Description
Verwendung von Hydroxyphenylurefchanen zum Stabilisieren
von Elastomeren
Es ist aus dor US Patentschrift 3,297,726 bekannt,
Hydtoxyphenyluretbane des Stearylalkoholes als
Stabilisatoren für natürliche oder synthetische Kautschuke
einzusetzen. Weiterhin ist aus der japanischen Patentpublikation 20456/69 bekannt, Hydroxyphenylurethanc
niederer Alkohole, wie AßUhylalkohol als Stabilisatoren für Polyolefine oder Polyurethane au
verwenden. Es wurde nun Überraschend gefunden, dass Verbindungen der Formel 1

Propylen-Isobutylen-Copolymere, Styrol-Butadion-Copolymere,
sowie Terpolymero von Aef.hylen und Propylon mit einem Dien,
wie z.B. llcxadien, Dicyclopentadien oder Aethylidennorborncn;
sowie durch Kautsehukphnsen schlagfost modifizierte Styrolpolymore,

a) Herstollonft der
100 Teile Polybutadien ("Solpreno 201" der Fa. Phillips),
vrelches mit 0,75% 2,6-DiLcrt.butyl-p-oresiol und 0,5% Trisnonylphcnylphoaphif
vorstabilisiert ist, werden zusMtalich
mit je 0,125 Teilen der in der Tabelle 2 angegebenen Stabilisatoron
in einem Brabender-Plastographen bei 15O0C und 60 U/Hin, wahrend 10 Minuten homogenisiert.. Die derart: stabilisierten Mischungen v/ei-den in einer Plattenpresse bei
12O0C wHhrend 5 Minuten au 0,625 mm dicken Platten gepresst.
Die als Vergleich dienende, nicht stabilisierte Kautschukplatte wird auf gleiche Weise hergestellt.
b) Prüfung
Als Kriterium für die Schutzwirkung der eingearbeiteten
Stabilisatoren &ilt der nach Lagerung in Luft bei crhUhtcn
Temperaturen festgestellte Gelgchnlt. Dazu werden die oben
erhaltenen Prüfmuster auf Aluminiumunterlage in einem Umluftofen
bei 1000C gehalten Mid periodisch (ca. alle 10
Stunden) auf ihren Gelgchalt untersucht, welcher wie folgt
bestimmt wird:
Etwa 1 g der Proben werden in Stücke von ca. 3x3x1 mm verschnitten und üher Nacht bei Raumtemperatur in 100 ml
η-Hexan gelbst. Diese Lösungen werden durch Glaswolle filtriert,
dia durch die Glaswolle zurückgehaltenen Cclteilchen
mit 3x20 ml n-Hexon nachgewaschen, die filtrierten
LUsungen zur Trockne eingedampft und auf konstantes Gewicht
getrocknet. Don Gelgehalt einer Probe erhlilt man dann nach
folgender Berechnung:

Als Endpunkt wird die Zeit definiert, nach welcher ein plötzlicher Anstieg des Gelgehaltcs auf über 157» nach
einer für das untersuchte Additiv charakteristischen Induktionsperiode
auftritt, (Tabelle 2).

Beispiel 2 zeigt die Überraschend bessere Wirksamkeit der erfindungsgemiiss verwendeten Stabilisatoren gegenüber den
aus der japanischen Patentpublikation 20456/69 (Stabilisator 2) und aus US 3,297,726 (Stabilisator 3) als Stand
der Technik bekannten Stabilisatoren.
