Abstract

Данное изобретение обеспечивает способы улучшения урожайности растений, особенно в условиях ограничения азота. Согласно данному изобретению обнаружено, что модулирование активности АСС-синтазы в растениях улучшает урожайность растений даже при выращивании в условиях низкого содержания азота. Эти растения, наряду с тем, что демонстрируют улучшенную урожайность по сравнению с немодифицированными растениями, не проявляют вредных эффектов при условиях нормального содержания азота. Данное изобретение, кроме того, обеспечивает способы применения рекомбинантных кассет экспрессии, клеток-хозяев и трансгенных растений.
