Verfahren zur Herstellung von Organo-H-fellanen
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Organo-H-silanen der allgemeinen Formel IUSiH, das
dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß Disilane der allgemeinen Formel R,Si-SiR-,, worin R Alkyl- oder Alkoxyreste mit jeweils
1-6 C-Atomen, Phenyl-, 3,3,3-Trifluorpropyl-, Trimethylsiloxyreste,
Halogen- oder Wasserstoffatome· bedeutet,
in Gegenwart von mindestens 1 %, bezogen auf das Gewicht
der Disilane,eines Übergangsmetallkatalyöators mit Wasserstoffgas
unter Druck auf Temperaturen im Bereich von 25° bis 2500C erhitzt und anschließend die so erhaltenen Organo-H-silane
isoliert werden.
Beispiele für Alkylreste R sind Methyl-, Äthyl-, Propyl-, Isopropyl-, Butyl-, tert.Butyl-, Amyi- und Hexylreste, für
Alkoxyreste Methoxy-, Athoxy-, Propoxy-, Butoxy- und Hexoxyreste,
und fur Halogenatome Chlor-, Brom- oder Jcdatome.
Beispiele für Ubergangsmetalikatalysatoren sind auf Tierkohle aufgebrachtes Palladium, Ruthenium und Rhodium. Diese
Katalysatoren sind bekannt und v/erden üblicherweise im Handel in Pulver- oder Perlform mit einem Metallgehalt von z.B.
5 % oder mehr Palladium auf einem Kohleträger angeboten. Kohleträger, die etwa 5 - 15 % Metall enthalten, sind aus

wirtschaftlichen Erwägungen für die Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen
Verfahrens bevorzugt.
Unter der Bezeichnung Ubergangsmetallkatalysatoren sind jedoch auch nichthandelsübliche Verbindungen, wie verschiedene
Organophosphinkomplexe der Ubergangsmetalle z.B. I(Organo),-PJ2PdCl2,
L(Organo),PJ2PtCl2 und L(Organo),PJ2NiCl2, worin
die organischen Reste Phenyl- oder Alkylreste mit 1-6 C-Atomen der oben angegebenen Art bedeuten, zu verstehen,
die durch Zugabe des Organophosphine, z.B. Tributylphosphin, zu einer wässrigen oder alkoholischen Lösung eines Ubergangsmetallsalzes,
z.B. K2PdCl^,hergestellt werden.
t Die Auswahl des jeweils wirksamsten Übergangsmetall-ä
katalysators ist von der spezifischen Struktur des Disilans abhängig. Für Disilane, die nur Alkylreste, wie Methylpeste
enthalten, ist es daher vorteilhaft, die genannten handelsüblichen Katalysatoren, wie Palladium auf Tierkohle, zu verwenden,
während für Disilane, die Halogenatome, wie Chloratome enthalten, die erwähnten Organophosphinkomplexe, z.B.
L(n-C^Hg),PJ2PdCl2 , besonders geeignet sind.
Die Disilane sind gleichfalls bekannt und leicht zugänglich. Sie können durch" übliche Verfahren, z.B. durch Alkoxylierung,
durch metallorganische Synthesen nach Grignard oder durch Reduktion von Alkylchlordisilanen hergestellt werden.
) Wenn die Disilane z.B. sowohl Alkylreste als auch Halogenatome enthalten, können diese aus Isomerengemischen von Dimethyltetrachlordisilanen,
Trimethyltrichlordisilanen, Tetramethyldichlordisilanen
und Pentamethylchlordisilan bestehen, die aus den hochsiedenden Rückständen gewonnen werden, die bei
der Umsetzung von Methylchlorid mit Silicium in der Hitze und I in Gegenwart von Kupferkatalysatoren anfallen. Diese Ge-

mische können gegebenenfalls in ihre Einzelkomponenten aufgetrennt
oder per se bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzt werden.
Die Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens muß
definitionsgemäß unterdruck vorgenommen werden, wobei der
2 · 2 Druck von 3,5 kg/cm bis zu 210 kg/cm oder darüber variiert
werden kann. Ohne den erforderlichen Druck tritt keine Reaktion ein oder sie verläuft unwirtschaftlich langsam.
Die Auswahl der Druckbedingungen ist ebenfalls abhängig von der spezifischen Struktur der Disilane. So erfordern
beispielsweise halogensubstituierte Disilane höhere Drücke,
z.B. etwa 70,3 kg/cm oder mehr, alkylsubstituierte Οίο
silane hingegen niedrigere Drücke, wie 35 kg/cm .
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren kann bei Raumtemperatur oder 25°C,
zur Beschleunigung der Umsetzung vorzugsweise jedoch bei mäßig erhöhter Temperatur von etwa 100° - 1500C durchgeführt werden.
Bei Temperaturen oberhalb von 2500C neigen die Katalysatoren
und/oder die Disilane zur Zersetzung, was die Reaktion störend beeinflußt. -
Die Reaktionspartner können durch übliche Methoden, die unter den angegebenen Bedingungen anwendbar sind, vermischt werden.
Die beste Methode besteht jedoch darin, die Disilane mit dem ausgewählten Katalysator zu vermischen und anschließend unter
Kontaktnahme mit Wasserstoffgas bei dem entsprechenden Druck umzusetzen. Die erhaltenen 0rgano-H-silane können dann durch
übliche Maßnahmen gewonnen werden.
Im Gegensatz zu den bisher üblichen Verfahren werden gemäß
der Erfindung wesentlich bessere Ausbeuten an Organo-H-silanen

erhalten. Außerdem war es bisher nicht möglich, die SiSi-Bindung
durch Hydrogenolyse unter so milden Bedingungen, wie bei Raumtemperatur von 25°C und darunter zu spalten.
Die mach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erhältlichen Organo
H-silane sind wertvolle Zwischenprodukte für die Herstellung anderer Organosilieiumverbindungen, wie Siloxanen mit Si-H
Bindungen, die ihrerseits als Vernetzungsmittel für Organopolysiloxanelastomere
brauchbar sind. Die Organo-H-silane können außerdem zur Herstellung von organofunktioneIlen
Derivaten durch Anlagerung an Olefinverbindungen eingesetzt
werden.

Das Disilan, der Katalysator und ein Lösungsmittel wurden
in eine geeignete Hydriervorrichtung gegeben und das Gemisch bei dem gewünschten Wasserstoffgasdruck erhitzt.
Nach beendeter Umsetzung wurde das Reaktionsprodukt durch Gaschromatographie analysiert und die Produkte unter Zugrundelegung
bekannter Standardsubstanzen identifiziert. Für Versuche bei niedrigem Druck (<7,0 kg/cm g) wurde
die Hydriervorrichtung nach Parr verwendet. Die Versuche
mit hohem Druck ( > J,0 kg/cm g) wurden in einem Druckautoklaven
durchgeführt, der mit einem Gasdruckregler und einem Magnetrührer ausgestattet war. Unter diesen Bedingungen
wurden die in der folgenden Tabelle I aufgeführten Ergebnisse unter Verwendung einer Vielzahl von
Disilanen und Katalysatoren erzielt.

Claims (6)
- Patentansprücheverfahren zur Herstellung von Organo-H-silanen der allgemeinen Formel R,SiH, dadur'eh gekennzeichnet , daß Disilane der allgemeinen FormelR5Si-SiR5,worin R Alkyl- oder Alkoxyreste mit jeweils 1 bis 6 C-Atomen, Phenyl-, 2,3,3-Trifluorpropyl-; Trimethylsiloxyreste, Halogen- oder Wasserstoffatome bedeutet,in Gegenwart von mindestens 1 %, bezogen auf das Gewicht der Disiloxane, eines Ubergangsmetallkatalysators, mit Wasserstoffgas unter Druck auf Temperaturen im Bereich von 250C bis 2500C erhitzt und anschließend die so erhaltenen Organo-Η-silane isoliert werden.
- 2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß als Katalysator Palladium auf Kohle verwendet wird.
- 3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß als Disilane solche der Formeln(CH3J6Si2, C6H5(CH3)2Si-Si(CHs)2C6H5', H(CH3)2Si~Si(CH3)2H oder (CH3O)0Si2 eingesetzt werden.-10-109842/ 1 990A4
- 4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn zeichnet , daß als Katalysator die Verbindung der Formel r/Q Hg)3P)2PdCl2 verwendet wird.
- 5· Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekenn zeichnet , daß als Disilane Gemische aus denVerbindungen der Formeln (CH3)2Si2Cl4 und (CHa)3Si2Cl eingesetzt werden.
- 6. Verfahren nach Anspruen <+, dadurch gekenn zeichnet , daß als Disilane solche der Formeln CieSi2 oder Cl(CH3)2Sl-Si(CH3)aCl' eingesetzt werden.1 09842/1890
