Abstract
The heat exchanger has a main tube bundle (5) which is arranged in the direction of the flow of the working steam, and the subsidiary tube bundle (6) which is arranged in the same direction, but mounted below the main tube bundle (5). The individual tubes (7, 8) of the two bundles proceed from a steam chamber (3) and open again into the same; the inlets of the tubes have, however, a dedicated inlet space (10) in the steam chamber (3), and the outlets of the tubes of each bundle have a dedicated outlet space (11). These spaces are mutually subdivided by horizontal walls (12), with the result that only the inlet (9) of the heating steam opens into the inlet space (10) of the tubes of the main tube bundle, whereas the steam is led from the outlet space (11) of the tubes of the main tube bundle (5) into the inlet chamber of the tubes of the subsidiary bundle (6), and the condensate emerges from the outlet chamber of the subsidiary tube bundle (6). The heat exchange surface of the main tube bundle is markedly larger than the heat exchange surface of the subsidiary tube bundle. The heat exchanger is applied in steam turbines, in particular in steam reheaters/interheaters having horizontally arranged tube bundles. <IMAGE>
