Die Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung eines Vliess-toffes aus
thermoplastischen, synthetischen Fasern, bei dem die elektrostatische SeIbstaufladung dieser Fasern verhindert wird. In den
letzten Jahren wurden immer häufiger Vliesstoffe hergestellt, die völlig aus thermoplastischen, synthetischen Fasern bestehen.
Als Beispiel sei nur auf die sogenannten Nadelvlies-Teppichböden verwiesen, die aus Polypropylen-, Polyesterfasern oder Nylonfasern
bestehen können. Bei derartigen Teppichmaterialien kann eine elektrostatische Aufladung durch Begehen hervorgerufen werden.
Man hat bereits versucht, die synthetischen Pasern mit antistatischen
Präparationen zu versehen. Dies ist bei Verwendung von
Fasern mit aktiver Oberfläche, z.B. von Polyamidfasern, auch möglich. Bei Polyolefinfasern und Polyesterfasern versagt diese
Methode jedoch, da die Präparationen nicht fest genug auf den
Fasern haften. Es wird daher diese Präparation nach mehrmaligem Begehen wieder verloren gehen und dadurch die störende elektrostatische
Aufladung wieder eintreten. Außerdem entstehen Nachteile durch die erhöhte Anschmutzung des Teppichbodens bei Verwendung
von Antistatikas.

Erfindungsgemäß wird nun die elektrostatische Aufladung dadurch verhindert, daß man zwei Vliesschichten der thermoplastiahen
Pasern bereitet und aufeinander legt. In der einen Schicht werden zusätzlich noch geringe Mengen von Kupferfasern
eingegeben. Die Kupferfasern lassen sich ohne weiteres auf der Krempel mit verarbeiten, so daß man nach der Krempel eine
Vliesschicht abnehmen kann, welche die Kupferfasern gleichmäßig verteilt enthält. Dieses Kupferfasern enthaltende Vlies legt man
nun auf die andere Schicht, die aus den gleichen thermoplastischen Fasern besteht, ohne Kupferfaserzusatz. Anschließend vernadelt
man die beiden Vliesschichten miteinander. Dabei werden in der ersten oberen Schicht vorhandene, zunächst parallel zur Tischebene liegende Kupferfasern von den Widerhaken der Nadeln erfaßt
und quer zu ihrer Ursprungsrichtung gedreht. Auf diese Weise wird dafür Sorge getragen, daß viele Kupferfasern von der oberen
zur unteren Fläche des genadelten Vlieses gerissen werden. In Figur I sind schematisch die Faservliese 1 und 2 dargestellt. Das
Vlies 1 enthält dabei die rot gekennzeichneten Kupferfasern. Beide Vliesschichten werden dann aufeinander gelegt, wie Figur II
zeigt. Nach dem Nadeln werden die Mehrzahl der zunächst flach liegenden Kupferfasern um 9o° gedreht und reichen von der Oberzur
Unterfläche des Vlieses (siehe Figur III).
Selbstverständlich werden bei diesem Nadeln auch viele der schwarz
eingezeichneten Thermoplastfasern mit quergestellt. Dies ist
keinesfalls störend, sondern eher erwünscht, um eben eine mechanische Stabilität des Faservliesstoffes zu erreichen.
Wenn ein Material gemäß Figur III als Teppich verwendet wird und mit einem geerdeten Boden in Berührung kommt, so wird die Ableitung
der Elektrizität weitgehendst gewährleistet. Da außerdem die

Kupferfasern auch eine leitende Verbindung zwischen der Sohle des Begehers eines solchen Teppichs und der geerdeten
Unterlage herstellen, wird vermieden, daß die Personen selber elektrisch aufgeladen werden und dann beim Berühren von Fensterrahmen,
Türklinken usw. einen elektrischen Schlag erhalten. Der Effekt wird durch die Verwendung leitfähiger Sohlen noch
verbessert. Die genadelten, Kupferfasern enthaltenden Faservliesgebilde gemäß Figur III können zur weiteren Erhöhung der
mechanischen- und Abriebfestigkeit mit Bindemitteln imprägniert werden. Kupferfasern haben ähnliche Zähigkeit und Elastizität
wie Synthesefasern, deshalb ist es möglich, diese zu krempeln und zu nadeln, ohne daß Faserbruch entsteht.
Man bereitet auf zwei Krempeln zwei Polypropylenfaserflore mit je einem Gewicht von 3oo m/qm ; die Faserlänge kann Mo bis
loo mm betragen, die Faserstärke 6 bis 7o den. In eine der beiden Schichten arbeitet man über der Krempel 12 g Kupferfasern einer
Länge von 6o mm und einer Stärke von 7o/* ein. Dann legt man die
Kupferfasern enthaltende Schicht auf die andere Schicht und nadelt. Das entsprechende Faserflächengebilde wird dann 612 g
wiegen. Man imprägniert anschließend mit einer Mojigen Acrylesterdispersion.
Nach dem Trocknen und Aushärten des Bindemittels wiegt das Faserflächengebilde 85o g/qm.
