SE RELACIONA CON LA RAMA DE LA BIOTECNOLOGIA Y LA INGENIERIA GENETICA Y EN OBTENIDA POR ESTA VIA PUEDE SER EMPLEADA EN MEDICINA CLINICA COMO AGENTE TERAPEUTICO, EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE ENFERMEDADES COMO BLOQUEOS TROMBOEMBOLICOS, INCLUYENDO TROMBOSIS CORONARIA. PARTICULAR CON UNA NUEVA SECUENCIA NUCLEOTIDICA QUE CODIFICA PARA UNA ESTREPTOQUINASA, ASI COMO LOS ADN RECOMBINANTES OBTENIDOS A PARTIR DE ELLA QUE SON EMPLEADOS PARA LA TRANSFORMACION DE DIFERENTES ORGANISMOS HOSPEDEROS. EL OBJETIVO TECNICO QUE SE PERSIGUE CON LA SOLUCION PROPUESTA, ES PRODUCIR LA PROTEINA EN CANTIDADES COMERCIALMENTE UTILES, POR VIA RECOMBINANTE, CON LA POSIBILIDAD DE EMPLEAR DE FORMA ALTERNATIVA HOSPEDEROS DIFERENTES PARA OBTENER UNA ESTREPTOQUINASA DE GRAN CALIDAD CAPAZ DE SER EMPLEADA COMO AGENTE TROMBOLITICO EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE DIFERENTES ENFERMEDADES.
