Abstract
Изобретение обеспечивает способ улучшения выносливости к недостатку азота у растений. Способ включает ингибирование синтеза этилена в растении путем устойчивой трансформации растения гетерологическим полинуклеотидом, что снижает экспрессию ACC-синтазы при экспрессии указанного гетерологического полинуклеотида, и выращивание указанного растения в условиях ограничения азота, с помощью чего экспрессируется указанный гетерологический полинуклеотид, и указанное растение демонстрирует улучшенную устойчивость к недостатку азота по сравнению с контрольным растением. Указанный гетерологический полинуклеотид включает нуклеиновую кислоту, кодирующую транскрипт, который способен образовывать двухцепочечную РНК и опосредовать РНК-интерференцию нуклеиновой кислоты ACC-синтазы. Указанная нуклеиновая кислота включает первую нуклеотидную последовательность, которая включает как минимум 21 смежный нуклеотид нуклеиновой кислоты ACC-синтазы, и вторую нуклеотидную последовательность, включая комплементарную последовательность указанной первой нуклеотидной последовательности, где первый и второй нуклеотиды отделены нитроном.
