gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in der Formel I
Ri ein Wasserstoffatom, eine Methylgruppe, eine Allylgruppe, eine Benzylgruppe oder eine aliphatische
Acylgruppe mit 2 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen und/oder
R2 ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine Methylgruppe und/oder
R3 ein Wasserstoffatom, eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen oder die Gruppe
worin Ri' ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine Methylgruppe
bedeutet, darstellt.
3. Stabilisierte synthetische polymere Materialien gemäß den Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß sie die Piperidinderivate der Formel 1 in Mengen von 0,01 bis 5,0 Gewichtsprozent,
bezogen auf das Gewicht des synthetischen Polymermaterials, enthalten.
Gegenstand der Erfindung sind gegen Photo- und thermische Abbaureaktionen stabilisierte synthetische
polymere Materialien gemäß den Patentansprüchen.
Es wurde gefunden, daß die Piperidinderivate der Formel I auf synthetische Polymermaterialien einen
stabilisierenden Effekt ausüben und daß sie insbesondere dazu geeignet sind, Photo- und thermische Abbaureaktionen
zu verhindern.
Die hierin verwendete Bezeichnung »polymere Materialien« soll folgende Produkte umfassen:
Polyolefine mit Einschluß von Polyäthylen niedriger und hoher Dichte, Polypropylen, Polystyrol,
Polybutadien^ Polyisopren, Homopolyniere anderer Olefine, Äthylen/Propylen-Copolymere, Äthy-Ien/Buten-Copolymere, Äthylee/Vinylacetat-Copolymere, Styrol/Butadien-Copolymere, Acryinitril/Styrol/Butadien-Copolymere, und weitere Copolymere von anderen äthylenbildenden ungesättigten Monomeren mit Olefinen;
Polyvinylchlorid und Polyvinylidenchlorid mit Einschluß von Homopolymeren von Vinylchlorid,
Homopolymeren von Vinylidenchlorid, Copolymeren von Vinylchlorid mit Vinylidenchlorid, Copolymeren von Vinylchlorid und Vinylidenchlorid mit
Vinylacetat oder einem anderen äthylenbildenden ungesättigten Monomeren;
Polyacetale, z. B. Polyoxymethylen und Polyoxyäthylen;
Polyester, z. B. Polyäthylenterephthalat;
Polyamide, z. B. Nylon-6, Nylon-6,6 ur.d Nylon-6,10;
und
Diese synthetischen polymeren Materialien werden aufgrund ihrer ausgezeichneten Eigenschaften in weitem Ausmaß in Form von verschiedenen Gestalten, z. B.
als Fasern, Filme, Platten, andere Formprodukte, Latices und Schaumstoffe, verwendet.
Die für Ri in der obengenannten Formel I angegebene Alkylgruppe hat 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatome und ist
z.B. eine Methyl-, Äthyl-, Propyl-, Butyl- oder Octylgruppe. Die substituierte Alkylgruppe hat 1 bis 3
Kohlenstoffatome im Alkylteil und ist beispielsweise eine Hydroxyalkylgruppe, z. B. eine 2-Hydroxyäthylgruppe, eine Alkoxyalkylgruppe mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen im Alkoxyteil, z. B. eine 2-Äthoxyäthyl- oder
Äthoxymethylgruppe, eine Acyloxyalkylgruppe mit 2 bis 18 aliphatischen Kohlenstoffatomen oder 7 bis 11
aromatischen Kohlenstoffatomen im Acylteil, z. B. eine 2-Acetoxyäthyl-, 2-Stearoyloxyäthyl-, 2-Benzoyloxyäthyl- oder 2-Acryloyloxyäthylgruppe, eine Epoxyalkylgruppe, z. Kohlenstoffatome und ist beispielsweise eine Allylgruppe. Die Alkinylgruppe hat 3 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatome und
ist beispielsweise eine 2-Propynylg:rappe. Die Aralkylgruppe hat 7 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatome und ist
beispielsweise eine Benzylgruppe. Die aliphatische Acylgruppe hat 2 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatome und ist

Gemäß der Erfindung können die Piperidinderivate I, die als Stabilisatoren verwendet werden, nach den
verschiedenen bekannten Methoden ohne weiteres in synthetische polymere Materialien eingearbeitet werden.
Der Stabilisator kann zu einem synthetischen Polymermaterial in jeder Herstellungsstufe des Formprodukts
daraus zugesetzt werden. So kann z. B. der Stabilisator in Form eines trockenen Pulvers mit dem
synthetischen Polymerenmaterial vermischt werden. Man kann aber auch so vorgehen, daß man eine
Suspension oder Emulsion des Stabilisators zumischt.
Die Menge des Piperidinderivats I, die erfindungsgemäß
einem synthetischen Polymerenmaterial zugesetzt wird, variiert entsprechend der Art und des Anwendungszweckes
des synthetischen Polymerenmaterials. Im allgemeinen können Mengen von 0,01 bis 5,0
Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Gewicht des synthetischen Polymerenmaterials, verwendet werden. Der praktische
Bereich kann entsprechend den synthetischen Polymeren variiert werden und kann für Polyolefine 0,01 bis 2,0
Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,02 bis 1,0 Gew.-%, für Polyvinylchlorid und Polyvinylidenchlorid 0,01 bis 1,0
Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,02 bis 0,5 Gew.-%, und für Polyurethane und Polyamide 0,01 bis 5,0 Gew.-%,
vorzugsweise 0,02 bis 2,0 Gew.-Vo, betragen.
Die erfindungsgemäß verwendeten Stabilisatoren können entweder für sich oder im Gemisch mit anderen
bekannten Antioxidantien, UV-Absorbentien, Füllstoffen,
Pigmenten und dergleichen verwendet werden. Beispiele von solchen Additiven werden untenstehend

Ca-Stearat, Mg-Laurat, Na-Ricinoleat, K-Palmitat und Zn-Stearat
PVC-Stabilisatoren, wie organische Zinnverbindungen,
organische Bleiverbindungen und Ba/Cd-Salze von Fettsäuren.
Keimbildner, wie 4-tert-Butylbenzoesäure, Adipinsäure
und Diphenylessigsäure.
Weitere Additive, wie Weichmacher, Schmiermittel, z. B. Glycerin, Monostearat, Emulgatoren, Antistatika,
flammwidrige Mittel, Pigmente, Ruß, Asbest, Glasfasern,
Kaolin und Talk.
Auch weitere Additive, wie die obengenannten, können gewöhnlich mit den Piperidinderivaten I gemäß
der Erfindung vermischt werden. Sie werden vorteilhafterweise im Verhältnis von 0,5 bis 3 :1 verwendet
Die Beispiele 1 bis 8 beschreiben synthetische Polymermassen, die die erfindungsgemäßen Piperidinderivate
I enthalten, sowie die stabilisierenden Wirkungen dieser Verbindungen. Das Herstellungsbeispiel
beschreibt die Herstellung der Piperidinderivate.
Herstellungsbeispiel
Methy!-j9-(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4-piperidyloxy)crotonat:
Zu 6,2 g 4- Hydroxy- 1,2,2,6,6-pentamethy !piperidin
wurden 4,26 g Methyltetrolat und 150 ml Xylol gegeben.
Zu dieser Lösung wurden unter Eiskiihlung 3 ml einer methanolischen Lösung von Natriummethylat (0,39 g)
zugefügt. Die Lösung wurde am Rückfluß 8 Std. lang erhitzt. Nach dem Abkühlen wurden 200 ml Wasser
zugegeben, und es erfolgte eine Phasenabscheidung. Die wäßrige Schicht wurde mit Äther extrahiert. Die
Ätherlösung wurde mit der abgetrennten Xylolschicht vereinigt, mit Wasser gewaschen, getrocknet und unter
vermindertem Druck destilliert, wodurch das angestrebte Produkt als farblose Flüssigkeit mit einem Siedepunkt
von 120 bis 122°C/0,l mm Hg erhalten wurde.
Analyse für Ci5H27NO3:
Berechnet: C 66,88%, H 10,10%, N 5,20%;
gefunden: C 66,59%, H 10,36%, N 5,00%.

Herstellungsbeispiel erhalten wurden:

In 100 Teile Polypropylen (Warenzeichen Noblen JHH-G von Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals Ine, nach
zweimaliger Umkristallisierung aus Monochlorbenzol) wurden 0,25 Teile des erfindungsgemäßen Stabilisators
eingearbeitet Das resultierende Gemisch wurde vermengt und geschmolzen. Das geschmolzene Gemisch
wurde unter Erhitzen und unter Druck zu einer Platte mit einer Dicke von 0,5 mm verformt
Die Platte wyrde in einem Fademeter bei 45° C einer Ultraviolettstrahlung ausgesetzt Es wurde der Zeitpunkt
bestimmt, bei welchem die Platte spröde wurde.
Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle I zusammengestellt Die angegebenen Zahlen beziehen sich auf die zuvor
angegebenen Nummern der Verbindungen.
In 100 Teile Polyäthylen hoher Dichte (HI-Zex von Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals Inc., nach zweimaliger
Umkristallisation aus Toluol) wurden 0,25 Teile des erfindungsgemäßen Stabilisators eingearbeitet. Das
resultierende Gemisch wurde vermengt und geschmolzen. Es wurde unter Erhitzen und unter Druck zu einer
Platte mit einer Dicke von 0,5 mm verformt.
Die Platte wurde in einem Fademeter bei 450C einer
UV-Strahlung ausgesetzt. Es wurde der Zeitpunkt gemessen, bei welchem die Platte spröde wurde.
Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle I zusammengestellt.

In 100 Teile eines ABS-Harzes (Warenzeichen Kane Ace B-12 von Kanagafuchi Chemical Industries Co.,
Ltd.) wurden 0,5 Teile des erfindungsgemäßen Stabilisators eingearbeitet. Das resultierende Gemisch wurde
auf einer Knetwabe 6 min bei 1600C geknetet, sodann
zu einer Platte mit einer Dicke von etwa 0,5 mm verformt.
Die Platte wurde 50 st lang in einer Sonnenschein-Bewitterungsvorrichtung
behandelt und auf die Retention der Reißdehnung in % der Ausgangsdehnung sowie die
Reißfestigkeit in % der Ausgangsfestigkeit nach den herkömmlichen Methoden untersucht
Auch der Verfärbungsgrad wurde bestimmt. Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle III zusammengestellt:

In 100 Teile Polystyrol (Warenzeichen Styron von Asahi-Dow Limited, nach zweimaliger Umkristallisation
aus einem Gemisch von Benzol mit Methanol) wurden 0,25 Teile des erfindungsgemäßen Stabilisators
eingearbeitet. Das resultierende Gemisch wurde bei 1800C unter Druck zu einer Platte mit einer Dicke von
1 mm verformt.
Die auf diese Weise gebildete Platte wurde in einem Fademeter bei 450C 500 st lang einer UV-Strahlung
ausgesetzt Ein Probekörper der behandelten Platte wurde nach der JIS-Norm K-7103 unter Verwendung
eines Farbunterschieds-Colorimeters auf den Farbunterschied untersucht Die Veränderung des Gelbgrads
der Platte wurde nach folgender Gleichung bestimmt:

den Gelbindex nach dem Belichten und Yk den Anfangsgelbindex des Probekörpers.
Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle II zusammengestellt:

In 100 Teile Nylon-6 (Warenzeichen CMlOIl von
Toray Industries Ina) wurden 0,25 Teile des erfindungsgemäßen Stabilisators eingearbeitet Das resultierende
Gemisch wurde erhitzt und aufgeschmolzen. Sodann wurde es unter Druck und unter Verwendung einer
herkömmlichen Spritzgußmaschine zu einem Film mit einer Dicke von etwa 0,1 mm verformt
Der erhaltene Film wurde bei den folgenden Alterungsbedingungen gealtert und sodann einer
Reißfestigkeitsuntersuchung unterworfen, um die Reißdehnung und Reißfestigkeit in % der Ausgangsdehnung
bzw. in % der Ausgangsfestigkeit festzustellen.
Alterungsbedjngungen:
1. 200stündiges Aussetzen der Ultraviolettstrahlung
in einem Fademeter bei 450C,
2^ 2stündiges Altern bei 1600C in einem Geer-Alterungstester.
2^ 2stündiges Altern bei 1600C in einem Geer-Alterungstester.
Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle IV zusammengestellt:

In 100 Teile eines aus Polycaprolacton hergestellten Polyurethanharzes (Warenzeichen E-5080 von The
Nippon Elastollan Industries Ltd.) wurden 0,5 Teile des erfindungsgemäßen Stabilisators eingearbeitet Das
resultierende Gemisch wurde erhitzt und geschmolzen. Sodann wurde es zu einer Platte mit einer Dicke von
etwa 0,5 mm verformt
Die erhaltene Platte wurde in einem Fademeter 15 st
lang bei 45"C der Ultraviolettstrahlung ausgesetzt und sodann auf die Reißdehnung und Reißfestigkeit in % der
Ausgangsdehnung bzw. in % der Ausgangsfestigkeit untersucht.
Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle V zusammengestellt:

In 100 Teile Polyester (Warenzeichen Ester-G13 von Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals Inc.) wurden 1 Teil Benzoylperoxid
und 0,2 Teile Stabilisator eingearbeitet. Das resultierende Gemisch wurde durch 30minütiges Vorerhitzen
auf 600C gehärtet und sodann bei 1000C eine
weitere Stunde erhitzt, um zu einer Platte mit einer Dicke von 3 mm verformt zu werden.
Die auf diese Weise gebildete Platte wurde 60 st in der Sonnenschein-Bewitterungsvorrichtung einer Bestrahlung
ausgesetzt Wie im Beispiel 3 wurde die Änderung des Gelbindex bestimmt. Die erhaltener
Ergebnisse sind in der Tabelle Vl I zusammengestellt:
In 100 Teile Polyvinylchlorid (Warenzeichen Geon 103EP von The Nippon Zeon Co. Ltd.) wurden 3 Teile
Butylzinnmaleat, 0,5 Teile Butylstearat und 0,25 Teile
des erfindungsgemäßen Stabilisators eingearbeitet. Das resultierende Gemisch wurde 5 min auf einer Knetwalze
bei 18O0C geknetet und zu einer Platte mit einer Dicke
von 0,5 mm verformt. Die Platte wurde in einer Sonnenschein-Bewitterungsvorrichtung 300 st lang behandelt,
worauf die Verfärbung beobachtet wurde.
