Description
Electrically Illuminated Sight Glass The invention relates to a device for observing processes in enclosed spaces, such as B. containers, drying cabinets, Pipelines, mixing and stirring vessels, the sight glass and the light source and reflector existing sight glass lamp are combined so that the lighting of the Processes and glare-free observation with both eyes from one place are possible at the same time.
Electrically illuminated observation devices, also in the following Electric sight glasses called, have long been known in various designs.
In these known electric sight glasses, the actual sight glass lamp is ring-shaped, so that a circular, concentric view is created. The light rays and the direction of view are parallel to one another. The light bulbs stand free in the lamp compartment.
Instead of incandescent lamps as a light source, there are also ring-shaped fluorescent tubes has been proposed. In another known device is the Light source on the side, on the edge of the sight glass socket. The light rays are doing this deflected in the direction of view by a special lens system.
The disadvantage of the known electric sight glasses lies in the annular type in which these devices occupy a large diameter. A reduction in the size of the device is always associated with the reduction in the perspective tied together. In practice, however, primarily electric sight glasses with a A perspective that allows observation with both eyes is required. Very disadvantageous The ring-shaped light beam often affects the observation of chemical processes the end. Because the viewer's gaze and the rays of light are practically from one point going out, the viewer is presented with a flat, low-contrast and thus blurred Image.
Another disadvantage is a fluorescent tube as a light source, the diffuse luminous flux with a reflector can hardly be directed, so that only Spaces with shallow depths can be illuminated. The temperature control of the sight glass plate by this so-called cold light is insufficient, so that in the presence of damp Damping occurs and observation is very difficult or impossible will.
The arrangement of the light source on the side, on the edge, is also disadvantageous the sight glass socket. Here, too, the sight glass plate is insufficiently tempered, so that it steams up. The free-standing arrangement of the Incandescent lamps in the lamp room. The air surrounding the light bulbs allows good heat dissipation not to the housing, so that a strong heating of the light bulbs occurs, which in turn results in a strong reduction in the service life of the same.
Due to the above defects, the well-known electric sight glasses not generally applicable, so that one is still out of date devices operate or had to do without an observation device entirely, because in most cases the mounting areas are too small. Besides that these known devices are relatively expensive to purchase their technical execution is sometimes quite imperfect.
The invention aims to remedy the above deficiencies. It will be there based on a sight glass with a light source and reflector electric lighting for observing work processes in containers, drying cabinets, Pipelines, mixing and stirring vessels and the like, in which sight glass and sight glass lamp are so united that the lighting and observation of the work processes from one Body are possible, and the invention consists in that the sight glass lamp, their light source (s) serving as a light source with part of their circumference on the Reflector wall rests, a segment of a circle or segment of a circle from the originally a circular sight glass. The main advantage the invention can be seen in the fact that the sight glass lamp has the shape of only a segment of a circle or circle segment and no longer reduces the diameter of the view or the outer diameter of the device increased, and on the other hand in that the rays of light and the viewer's line of sight are parallel to each other and the incandescent lamps designed as festoons here with part of their circumference rest against the reflector wall.
Die Fig. 1 und 2 zeigen eine mögliche Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes im Schnitt und in Draufsicht.FIGS. 1 and 2 show a possible embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in section and in plan view.
On the sight glass 1 known per se, the housing 2 of the sight glass lamp is here put on. The festoon incandescent lamp 3 is elastically connected by the contact spring 5 pressed the reflector wall, which serves her as a bed. The connection room the cover 4 can be closed in a watertight manner for the supply line. The sight glass light is formed here crescent-shaped, so that one also has a crescent-shaped one lying next to it Insight 6 receives.
It is also advantageous to have the light source with reflector in two of each other to accommodate opposite circular sections, so that a slot-shaped Perspective arises.
For even better heat dissipation and distribution, it is also provided the lamp compartment of the sight glass light completely or partially with a translucent, electrically non-conductive liquid, such as. B. glycerine to fill in.
The advantages of the object according to the invention are above all that that in spite of the attached sight glass the original diameter of the view the device is fully preserved and now also much smaller electrical inspection glasses can be built, which can still be observed with both eyes is. The outside diameter of the device is also beyond the usual size not enlarged. The storage of the incandescent lamps in accordance with the innovation is also advantageous in the reflector, which ensures good heat dissipation to the housing, see above that the incandescent lamps now achieve normal heating and service life.
