495U6 beschriebenen Verfahrens.Process for the production of vat dyes of the benzanthrone series
Addendum to Patent 495 116 The invention aims to improve that in the patent
495U6 described procedure.
The main patent included the production of new vat dyes
the benzanthrone series for black and gray dyeings of excellent authenticity
described by doing that by melting benzanthrone sulfonic acids with alkalis
available product with hydroxylamine or its salts in the presence or absence
condensed by ferrous sulfate.
It has been found that new vat dyes have similar properties
can be obtained by alkali melting in the same way
products obtained from sulfonated homologues and derivatives of benzanthrone with
Hydroxylamine or its salts in the presence or absence of Fexro: sulfate condenses.
dann allmählich z Gewichtsteil salzsaures Hydroxylamin zugesetzt.

mit alkalischem Hydrosulfit eine grauviolette Küpe und färbt Baumwolle grau.B. zanthronstilfonic acids, obtained by the synthesis of A.nthraquinone sulfonic acids
and glycerine can also be obtained by alkali melting in vat dyes
are converted, which in a similar way new vat dyes by condensation
give with hydroxylamine. Example r Condensation of the alkaline melt product
of sulfonated chlorobenzanthrone with hydroxylamine z part by weight of the alkaline
Melt product of sulfonated chlorobenzanthrone is stirred for half an hour
Dissolved at zoo ° C in 2o parts by weight of concentrated sulfuric acid of 66 ° B6.
The solution is cooled, 1.2 parts by weight of ferrous sulfa crystals are added and
then gradually z part by weight of hydrochloric acid hydroxylamine was added. The mixture will
heated to 165 to 17o ° C and maintained at this temperature for 2 hours.
After cooling down, the reaction mixture is poured into zoo parts by weight of water
and the whole thing boiled and filtered hot. The residual dye cake will
washed acid-free with water and dried. The dye thus obtained gives a
blue vat with alkaline hydrosulphite and dyes cotton with a gray-blue shade.
Examples
Condensation of the alkaline melt product of su; lfo: -niert-em Methylbenzanthronmt
Hydroxylam.in 2 parts by weight of the alkaline melt product of sulfonated
Methydbenzanthron are stirred for half an hour at roo ° C, in q.01 parts by weight
dissolved concentrated sulfuric acid. The solution is cooled, 2.4 parts by weight
Ferrous sulfate crystals are added and then z part by weight of hydrochloric acid hydroxylamine gradually
added. The mixture is heated to 165 to 701 ° and at this temperature
2 hours received. After cooling, the: reaction mixture - in 40o parts by weight
Poured in water and boiled the whole thing and filtered hot. The residual dye cake
is washed acid-free with water and dried. The dye thus obtained gives
with alkaline hydrosulfite a gray-violet vat and dyes cotton gray.
