Verfahren zur Herstellung von Küpenfarbstoffen. Es wurde gefunden, daß die in dem Patent 457 121 beschriebenen alkalilöslichen Kondensationsprodukte aus BenzobenzanthroncarbDnsäure, ihren Derivaten und Substitutionsprodukten durch Einwirkung von sauren Kondensationsmitteln, wie Schwefelsäure, Chlorzink, Essigsäureanhydrid und ähnlichen, in höher kondensierte, alkaliunlöslich.e Küpenfarbstoffe übergeführt werden, die im Gegensatz zu den Ausgangsstoffen eine sehr starke Affinität zur Baumwolle haben und dieselbe in sehr echten blauen Tönen anfärben.Process for the production of vat dyes.
