Abstract

"POTENCIAL DE STAYGREEN CONTROLADO EM PLANTAS POR GENE SIMPLES OBTIDO POR ENGENHARIA GENéTICA". As enzimas da família da ACC sintase são usadas para produzir etileno. São providas seqüências de nucleotídeos e de polipeptídeo das ACC sintases juntamente com células de planta knockout que inibem a expressão e/ou atividade em uma ACC sintase e plantas knockout que apresentam um fenótipo de staygreen, um fenótipo de esterilidade masculina, ou uma inibição na produção de etileno. São também providos os métodos para modular o potencial de staygreen em plantas, métodos para modular a esterilidade masculina em plantas, e métodos para inibir a produção de etileno em plantas.
