Description
KAISERLICHES
PATENTAMT.
Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet ein Docht für Lampen, welche mit OeI,
Petroleum oder anderen geeigneten Kohlenwasserstoffen gespeist werden.
Der Docht besteht aus einem entsprechend geformten Körper aus vegetabilischer Substanz,
welcher im geschlossenen Gefäfs oder durch Pressen zwischen rothglühenden Eisenplatten
carbonisirt worden ist. Man kann diese Dochte dadurch consistent machen, dafs man sie vor
der Carbonisation einige Zeit in concentrirte Säure, am zweckmäfsigsten Schwefelsäure, eintaucht.
Als Material zur Herstellung der neuen Dochte dient Papier, Holz, Baumwollgespinnst,
Gewebe, überhaupt pflanzliche Textilstoffe, oder man benutzt direct die üblichen Baumwolldochte.
Die neuen Dochte erleiden keinen Abbrand und brauchen demzufolge in der Lampe nicht
verstellt zu werden, so dafs man sie unmittelbar in deren Oelbehälter befestigen kann, wodurch
die Construction der Lampen selbst sehr vereinfacht wird.

- Patent-Anspruch:Ein Lampendocht für OeI- und Petroleumlampen, welcher durch Carbonisiren eines aus pflanzlicher Substanz (Papier, Holz, Gespinnst, Gewebe oder dergleichen) gebildeten Körpers hergestellt ist.
