Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer aus Flachsfasern gebildeten Isoliermatte (P 42 11 732.1).
Als Stand der Technik sind die Deutsche Auslegeschrift 16 35 612 zu nennen, in der unter Verdichtung in einer geschlosse­ nen und unter Druck gehaltenen Zone pulverförmiges Feuer­ schutzmittel auf Polstermaterial verteilt wird, um anschlie­ ßend durch Wärme verflüssigt zu werden, was jedoch eine bei einer Isoliermatte zu kompakte Lage bildet.
Weiter ist in der GB 1 248 515 die Verwendung von Wasser­ dampf vorgeschlagen, womit mattenartige Aglumerate aus Fa­ serstoffen mit einem Kunstharz versehen werden, der bei der Verarbeitung feuergefährlich ist, so daß die Verwendung hei­ ßer Gase zu vermeiden ist. Das Kunstharz in den Aglumeraten wird weder verteilt noch homogenisiert.
Die Berücksichtigung thermischer Eigenschaften ist der Bri­ tischen Patentschrift fremd.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Zusatzanmeldung ist die Schaffung eines Verfahrens, bei dem das Brandschutzmittel so gleich­ förmig über die Flachsfasern verteilt ist, daß ein hoher Brandschutzwert erreicht wird.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe gelöst durch Bilden eines Flachsfaservlieses in einem Vliesbildner, Zugeben eines wasserlöslichen Gemisches aus ei­ nem Brandschutzmittel, einem pulverförmigen Kleber und einem Stabilisator vor oder während der Vliesbildung, Beaufschla­ gen des Vlieses mit Wasserdampf und Trocknen des Vlie­ ses.
Das Brandschutzmittel kann ein Borsalz sein, als Kleb­ stoff hat sich insbesondere Stärke als vorteilhaft er­ wiesen. Dem pulverförmigen Gemisch kann Wasserglas zuge­ setzt sein.
Ein bevorzugtes Ausführungsbeispiel zeichnet sich da­ durch aus, daß das pulverförmige Gemisch - bezogen auf das Gewicht des Vlieses - 9-15% Stärke, 3-5% Was­ serglas und 8-12% Borsalz aufweist.
Bei der Zugabe eines Gemisches aus dem Brandschutzmittel und dem Kleber zu dem Vlies - vorzugsweise der während in einem Ganzvliesbildner erfolgenden Vliesbildung selbst - kann dieses sehr homogen über die Flachsfasern verteilt werden. Bei einer Beaufschlagung mit Wasser­ dampf - vorzugsweise heißem Wasserdampf - werden die wasserlöslichen Bestandteile des pulverförmigen Gemi­ sches gelöst, wodurch die Flachsfasern gleichförmig und im wesentlichen vollständig mit einem Film, der aus dem Klebstoff und dem Brandschutzmittel besteht, beschichtet werden. Der Klebstoff gibt dem Vlies weiter die anwen­ dungsgerechte Festigkeit.
Durch die Verwendung des Borsalzes werden überraschend hohe Brandschutzwerte erreichbar sind. Das Borsalz ist weiter verrottungshemmend.

Claims (5)

1. Verfahren zum Herstellen einer aus Flachsfasern gebildeten Isoliermatte (P 42 11 732.1), unter Zugabe eines pulverförmigen Brandschutzmittels, eines Klebers und eines die einzelnen Phasen festigenden Stabilisa­ tors, gekennzeichnet durch
  • - Bilden eines Flachsfaservlieses in einem Vlies­ bildner,
  • - Zugeben eines wasserlöslichen Gemisches aus einem Brandschutzmittel, einem pulverförmigen Kleber und einem Stabilisator vor oder während der Vliesbil­ dung,
  • - Beaufschlagen des Vlieses mit Wasserdampf zur ho­ mogenen Verteilung des Gemisches, Lösung wasser­ löslicher Bestandteile des Gemisches und gleich­ förmigen Beschichtung der Flachsfasern mit einem Film, der diesen die anwendungsgerechte Festigkeit verleiht, und
  • - Trocknen des Vlieses zur Fixierung des Klebers.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Stabilisator Wasserglas ist.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekenn­ zeichnet, daß der Klebstoff Stärke ist.
4. Verfahren nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß daß das Brandschutzmittel Borsalz ist.
5. Verfahren nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Gemisch pulverförmig ist und - bezogen auf das Gewicht des Vlieses - aus:
9-15% Stärke,
3-5% Wasserglas und
8-12% Borsalz besteht.
