Beschichteter Vorhangairbag, der einen Packvolumen-Faktor von höchstens ungefähr 0,05 aufweist; wobei zumindest ein Abschnitt des beschichteten Vorhangairbags mit einer Elastomerschicht beschichtet ist; und wobei der beschichtete Vorhangairbag eine charakteristische Entweichungszeit nach dem Aufblasen von zumindest fünf Sekunden aufweist.

Claims (40)

  1. Beschichteter Vorhangairbag, der einen Packvolumen-Faktor von höchstens ungefähr 0,05 aufweist; wobei zumindest ein Abschnitt des beschichteten Vorhangairbags mit einer Elastomerschicht beschichtet ist; und wobei der beschichtete Vorhangairbag eine charakteristische Entweichungszeit nach dem Aufblasen von zumindest fünf Sekunden aufweist.
  2. Airbag nach Anspruch 1, wobei der Airbag Fasern aufweist, die ein durchschnittliches Tex von höchstens 58,33 (Denier von höchstens 525) besitzen.
  3. Airbag nach Anspruch 2, bei dem die Fasern ein durchschnittliches Tex von höchstens 46,67 (Denier von höchstens 420) besitzen.
  4. Airbag nach Anspruch 3, bei dem die Fasern ein durchschnittliches Tex von höchstens 35 (Denier von höchstens 315) besitzen.
  5. Beschichteter Vorhangairbag, der einen Packvolumen-Faktor von höchstens ungefähr 0,05 aufweist; wobei zumindest ein Abschnitt des beschichteten Vorhangairbags mit einer Elastomerschicht beschichtet ist; wobei der beschichtete Vorhangairbag eine charakteristische Entweichungszeit nach dem Aufblasen von zumindest fünf Sekunden aufweist; und wobei das aufblasbare Tuch zumindest zwei Tuch-Lagen in bestimmten diskreten Bereichen des Tuches, und zumindest eine einzelne Tuch-Lage an einem diskreten Bereich innerhalb des Tuches aufweist, wobei das Bindungsschema für ein derartiges aufblasbares Tuch nicht mehr als drei aufeinanderfolgende, ungefüllte Blöcke in irgendeiner Reihe oder Spalte aufweist.
  6. Airbag nach Anspruch 5, bei dem die Elastomerzusammensetzung Polyurethan aufweist.
  7. Airbag nach Anspruch 5, bei dem das beschichtete Tuch gewebt ist, und Polyamid-Garne aufweist.
  8. Airbag nach Anspruch 7, bei dem die Polyamid-Garne aus Nylon 6,6 Faser gebildet sind.
  9. Airbag nach Anspruch 8, bei dem die Polyamid-Garne Multifilgarne sind, die durch eine durchschnittliche Feinheit zwischen ungefähr 23,33 und 70 Tex (210 und 630 Denier) gekennzeichnet sind.
  10. Airbag nach Anspruch 9, bei dem die Multifilgarne durch eine durchschnittliche Feinheit des Filaments von ungefähr 0,44 Tex (4 Denier) pro Filament oder weniger gekennzeichnet sind.
  11. Airbag nach Anspruch 6, bei dem die Elastomer-Polyurethan-Zusammensetzung Polycarbonat-Polyurethan ist.
  12. Airbag nach Anspruch 5, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,048 beträgt.
  13. Airbag nach Anspruch 12, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,046 beträgt.
  14. Airbag nach Anspruch 13, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,044 beträgt.
  15. Airbag nach Anspruch 14, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,041 beträgt.
  16. Airbag nach Anspruch 15, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,0393 beträgt.
  17. Beschichteter Vorhangairbag, der einen Packvolumen-Faktor von höchstens ungefähr 0,05 aufweist; wobei zumindest ein Abschnitt des beschichteten Vorhangairbags mit einer Elastomerschicht beschichtet ist; wobei der beschichtete Vorhangairbag eine Entweichungszeit nach dem Aufblasen von zumindest fünf Sekunden aufweist; und wobei das aufblasbare Tuch zumindest zwei Tuch-Lagen in bestimmten diskreten Bereichen des Tuches, und zumindest eine einzelne Tuch-Lage an einem diskreten Bereich innerhalb des Tuches aufweist, wobei nur zwei sich unterscheidende Webdichten in dem Bereich vorhanden sind, der direkt an die einzelne Tuch-Lage angrenzt.
  18. Airbag nach Anspruch 17, bei dem die Elastomerzusammensetzung Polyurethan aufweist.
  19. Airbag nach Anspruch 17, bei dem das beschichtete Tuch gewebt ist, und Polyamid-Garne aufweist.
  20. Airbag nach Anspruch 19, bei dem die Polyamid-Garne aus Nylon 6,6 Faser gebildet sind.
  21. Airbag nach Anspruch 20, bei dem die Polyamid-Garne Multifilgarne sind, die durch eine durchschnittliche Feinheit zwischen ungefähr 23,33 und 70 Tex (210 und 630 Denier) gekennzeichnet sind.
  22. Airbag nach Anspruch 21, bei dem die Multifilgarne durch eine durchschnittliche Feinheit des Filaments von ungefähr 0,44 Tex (4 Denier) pro Filament oder weniger gekennzeichnet sind.
  23. Airbag nach Anspruch 18, bei dem die Elastomer-Polyurethan-Zusammensetzung Polycarbonat-Polyurethan ist.
  24. Airbag nach Anspruch 17, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,048 beträgt.
  25. Airbag nach Anspruch 24, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,046 beträgt.
  26. Airbag nach Anspruch 25, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,044 beträgt.
  27. Airbag nach Anspruch 26, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,041 beträgt.
  28. Airbag nach Anspruch 27, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,0393 beträgt.
  29. Beschichteter Vorhangairbag, der einen Packvolumen-Faktor von höchstens ungefähr 0,05 aufweist; wobei zumindest ein Abschnitt des beschichteten Vorhangairbags mit einer Elastomerschicht beschichtet ist; wobei der beschichtete Vorhangairbag eine Entweichungszeit nach dem Aufblasen von zumindest fünf Sekunden aufweist; und wobei das aufblasbare Tuch zumindest zwei Tuch-Lagen in bestimmten diskreten Bereichen des Tuches, und zumindest eine schmale einzelne Tuch-Lage an zumindest zwei diskreten Bereichen innerhalb des Tuches aufweist, wobei die zumindest eine schmale Tuch-Lage lediglich aus einem Würfelbindungsmuster mit einer geraden Anzahl von Garnen gebildet ist, höchstens zwölf Garne in der Breite, wobei zumindest zwei diskrete schmale Bereiche einzelner Tuch-Lagen innerhalb des aufblasbaren Tuches vorhanden sind, wobei die zumindest zwei Bereiche einzelner Tuch-Lagen durch einen Bereich von zumindest zwei Tuch-Lagen getrennt sind, und wobei die Breite jeder einzelnen Lage von vier bis acht Garne in der Länge beträgt.
  30. Airbag nach Anspruch 29, bei dem die Elastomerzusammensetzung Polyurethan aufweist.
  31. Airbag nach Anspruch 29, bei dem das beschichtete Tuch gewebt ist, und Polyamid-Garne aufweist.
  32. Airbag nach Anspruch 31, bei dem die Polyamid-Garne aus Nylon 6,6 Faser gebildet sind.
  33. Airbag nach Anspruch 32, bei dem die Polyamid-Garne Multifilgarne sind, die durch eine durchschnittliche Feinheit zwischen ungefähr 23,33 und 70 Tex (210 und 630 Denier) gekennzeichnet sind.
  34. Airbag nach Anspruch 33, bei dem die Multifilgarne durch eine durchschnittliche Feinheit des Filaments von ungefähr 0,44 Tex (4 Denier) pro Filament oder weniger gekennzeichnet sind.
  35. Airbag nach Anspruch 30, bei dem die Elastomer-Polyurethan-Zusammensetzung Polycarbonat-Polyurethan ist.
  36. Airbag nach Anspruch 29, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,048 beträgt.
  37. Airbag nach Anspruch 36, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,046 beträgt.
  38. Airbag nach Anspruch 37, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,044 beträgt.
  39. Airbag nach Anspruch 38, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,041 beträgt.
  40. Airbag nach Anspruch 39, bei dem der Packvolumen-Faktor höchstens ungefähr 0,0393 beträgt.
