and a roller bearing in the upper region.
- the arms 5 are arranged on the outside on the rotating shaft 4 on two opposite sides. These are two cantilevers 5 on both sides, which are arranged vertically one below the other at a predeterminable distance.
- the brackets are preferably also designed as steel lattice structures.
- two cantilevers are each attached to the lower end of the rotary shaft 4, while the other two are arranged somewhat below the tip of the rotary shaft 4.
- the arms 5 are fastened to the rotary shaft 4 in such a way that they run parallel to one another and to the ground.
- the upper arms are connected to the tip of the rotary shaft 4 by means of several steel cables 13a.
- the two cantilevers 5, which are arranged vertically one below the other on one side of the rotating shaft 4, are also clamped to one another via at least two steel cables 13.
- the distance between the cantilevers arranged vertically one below the other and the height of the rotary shaft 4 depend on the size of the network reflectors spanned between the cantilevers and the antenna radiator 10.
- the length of the cantilevers also depends on their size.
- the rotating shaft 4 shown in FIG. 4 is placed with the rotating ring or toothed ring 8a and with the rotating ring or roller bearing 8b, with which it is rigidly connected, on the bearings 7a and 7b of the tower 3 serving as an axis, each provided with a guide.
- the inner shaft of the rotating shaft 4 is formed in the area between the rotating ring 8a and the rotating ring or roller bearing 8b in such a way that it surrounds the tower at a distance like a shell, so that it can be rotated around it.
- the drive mechanism for the rotary shaft 4 is located in a cabin 12 at the upper end of the tower 3.
- the rotary ring 8a is driven by two electric motors which are synchronized in terms of their speed and which are accommodated in the cabin 12.
- Each of the electric motors delivers its power to the slewing ring 8a via a pinion (not shown here).
- a pinion (not shown here).
- electro-hydraulically operated locking devices (not shown here) are provided, which are in the toothing of the ring gear 8a or 8b , or are inserted into the roller bearing 8b and thus mechanically fix the rotating system.
- a reflector is spanned between the arms 5 for each antenna radiator 10. To hold them, a rope is stretched at least between the free ends, in each case two brackets 5 arranged vertically one below the other. It makes sense to stretch other ropes vertically between the cantilevers mentioned above to carry the reflectors 9.
- brackets 5 To mount the antenna radiators 10, all brackets 5 are provided with traverses 18, which are directed outwards on both sides.
- the antenna radiators 10 are each stretched in a plane parallel to their reflectors between the crossbeams 18 of the brackets 5 on each side.
- the antenna radiators 10 are carried by ropes or glass fiber reinforced plastic rods, which are attached to the trusses.
- brackets 5 are chosen such that curtain antennas of different types and frequency ranges up to the size of a type are selected as desired tenne HR 4/4 / 0.5 for 6/7/9/11 MHz can be installed.
- the type designation HR 4/4 / 0.5 means that the dipole wall in question consists of four horizontal rows, each with two full-wave dipoles (corresponding to four half-wave dipoles).
- the letter «R» indicates the grid reflector.
- the standard version of this short-wave rotary antenna is equipped with an antenna HR 4/4 / 0.5 for 6/7/9/11 MHz and with an antenna HR 4/4/1 for 15/17/21/16 MHz.
- the short-wave rotary antenna according to the invention has a symmetrical 300 ohm input 15, which is guided at a height of 3.60 m above the ground into the center of the fixed tower 3. From there, a vertical symmetrical feed line 16 leads to the contacts of an antenna selector switch (not shown) in the cabin 12 at the upper end of the steel lattice tower 3.

Description
- Fig. 1 den Kurzwellen-Drehantennen-Stand mit Netz-Reflektoren und Antennenstrahlern,
- Fig. 2 den zweiteiligen Mittelmast mit Auslegern,
- Fig. 3 den als Achse dienenden Turm,
- Fig. 5 einen Querschnitt durch den Kurzwellen-Drehantennen-Stand nach Linie A - A in Fig. 1.
