Abstract
Даний винахід забезпечує спосіб поліпшення витривалості до нестачі азоту у рослин. Спосіб включає інгібування синтезу етилену в рослині шляхом стійкого трансформування рослини гетерологічним полінуклеотидом, що знижує експресію ACC-синтази при експресії зазначеного гетерологічного полінуклеотиду, та вирощування зазначеної рослини в умовах обмеження азоту, за допомогою чого експресується зазначений гетерологічний полінуклеотид, і зазначена рослина демонструє поліпшену витривалість до нестачі азоту в порівнянні з контрольною рослиною. Зазначений гетерологічний полінуклеотид включає нуклеїнову кислоту, що кодує транскрипт, який здатний утворювати дволанцюгову РНК і опосередковувати РНК-інтерференцію нуклеїнової кислоти ACC-синтази. Зазначена нуклеїнова кислота включає першу нуклеотидну послідовність, яка включає щонайменше 21 суміжний нуклеотид нуклеїнової кислоти ACC-синтази і другу нуклеотидну послідовність, що включає комплементарну послідовність зазначеної першої нуклеотидної послідовності, де перший і другий нуклеотиди відокремлені нітроном.
