Abstract

La presente invención se refiere al aislamiento y caracterización de cuatro importantes proteínas derivadas del Virus del Síndrome de Mancha Blanca (WSSV) con un tamaño estimado de 28 kDa (VP28), 26 kDa (VP26), 24 kDa (VP24) y 19 kDa (VP19) y su uso en la elaboración de una vacuna para proteger a los crustáceos contra infecciones de WSSV. La invención además proporciona secuencias nucleotidas, las que codifican a estas proteínas y su uso en la producción recombinante de las mismas. Adicionalmente, la invención proporciona anticuerpos creados contra dichas proteínas, su uso en la vacunación pasiva y equipos de diagnóstico que contienen ácidos nucleicos y anticuerpos.
