Claims (9)
1. Dieselabgaspartikelfilter, enthaltend ein hoch temperaturfestes
Filterelement mit porösen Wänden, die dazu geeignet sind, in den Abgasen von Dieselmaschinen enthaltene
Partikel zu filtern und die Partikel aus den Gasen, die durch das Element geleitet werden, an den Oberflächen der
porösen Wände zu sammeln, wobei die Oberflächen der Wände zunächst mit einem Katalysator versehen worden sind, der
aus einer Mischung aus einem Metall der Platingruppe und einem Erdalkalimetalloxyd besteht, welche Katalysatormischung
die Temperatur herabsetzt, bei der die gesammelten Partikel gezündet und deren Verbrennung eingeleitet wird,
wodurch die Partikel kontinuierlich durch Verbrennung mit relativ hohem Wirkungsgrad und niedrigem Druckabfall beseitigt
werden.
2. Filter nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das Filter aus einem keramischen Material besteht.
3. Filter nach Anspruch 2, bei dem das Filter aus einem geschäumten keramischen Material besteht.
4. Filter nach Anspruch 2, bei dem das Filter aus einem
keramischen monolithischen Material besteht.
5. Filter nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei dem das Metall der Platingruppe Platin ist.
6. Filter nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei dem das Erdalkalimetalloxyd Magnesiumoxyd ist.
7. Filter nach Anspruch 5, bei dem das Platinmetall an der Oberfläche des Filters mit einer Konzentration von etwa
5 bis 150 g pro Kubikfuß der Filteroberfläche vorhanden
ist.
8. Filter nach Anspruch 6 oder Anspruch 7, bei dem das Erdalkalimetalloxyd an der Oberfläche des Filters mit einer
Konzentration von etwa 30 bis 1500 g pro Kubikfuß der FiI-teroberflache
vorhanden ist.
9. Filter nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei dem das Atomverhältnis zwischen dem Metall der Platingruppe und
dem Erdalkalimetall in der Katalysatormischung zwischen etwa 1:60 und etwa 1:6 liegt.
