Abstract

Vorgeschlagen ist ein Ventiltrieb einer Brennkraftmaschine, mit einem Gaswechselventil (11) und einem Ventilbetätigungselement (4), das eine Kontaktfläche (8) für eine Stirnfläche (9) an einem Ventilschaft (10) des von dem Ventilbetätigungselement (4) in Öffnungs- und Schließrichtung betätigten Gaswechselventils (11) aufweist. Dabei soll die Kontaktfläche (8) und/oder die Stirnfläche (9) mit einer Verschleißschutzschicht (12) versehen sein, die aus mindestens einer metallfreien amorphen Kohlenwasserstoffschicht mit sp·2·- und sp·3·-hybridisiertem Kohlenstoff besteht.
