3. Funktionelle Flüssigkeit gemäß Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als Basismaterial
einen Phosphorsäureester der nachfolgenden allgemeinen Formel

4. Funktionelle Flüssigkeit gemäß Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als Basismaterial
einen Phosphorsäureester der genannten allgemeinen Formel enthält, worin die Reste R9 und Rio Cibis Cie-Alkylreste sind und der Rest R» ein C6- bis
Cie-Arylrest ist.
5. Funktionelle Flüssigkeit gemäß Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daB sie als Phosphorsäureester Dibutylphenylphosphat oder ein Gemisch
von Tributylphosphat und Triarylphosphat enthält.
6. Funktionelle Flüssigkeit gemäß Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als Epoxidverbindung Cr bis CirAlkyl-3,4-epoxycyclohexan enthält.
7. Funktionelle Flüssigkeit, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie eine Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 3 und
als Viskositätsindexverbesserer 2 bis 20 Gew.-% eines Polymerisats eines Esters der allgemeinen
Formel

enthält, worin jeder der Reste R5 und R6, unabhängig
von dem anderen, ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine Cibis etwa Cio-Alkylgruppe und R7 eine Cr bis etwa

8. Funktionelle Flüssigkeit, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie eine Zubereitung gemäß Anspruch 3 und
als Viskositätsindexverbesserer 2 bis 2o Gew.-% eines Polymerisats eines Alkylenoxids mit einem
polymeren Molekulargewicht von etwa 1500 bis 4500 enthält
9. Verwendung einer funktioneilen Flüssigkeit gemäß Anspruch 1 als hydraulische Flüssigkeit in
einer hydraulischen Druckvorrichtung.
10. Verwendung einer funktionellen Flüssigkeit gemäß Anspruch 4 als hydraulische Flüssigkeit in
einer hydraulischen Druckvorrichtung.
Die Erfindung betrifft funktioneile Flüssigkeiten und die Verwendung dieser Flüssigkeiten als hydraulische
Flüssigkeiten.
Funktionelle Flüssigkeiten werden für verschiedene Zwecke verwendet, wie beispielsweise als elektronische
Kühlmittel, Flüssigkeiten für Diffusionspumpen, Schmiermittel, Dämpfungsflüssigkeiten, Basismaterialien für Fette, Kraftübertragungs- und hydraulische
Flüssigkeiten, Wärmeübertragungsflüssigkeiten, Flüssigkeiten für Wärmepumpen, Flüssigkeiten für Kühlvorrichtungen und als Filtermedien für Klimaanlagen. Von
allen diesen Verwendungen müssen hydraulische Flüssigkeiten, die für hydraulische Systeme in Flugzeugen für das Arbeiten verschiedener Mechanismen und
für Flugzeugkontrollsysteme vorgesehen sind, den härtesten funktionellen und Gebrauchsforderungen
entsprechen. Eine der bedeutendsten Forderungen hinsichtlich einer in Flugzeugen zur Verwendung
kommenden hydraulischen Flüssigkeit ist, daß die Flüssigkeit chemisch stabil ist, um dem oxidativen und
thermischen Abbau zu widerstehen, der die Bitdung von
Säuren und die Korrosion der Metalle, die mit der hydraulischen Flüssigkeit in Kontakt kommen, zur
Folge haben kann.
Um den Grad der Säurebildung während der Verwendung der Flüssigkeit zu kontrollieren und die
Korrosion der Komponenten in einem hydraulischen System zu inhibieren, ist es üblich, bestimmte Säurefänger und/oder Korrosionsinhibitoren dem Basismaterial
der hydraulischen Flüssigkeit zuzugeben.
Es ist bekannt, Säureakzeptoren, die als Protonenakzeptoren wirken und die Bildung korrosiver Säuren in
den Flüssigkeiten vermeiden, wenn diese bei längerer Verwendung bei hohen Temperaturen dem Abbau
unterliegen, als Korrosionsinhibitoren zu verwenden. Eine besonders bevorzugte Klasse derartiger Materia-
lien umfaßt Epoxidverbindungen, z, B. ungesättigte
Glyzeride, einschließlich epoxidiertes Sojabohnenöl, Rizinusöl, Leinöl und epoxidierte Fette. Es sind auch
Epoxyester, wie Butylepoxyacetoxystearat Glyzerintriepoxyacetoxystearat,
Isooctylepoxystearat epoxi- ϊ dienes Isooctylphthalat und verschiedene Alkyl- und
Arylalkylepoxide, wie Epoxydekan, Epoxyhexadekan, Epoxyoctadekan, Cyclododekan und Glyzerin und
verschiedene Glyzidyläther, wie Phenylglyzidyläther, Giyzidylcyclohexyläther und Alkylglyzidyläther geeignet
Aus der DE-OS 19 06 293 ist die Verwendung von S^-Epoxycycloalkyl-S^-epoxycycloalkylcarboxylaten,
insbesondere S^-EpoxycycIohexylmethyl-S^-epoxycyclohexancarboxylat
als Säureakzeptor für hydraulische H Flüssigkeiten bekannt
Obgleich die S^-EpoxycycIoalkyl-S^-epoxycycloalkylcarboxylate
für die üblichen hydraulischen Flüssigkeiten wirksame Säurefänger sind, haben sie den
Nachteil, daß sie Jarzige Ablagerungen an der Welle der Flüssigkeitspumpe bilden. Die Bildung von Ablagerungen
tritt insbesondere bei hydraulischen Systemen in Flugzeugen auf, die unter Druck arbeiten, wobei die
Ablagerungen dann zu einem Entweichen der hydraulischen Flüssigkeit an der Dichtung führen.
Die DE-OS 22 62 185 betrifft funktioneile Flüssigkeiten, die als Hydraulikflüssigkeiten einsetzbar sind und
die einen Monoepoxidzusatz enthalten. Diese Hydraulikflüssigkeiten sind denen der DE-OS 19 06 293 zwar
hinsichtlich der Leckverluste an den Dichtungen der Jo
hydraulischen Systeme überlegen, aber noch nicht chemisch inert genug, um den extremen Sicherheitsbestimmungen
z. B. dsr Flugzeugindustrie zu entsprechen.
Die den Hydraulikflüssigkeiten zugesetzten bekannten Monoepoxide enthalten neben dem . ,poxidsauerstoff J>
noch mindestens eine weitere sauerstoffhaltige Gruppe im Epoxidmolekül, die zur unerwünschten Säuregruppe
oxidierbar ist.
Der Erfindung lag daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine funktioneile Flüssigkeit zur Verfügung zu stellen, in der ■">
die Säurebildung vermieden wird, die gegenüber thermischem und oxidativem Abbau resistent ist, zur
Verwendung in hydraulischen Systemen in Flugzeugen geeignet ist und wobei Leckagen an den Dichtungen des
hydraulischen Systems vermieden werden. *i
Die Aufgabe wird gelöst durch eine funktioneile Flüssigkeit, die
(A) mindestens 50 Gew.-% Ester und Amide einer Säure von Phosphor, Di- oder Tricarbonsäureester
und/oder Ester von Verbindungen mit mehreren Hydroxylgruppen als Basismaterial,
(B) 0,1 bis 15 Gew.-% einer Epoxidverbindung der allgemeinen Formel

worin jeder der Reste R1, R2, R3 und Rt, unabhängig
von dem anderen, ein Alkylrest mit I bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen oder ein Wasserstoffatom ist,
mit der Maßgabe, daß wenigstens ein Rest eine Alkylgruppe ist,
(C) und gegebenenfalls einen Viskositätsindexverbesserer
enthält
Die erfindungsgemäßen hydraulischen Flüssigkeiten sind gegen thermischen und oxidativen Abbau resistent,
neigen nicht zur Säurebildung, korrodieren die Me.alle von hydraulischen Systemen von Flugzeugen nicht und
veranlassen nur äußerst geringe Leckagen an den Dichtungen der hydraulischen Systeme, was mit einer
erheblichen Verbesserung der Flugsicherheit verbunden ist Die erfindungsgemäßen funktioneilen Flüssigkeiten
werden insbesondere als hydraulische Flüssigkeiten in hydraulischen Druckvorrichtungen verwendet
In der Epoxidverbindung der allgemeinen Formel sind die Reste Ri, R2, R3 und R4 unabhängig von den
anderen, vorzugsweise Alkylreste mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Η-Atome. Bevorzugte Verbindungen
sind Ci- bis Cu-S/J-epoxycyclohexane, insbesondere
Cr bis C4-3,4-epoxycyclohexane, vorzugsweise Methyl-S^-epoxycydohexan.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Flüssigkeiten enthalten insbesondere 0,1 bis 5,0 Gew.-% der Epoxidverbindung der
allgemeinen Formel.
Die Flüssigkeiten der irfindungsgemäßen funktionel-Ien
Flüssigkeit können in jeder bekannten Weise gemischt werden, wozu man ein Additiv in das
Basismaterial einbringt wie beispielsweise durch Zugabe der Epoxidverbindung zu dem Basismaterial unter
Rühren, bis eine einheitliche Flüssigkeitszubereitung erhalten ist.
Zu geeigneten Epoxidmaterialien gehören z. B.:

Zu besonders bevorzugten Epoxidmaterialien gehören Verbindungen, worin die Reste Rj und R4
Wasserstoff sind und jeder der Reste Ri und R2,
unabhängig von dem anderen, eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 9 Kohlenstoffatomen oder ein Wasserstoffatom ist,
vorausgesetzt, daß wenigstens der Rest Ri oder R2 eine
Alkylgruppe ist. Zu Beispielen gehören:

Diese Verbindungen können nach dem Fachmann bekannten Verfahren zur Herstellung von Epoxyverbindungen
hergestellt werden, beispielsweise nach Verfahren, wie sie in der US-Patentschrift 31 87 018 beschrieben
sind, auf die hier Bezug genommen wird.
Cycloheycn oder alkylsubstituiertes Cyclohexan kann m
zur Herstellung der Epoxycyclohexane dieser Erfindung verwendet werden. Beispielsweise wird alkylsubsiituiertes
Cyclohexen mit Wasserstoffperoxid epoxidiert Die in den erfindungsgemäßen funktionellen Flüssigkeiten
verwendeten Basismaterialien sind z.B. in der US-PS i>
37 23 320 beschrieben.
Kohlenwasserstoffphosphate werden bevorzugt Zu Phosphorester-Basismaterialien gehören Trialkylphosphate,
Triaryl- und/oder Alkyl-substituierte Arylphosphate
und gemischte Aryl- und/oder substituierte Arylalkylphosphate. Im Hinblick auf die Alkylgruppen
wird es bevorzugt, daß diese etwa 2 bis 18, insbesondere
etwa 2 bis 12 Kohlenstoff atome aufweisen und daß die Aryl- und substituierten Arylgruppen vorzugsweise
etwa 6 bis 16, insbesondere etwa 6 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatome aufweisen.
Typische Beispiele für bevorzugte Phosphate sind Dibutylphenyl-, Triphenyl-, Tricresyl-, Tributyl-, Tri-2-äthylhexyl-,
Trioctyl-phosphat, die Phosphate, die in der US-PS 37 23 315 beschrieben sind, wie Li-(nonylphe- jo
nyl)-phenylphosphat, Di-(cumylphenyl)-phenylphosphat und/oder (Cumylphenyl)-(nonylphenyl)-phenylphosphat,
Gemische von Tributylphosphat und Tricre^ylphosphat,
Gemische von Triphenylphosphat und 2-Äthylhexyldiphenylphosphat,
Gemische von Cumylphenyldiphenylphosphat, Nonylphenyldiphenylphospha t,
2-Äthylhexyldiphenylphosphat und Triphenylphosphat. Ein bevorzugtes Gemisch enthält 45 bis 65% Triphenylphosphat,
25 bis 45% Reaktionsprodukt von 1,5 bis 2 Mol Nonylphenol, 0,5 bis 1 Mol Cumylphenol, 6 bis 7
Mol Phenol mit 3 Mol Phosphoroxychlorid und 5 bis 15% 2-Äthylhexyldiphenylphosphat. Alle Prozentsätze
sind Gewichtsprozentsätze und beziehen sich auf das Gesamtgewicht des Gemisches.
Außer diesen Basismaterialien kann die funktionell Flüssigkeit bis zu 50% ein oder mehrere andere
Basismaterialie.i enthalten. Beispiele solcher anderer
Basismaterialien sind in der US-Patentschrift 37 23 320 beschrieben. Obgleich es nicht erlaubt ist, diese anderen
Basismaterialien in größeren Mengen in den funktionellen Flüssigkeiten v.er vorliegenden Erfindung zu
verwenden, können sie einzeln oder zusammen als geringere Komponente des Gesamtbasismaterials in
geringeren Mengen als etwa 50 Gew.-% vorhanden sein. 5j
Neben den Basismaterialien und der Monoepoxycyclohexylverbindung können die Flüssigkeiten der
vorliegenden Erfindung ein oder mehrere Basismaterial-Modifizierungsmittel enthalten. Unter dem Begriff
»Basismaterial-Modifizierungsmittel« ist ein Material &o
zu verstehen, das, wenn es dem Basismaterial zugegeben wird, eine bestimmbare Änderung der chemische-, oder
physikalischen Eigenschaften des Basismateria.s bewirkt. Zu Beispielen typischer Modifizierungsmittel, die
weitgehend zur Formulierung von hydraulischen und anderen funktionellen Flüssigkeiten verwendet werden,
gehören Stockpunkterniedriger, Antioxidationsmittel, Antischaummittel. Viskositätsindexverbesserer wie Polyalkylacrylate,
Polyalkylmethacrylate, polycycHsche Polymerisate, Polyurethane, Polyalkylenoxide und Polyester,
Schmiermittel und Wasser,
Die bevorzugten polymeren Viskositätsindexverbesserer, die in den Zubereitungen dieser Erfindung
verwendet werden können, sind Polymerisate von Alkylestern von ungesättigten Monocarbonsäuren der

Poly(dodecylacrylate) und

worin der Ester ein Gemisch von Verbindungen ist, die man durch Veresterung der α-0-ungesättigten Monocarbonsäure
mit einem Gemisch von Monoalkoholen mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen erhält. Diese und andere
»Basismaterial-Modifizierungsmittel« sind in der US-Patentschrift 37 23 320 beschrieben.
Nach einer Ausführungsform der Erfindung enthält die funktionell Flüssigkeit als Viskositätsindexverbesserer
2 bis 20 Gew.-% eines Polymerisats eines Alkylenoxide mit einem polymeren Molekulargewicht
von 1500 bis 4500.
In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsfonii enthält die
erfindungsgemäße funktionell Flüssigkeit ab Basismaterial Phosphatester oder Gemische von Phosphatestern
der nachfolgenden allgemeinen Formel

Außer dem Phosphatester und der Fpoxyverbindung können diese bevorzugten Flüssigkeiten weiterhin
bestimmte Additive, wie vorausgehend definiert, und weiterhin gering. 3 Mengen, z. B. weniger als etwa 50
Gew.-% eines oder mehrere andere Basismaterialien, wie vorausgehend definiert, enthalten.
Besonders bevorzugte funktionelle Flüssigkeiten
enthalten wenigstens etwa 65 Gew.-% Phosphatester und weniger als etwa 35 Gew.-% andere Materialien
einschließlich anderer Basismaterialien und Basismaierial-Modifizierungsmittel,
und sie enthalten vorzugsweise sogar wenigstens etwa 80 Gew.-°/o Phosphatester und
weniger als etwa 20 Gew.-°/o andere Materialien. Besonders bevorzugte Phosphatester, die in den
Zubereitungen dieser Erfindung Verwendung finden, sind Dialkylarylphosphate, worin die Alkylreste I bis 18
Kohlenstoffatome haben, z. B. Dibutylphenylphosphat und Gemische von Trialkylphosphat und Triarylphosphnt.
wie ein 88/12-Gemisch von Tributylphosphai/Tricresylphosphat.
Die F.rfindiing wird durch die nachfolgenden Beispiele
erläutert. Alle Teile und Prozentsätze beziehen sich
auf das Gewicht, es sei denn, daß dies anders angegeben
ist.

In ein geeignetes Reaktionsgefäß gibt man

4-Methylcyclohexen 50 g
(Molgewicht 96.17)
Äther 125 g
Zu diesem Gemisch gibt man langsam tropfenweise 116 g Metachlorperbenzoesäure in 400 ml Methyläther.
Das Reaktionsgefäß hält man auf einem F.isbad. um die
Reaktionstemperatur bei 20 bis 26'C während der Zugabe, die etwa 45 Minuten dauert, zu halten. l);ts
Reaktionsgemisch wäscht und trocknet man. Die Ausbeute an Produkt beträgt 47.J g. dabei w.2"'m
gewünschtes Cyclohexan. Versuchsergebnisse sind in der folgenden Tabelle angegeben.

Bei dem vorausgehenden Versuch wurde die Stiiniütät
der Flüssigkeit gegenüber oxidativen Verfall und Säurebildiing dadurch bestimm;, daß man Proben der
Flüssigkeit bei 135" C zur Feststellung der Säurebildung
periodisch titriert. Die titrierfähige Säurezahl (TAN) von 0.50 wurde als feststellbare Größe bestimmt und die
Anzahl der Stunden, die erforderlich war. daß die Flüssigkeit diesen Säuregehalt aufweist, wurde als
Säurebildungszahl festgehalten. Die Korrosionsgeschwindigkeiten wurden bestimmt und als Metallverlust
in mg/cm- angegeben.
Die Werte hinsichtlich des Leckens der Wellendichtung
wurden dadurch bestimmt, daß man die Flüssigkeit in einer geschlossenen Schlinge durch eine Flugzeug-Hydraulikpumpe
des Typs APL-10V-7B laufen ließ, die mit 3600 UpM und einer Flüssigkeitstemperatur von
107 X und einem Druck von 3.1 kg/cm- betrieben
wurde. Der Rotor der Wellendichtung war aus rostfreiem Stahl. Typ 440. während der Stator aus
gesinterter Bronze bestand. Die um die Welle der Pumpe austretende Flüssigkeit wurde gesammelt und
gewogen und die Werte geben gesammelte Gramm Flüssigkeit/Stunde Versuch an. Die vorbestinimte
Versuchsdauer betrug minimal 200 Stunden, es sei denn. daß ein bedeutendes Lecken eine vorzeitige Beendigung
erforderlich machte.
Die obigen Untersuchungen, insbesondere hinsichtlich
der Säurebildung (Säurezahl (TAN) - 0.50 nach >200 Std.) und der Leckage an der Wellendichtung (I
Tropfen nach 200.4 Std.) zeigen, daß die erfindungsgemäßen funktioneilen Flüssigkeiten den hydraulischen
Flüssigkeiten der DE-OS 22 62 185 technisch überlegen
sind.
Claims (1)
1. Funktionell Flüssigkeit, enthaltend
(A) mindestens 50 Gew.-% Ester und Amide einer Säure von Phosphor, Di- oder Tricarbonsäureester und/oder Ester von Verbindungen mit
mehreren Hydroxylgruppen als Basismaterial,
(B) 0,1 bis 15 Gew.-% einer Epoxidverbindung der allgemeinen Formel
