Abstract
Una tableta no efervescente de ibuprofeno, que consta de un núcleo y, si se desea, de una cubierta de azúcar o pelicular, en la que el núcleo de la tableta contiene del 50 al 100 % en peso de ibuprofeno sódico hidratado y del 50 al 0 % en peso de componente auxiliar, porcentajes referidos al peso del núcleo, y no contiene lubricante ni "explosivo" alguno, y en la que el ibuprofeno sódico hidratado lleva un contenido en agua del 8 al 16 % en peso, con preferencia del 11 al 16 % en peso, dicha tableta posee una dureza suficiente, es relativamente pequeña y conduce a un aumento especialmente rápido del nivel en sangre y, por tanto, a un efecto analgésico de iniciación acelerada. En contra de la opinión dominante en la técnica anterior, el ibuprofeno sódico hidratado que tenga un contenido en agua idóneo es apropiado en grado suficiente para el prensado.
