Description
Die Erfindung betrifft Zusammensetzungen zur Behandlung von Schwer
metalle enthaltendem, industriellem Abwasser, insbesondere betrifft sie
Zusammensetzungen zur Behandlung von Abwasser aus industriellen An
lagen, bei denen Verfahren der Metallbeschichtung, Farbenherstellung,
Lederbehandlung, des Färbens, der Herstellung von Arzneimitteln oder
der Herstellung von Schmierölen angewandt werden. Die Zusammenset
zungen umfassen Natrolith, Montmorillonit, Calciumhydroxid, Aluminiumsulfat
und eine Katalysatorkomponente.
Das Ausströmen bzw. Ablaufen von unbehandeltem Abwasser, welches
Schwermetalle enthält, kann eine Kontamination des Bodens oder von
Flüssen verursachen. Weiterhin kann ein derart unbehandeltes Abwasser
ernsthafte Krankheiten verursachen, wie etwa die durch Quecksilberver
giftung verursachte Minamata-Krankheit, da es über die Nahrungsmittel
kette in den menschlichen Körper eingebracht und dort angesammelt
wird.
Abwasser, welches verschiedene Schwermetalle enthält, fällt allgemein in
Industrieanlagen an, bei denen Verfahren der Metallbeschichtung, Far
benherstellung, Lederbehandlung, des Färbens, der Herstellung von Arz
neimitteln oder der Herstellung von Schmierölen verwendet werden. Dem
nach besteht ein starker Bedarf nach wirksamen Verfahren zur Behand
lung von Abwasser, welches verschiedene Schwermetalle enthält, im Hin
blick auf den Umweltschutz und die öffentliche Hygiene.
Es sind verschiedene Verfahren zur Behandlung von Schwermetall enthal
tendem Abwasser vorgeschlagen und angewandt worden, wie etwa ein
Neutralisationsverfahren unter Einsatz von Alkali, ein Koagulations- und
Ausfällungsverfahren, Ionenaustauschverfahren, oder ein Verfahren der
Bildung von Chelatverbindungen.
Diese herkömmlichen Verfahren sind hinsichtlich ihrer Behandlungsef
fekte begrenzt und unwirtschaftlich. Zur Behandlung von Abwasser, wel
ches verschiedene Arten von Schwermetallen enthält, sind die herkömmli
chen Verfahren zur Anwendung kombiniert worden.
Die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung besteht in der Bereitstellung von
Zusammensetzungen zur Behandlung von Abwasser, welches verschiede
ne Arten von Schwermetallen enthält, wobei die oben beschriebenen Nach
teile überwunden werden sollen.
Diese Aufgabe wird durch eine Zusammensetzung gemäß Anspruch 1 ge
löst. Bevorzugte Ausgestaltungen der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammenset
zung sind in den Unteransprüchen angegeben.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzungen umfassen Natrolith, Mont
morillonit, Calciumhydroxid, Aluminiumsulfat und eine Katalysatorkom
ponente bzw. ein Katalysatormittel. Die Komponenten der erfindungsgemäßen
Zusammensetzungen können durch die nachfolgenden chemi
schen Formeln widergegeben werden:

Gegenstand der Erfindung sind somit Zusammensetzungen zur Behand
lung von Schwermetalle enthaltende Abwasser, umfassend:
30-40 Gew.-% Natrolith
20-30 Gew.-% Montmorillonit
20-30 Gew.-% Calciumhydroxid
1,5-3,5 Gew.-% Aluminiumsulfat
10,0-15,0 Gew.-% Katalysatorkomponente.
30-40 Gew.-% Natrolith

20-30 Gew.-% Calciumhydroxid
1,5-3,5 Gew.-% Aluminiumsulfat

Vorzugsweise umfaßt die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung:

12,5 Gew.-% Katalysatorkomponente.

25 Gew.-% Montmorillonit
25 Gew.-% Calciumhydroxid
2,5 Gew.-% Aluminiumsulfat
12,5 Gew.-% Katalysatorkomponente.
Vorzugsweise ist Natrolith die Hauptkomponente der erfindungsgemäßen
Zusammensetzungen.
Die Katalysatorkomponente ist vorzugsweise Magnesiumoxid.
Die Hauptkomponente der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzungen,
nämlich Natrolith, ist unerschöpflich in Gabbro, Basaltgesteinen, etc.
enthalten. Natrolith ist ein basisches, Feuchtigkeit enthaltendes Silicat in
Form eines säulenförmigen Radialaggregats.
Natrolith, wie Zeolith-Mineralien, enthält etwa 74% SiO2, etwa 1,4%
Fe2O3, etwa 0,12% CaO, etwa 4,4% MgO, etwa 1,8% K2O und etwa 1,2%
Na2O. Ein Natrolith mit folgenden Charakteristika ist eine geeignete Kom
ponente von Zusammensetzungen zur Behandlung von Schwermetall ent
haltendem Abwasser:
Erstens, die Kristallstruktur von Natrolith besitzt die Eigenschaft, daß sie
bei einer hohen Temperatur von etwa 700°C und darunter nicht zerstört
wird, selbst wenn die im Kristallgitter des Natrolithmoleküls enthaltene
Feuchtigkeit entweicht. Es bilden sich feine Poren von 0,3-1,0 nm (3-10Å)
Durchmesser an der Stelle, an welcher die Feuchtigkeit entweicht. Die fei
nen Poren besitzen die Eigenschaft, daß sie andere Schwermetallatome
oder -ionen in wäßriger Lösung adsorbieren.
Zweitens, die Kristallstruktur des Natroliths ist ein tetraedrisches Silicat
mit eingeschlossenen Sauerstoffatomen. Das zentrierte Silicat bzw. Silici
um kann teilweise durch Aluminium substituiert sein. Um positive Ladun
gen zu kompensieren, werden andere positive Ladungen in einer Lösung,
welche positive Ladungen enthält, ersetzt. Mittels diesem Ionenaus
tauschvermögen von Natrolith werden Schwermetalle substituiert, adsor
biert oder ausgefällt.
Drittens, der Natrolith mit feinen Poren von 0,3-1,0 nm Durchmesser dient
als ein Filter. Das heißt, Natrolith wirkt als Molekularsieb, welches wahl
weise feine Flüssigmoleküle von 0,3-1,0 nm oder in Lösung enthaltene an
organische Materialien adsorbiert oder filtriert.
Mittels den oben beschriebenen Eigenschaften von Natrolith werden Sub
stitution, Adsorption, Koagulation und Ausfällung von Schwermetallen in
Abwasser durchgeführt.
Eine andere Komponente der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung,
nämlich Montmorillonit, gehört zu einer SiO2-Al2O3 enthaltenden Grup
pe von Mineralien, welche etwa 59% SiO2, etwa 14% Al2O3 und etwa 3,5%
Na2O enthält. Montmorillonit ist weitverbreitet in Feldspat oder Tonmineralien
vorhanden. Die Adsorption und das Ionenaustauschvermögen auf
grund der Porosität von SiO2-Al2O3, ermöglicht es, daß Montmorillonit,
wenn er mit Natrolith verwendet wird, zusammen mit dem Natrolith eine
Komplementärwirkung eingeht.
Montmorillonit ist in Wasser nicht löslich, er absorbiert jedoch die Feuch
tigkeit in einer Lösung und dehnt sich auf das acht- bis zwölffache seiner
ursprünglichen Teilchengröße aus. Diese Eigenschaft verbessert das
Schwermetall-Adsorptionsvermögen des Montmorillonits in der Lösung.
Eine weitere Komponente der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung,
Calciumhydroxid [Ca(OH)2], reagiert mit CO oder CO2 In Lösung unter Bil
dung von CaCO3, wodurch eine Desodorierung und Chromatizitätsverringerung
bewirkt wird.
Weiterhin neutralisiert das Calciumhydroxid saures Abwasser, welches in
nachteiliger Weise Landwirtschaftsflächen oder andere industrielle Ein
richtungen beeinträchtigt. Wenn das Calciumhydroxid mit einem Koagu
lationsmittel verwendet wird, bildet es eine Schwermetall-Chelatverbin
dung und verbessert dadurch das Schwermetallbehandlungsvermögen
der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung.
Eine weitere Verbindung, nämlich Aluminiumsulfat, wird der erfindungs
gemäßen Zusammensetzung zugegeben, um als Koagulationsmittel zu
dienen. Die Katalysatorkomponente wird der erfindungsgemäßen Zusam
mensetzung zugegeben, um die Adsorption, Ausfällung und Koagulation
der Schwermetalle zu beschleunigen. Die Katalysatorkomponente übt zu
sammen mit den anderen Komponenten der erfindungsgemäßen Zusam
mensetzung eine Komplementärwirkung aus und maximiert den Schwer
metallbehandlungseffekt.
Die Zusammensetzung, welche die oben beschriebenen Komponenten um
faßt, zeigt eine ausgezeichnete Wirkung bei der Behandlung von Abwas
ser, welches Cu, Ni, Zn, Fe, Pb, Cr6+ und Cyanid enthält und zeigt eine be
trächtliche Wirkung hinsichtlich der Verringerung von Geruch und des
chemischen Sauerstoffbedarfs.
Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung wird nachfolgend unter Bezug
nahme auf Herstellungs- und Ausführungsbeispiele näher erläutert.
Es wurde eine im Gabbro und Basaltgesteinen vorkommende Natrolithver
bindung ausgewählt und zu einer geeigneten Größe pulverisiert und dann
mittels Schwerkraftkonzentrierung getrennt, um 74% SiO2, 16% Al2O3,
1,4% Fe2O3, 0,12% CaO, 4,4%MgO, 1,8% K2O und 1,2% Na2O zu erhal
ten. Danach wurden die abgetrennten Verbindungen getrocknet und auf
eine Größe von 0,149 bis 0,074 mm (100 bis 200 Mesh) pulverisiert. In
gleicher Weise wurde eine Montmorillonitverbindung erhalten und durch
Lüften getrocknet und dann auf eine Größe von 0,149 bis 0,074 mm (100
bis 200 Mesh) pulverisiert. Die Pulverisierung und Abtrennung wurden
auf dem Aufbereitungsgelände der Wolyoo-Minenstation in Yong-dong,
Choongbook, Republik Korea, durchgeführt.
Das erhaltene Natrolithpulver und Montmorillonitpulver wurden mit han
delsüblichen Calciumhydroxid, Aluminiumsulfat und MgO In den nach
stehend angegebenen Mengen vermischt, um eine erfindungsgemäße Zu
sammensetzung zu erhalten:
35 Gew.-% Natrolith
25 Gew.-% Montmorillonit
25 Gew.-% Calciumhydroxid
2,5 Gew.-% Aluminiumsulfat
12,5 Gew.-% MgO.
25 Gew.-% Montmorillonit
25 Gew.-% Calciumhydroxid
2,5 Gew.-% Aluminiumsulfat
12,5 Gew.-% MgO.
Eine Probe aus 500 ml unbehandeltem Abwasser wurde mittels einem
Magnetrührer während etwa 5 Minuten gerührt, um die Schwermetallbestandteile
in dem Abwasser zu aktivieren. Das gerührte Abwasser wurde
unter Verwendung von Säure oder Alkali auf einen pH von 7 reguliert, da
mit dieses den gleichen pH wie Industriewasser hat. 1 g der im obigen Herstellungsbeispiel
hergestellten Zusammensetzung wurde dem Abwasser
zugegeben.
Nach etwa 15 Minuten begann die Koagulation. Nach 20 Minuten waren die
Schwermetalle ausgefällt und von der flüssigen Phase abgetrennt. 5 Minu
ten nach der vollständigen Ausfällung wurden Schwermetalle enthaltende
Schlämme komprimiert und koaguliert und dann verworfen. Die Menge
der Schwermetalle in der abgetrennten Flüssigkeit wurde gemessen. Für
die Messung wurde eine WAK-COD-Colorimetrie beim Physics and Chemi
stry Public Laboratory in Japan durchgeführt. Die pH-Messung wurde
mittels einem Gesamtbereichs-Prüfpapier (pH 0,0-14,0), hergestellt von
Dongyang Yoji Co., Ltd. Japan, durchgeführt.
Der oben beschriebene Versuch wurde 30 mal unter Verwendung von Ab
wasser aus Metallbeschichtungsanlagen, 28 mal unter Verwendung von
Abwasser aus Farbherstellungsanlagen, 25 mal mit Abwasser aus Leder
herstellungsanlagen und 40 mal mit Abwasser aus anderen Anlagen
durchgeführt. Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in der folgenden Tabelle ge
zeigt.

Wie aus der Tabelle ersichtlich ist, zeigt die erfindungsgemäße Zusam
mensetzung eine ausgezeichnete Wirkung bei der Eliminierung von
Schwermetallen in Abwasser und bei der Verringerung des COD (chemi
scher Sauerstoffbedarf).
Claims (4)
1. Zusammensetzung zur Behandlung von Schwermetalle enthalten
dem Abwasser, umfassend:
30-40 Gew.-% Natrolith
20-30 Gew.-% Montmorillonit
20-30 Gew.-% Calciumhydroxid
1,5-3,5 Gew.-% Aluminiumsulfat
10,0-15,0 Gew.-% Katalysatorkomponente.
20-30 Gew.-% Montmorillonit
20-30 Gew.-% Calciumhydroxid
1,5-3,5 Gew.-% Aluminiumsulfat
10,0-15,0 Gew.-% Katalysatorkomponente.
2. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, umfassend 35 Gew.-% Natro
lith, 25 Gew.-% Montmorillonit, 25 Gew.-% Calciumoxid, 2,5 Gew.-% Aluminiumsulfat
und 12,5 Gew.-% Katalysatorkomponente.
3. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei Natrolith die
Hauptkomponente ist.
4. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei die Ka
talysatorkomponente Magnesiumoxid ist.
