Polyolefinová spojka anových trub její použití pro spojování polyolefi-
Oblast techniky
Vynález se týká polyolefinových spojek pro spojovánípolyolefinových trub a spojování polyolefinových trub těmitospojkami.
Dosavadní stav techniky
Známých spojek se v široké míre používá pro spojovánítrub až do průměru 355 mm. Takové spojky jsou hrdlového typua mají vnitřní topné články. Topný článek natavuje vnitřnípovrch spojky a protilehlé povrchy trub. Protilehlé povrchyjsou od sebe vzdáleny maximálně 1 až 2 mm v případě menšíchspojek, avšak rozměr 355 mm vyžaduje hydrulický přípravek nasestavení spojky a trub. V takovém případě je mezera praktickynulová. Zatavené povrchy spolu splynou a vytvoří se svarovýspoj mezi každou troubou a spojkou. Účelem vynálezu je poskytnout spojku, které lze použítspeciálně i když nikoliv výlučně, ke spojování trub velkéhoprůměru, například trub o průměru 500 mm nebo větším. V americkém patentovém spise číslo 4 775501 /RaychemCorporation/ a v evropském patentovém spise číslo O 19759/Raychem Corporation/ se popisuje způsob spojování polyethy-lenových trub spojkou, tvořenou zesilovaným polymerem, obsa-hujícím částicové vodivé plnidlo. Spojka je roztažena pod je-jí teplotou tavení /120 °C/. K regeneraci pro spojení s trou-bami se spojka zahřívá vedením elektrického proudu spojkouaž dojde k jejímu smrštění na spojované trouby. Spojka a trou-by se spojují tavným spojem. Ve dvou příkladech se uvádějípolyethylenové trouby o vnějším průměru 21 mm. Spojka dosa-huje své smršťovací teploty ve 30 až 45 sekundách a proud senechával procházet spojkou ještě po dobu další jedné minuty.
Konce trubek vykázaly smrštění a jejich povrchy byly na-taveny. Výslechem je podstatné snížení světlosti trub a trubek V jediném příkladu v evropském patentovém spise číslo0 197759 mají trouby vnější průměr 21,3 mm a tloušťku stěny 2,8 mm. Podmínky ohřevu jsou stejné jako podle amerického pa-tentového spisu číslo 4 775501» V uvedeném evropském patentovémspise nejsou žádné výkresy.
Spojky, uváděné v patentových spisech shora uvedených /Raychem Corporation/ musí být elektricky vodivé a aby se toho do-sáhlo, obsahuje materiál uhlíkaté částice v koncentraci, zaru-čující elektrickou vodivost. Je známo, že tak vysoký obsah uh-líkatých částic může způsobit narušení žádoucích mechanickýchvlastností základního polymeru.
Podstata vynálezu
Podstatou vynálezu jsou spojky z polymerního materiálu,které nejsou elektricky vodivé. Schopnost smršťovací paměti jeaktivována odděleně identifikovatelným zdrojem tepla, napřík-lad vedením z topného článku, vytvořeného odporovým drátem,nebo radiací optického nebo infračerveného zdroje.
Podle vynálezu sestává spojka ke spojování trub z dutéhotělesa s otevřeným koncem z nevodivého zesilovaného polyolefinukteré byle radiálně rozšířeno čili expandováno tak, že předzahříváním má spojka první nejmenší vnitřní průměr a po zahří-vání má spojka druhý nejmenší vnitřní průměr, který je menšínež první nejmenší vnitřní průměr.
Podle vynálezu je způsob spojování trub z polyolefinovéhomateriálu navzájem založen na tom, že se uspořádají k sobě svý-mi konci a spojka se smrští a protilehlý vnitřní povrch spojkya vnější koncové- povrchy trub se zahřejí na teplotu svařování,přičemž spojka se zahřeje světelnou nebo infračervenou radiacíz prostředků uspořádaných po obvodě kolem spojky.
Spojka může mít topný článek nebo topné články, jimiž mů-že procházet elektrický proud. vestliže se použije spojky tohoto typu, je způsob stejný - 3 - jako sbore uvedeno, spojka je však zahřívána topnými články.
Provedení podle vynálezu je podrobně objasněno na praktic-kých příkladech provedení a pomocí připojených obrázků, ba obr.1 je svislý řez horní polovinou spojky podle prvního provedení,jež obklopuje konce dvou spojovaných trub. Na obr. 2 je zvět-šený řez z obr. 1 . Ks obr. 3 je svislý řez horní polovinouprovedeného spoje s použitím spojky podle obr. 1 . Ká obr, 4je svislý řez horní polovinou modifikované spojky. Na obr. 5 a6 je příčný a podélný řez druhého provedení spojky, uspořáda-né kolem dvou trub v poloze jejich spojování. Na obr, 7 je řez,odpovídající obr. 2, znázorňující provedený spoj za použitíspojky, znázorněné na obr. 5 e 6. Následující příklady objasňují vynález na případu spojekz polyethylenu, vynález je však použitelný i pro jiné polyole-finy, například pro polypropylen a pro polybutylen. Příklady provedení vynálezu
Spojka podle prvního provedení podle vynálezu je zhotovenaze 100 mm dlouhé trouby ze zesilovaného polyethylenu společnos-ti Wirsbo Bruks AB, Virsbo, Švédsklo, s vnitřním průměrem jeno málo menším než vnější průměr 90 mm trouby z nezesilovanéhopolyethylenu, určené ke spojování. Vnější průměr spojky je 110mm a tloušlka štěny 10 mm. Do vnějšího i vnitřního povrchu jevyříznut šroubovicový závit, aby byly povrchy vroubkované.Stoupání závitu je 2 mm a hloubka vroubku je rovněž 2 mm.
Na vnější povrch je navinut pocínovaný měděný drát s cel-kovým odporem 2,25 ohm. Ten tvoří topný článek. Článek možnoprovést různými /neznázorněnými/ způsoby. Například drát můžebýt navinut ve šroubové drážce na vnější straně velmi tenkéhoválcového dutého člene z polyethylenu, takže závity vinutí jsouvelmi těsně uspořádány u vnitřního povrchu člene. Po navinutičlánku může být kolem vnějšího povrchu člene vytvořen vstřiko-váním vnější plášl. Tento způsob zhotovování spojek je popsánav britském patentovém spise číslo 2 09055S B. řodle jiného provedení je topnv článek ve šroubové drážce, vyříznuté do vnitřního povrchu úseku trouby. Vnější povrch ne-ní závitem opstřen. Při dalším způsobu provedení, který jezvlášt vhodný, pokud jde o tlustší spojky, je použito ovoutopných článků, navinutých jak na vnějším, tak ne. vnitřním povr-chu spojky. Úsek trouby se dále roztáhne /expanduje/ k vytvoření spoj-ky. X tomu se používá například hydraulicky ovládaného expan-deru, typu dodávaného společností Pipe Lquipment Limited tak,aby vůle mezi vnitřním nejmenším průměrem trouby a vnějším po-vrchem polyethylenových trub, určených ke spojování, byla 2 až3 mm. Rozšíření čili expanze se může provádět za teploty okolínebo za zvýšené teploty přibližně až do 120 °C. Po rozšíření zazvýšené teploty se spojka rychle ochladí například ve vodě. Al-ternativně může být spojka rozšířena například použitím expan-deru typu dodávaného společnosti Jointkit Limited.
Na obr. 1 a 2 je spojka 10, sestavená se dvěma polyethyle-novými troubami 1 2, 14, uspořádanými konci k sobě k jejich vzá-jemnému spojení. Šroubový vnější závit 16 nese topný článek 18,navinutý na vroubkovaném vnějším povrchu. Vnitřní závit 20 jetaké znázorněn s mezerou 22 mezi vnitřním nejmenším průměremspojky a vnějším povrchem trouby 1 4. K aktivaci topného článku18 se používá elektrického proudu ze droje o napětí 40 V. Pou-žívá se časovaných pulzů a teplota vnějšího povrchu jednéz trub 12, 14 je sledována termočlánky. Pulzování brání překro-čení vnější teploty spojky 260 °C. Vnější povrch trouby trvalevzrůstá a když se dosáhne 140 °C, proud se vypne. Po vychladnu-tí se spojka a trouby rozřežou za účelem vyzkoušení stavu sva-rového spoje.
Trouby 12, 14, spojené spojkou 10 se podrobují zkoušce zapodmínek " zkoušky při 80 °C". To znamená, že vnitřně působíhydrostatický tlak k vyvození napětí ve stěně trouby 4 Lípa,přičemž sestava je ponořena ve .vodě, udržované na teolotě 80°C. Pro troubu SDR11 je tento hydrostatický tlak 0,8 ftiPa. V sou-časné době prodělává sestava 650 hodin zkušebních podmínek bez úniku. Celá zkouška byla úspěšně ukončena po 1000 hodinách bezúniku.
Jsk patrno z obr. 3, smrští se spojka 10 na troubě 12, 14 úplně, takže se vymezí původní vůle 22 a vroubkovaný vnitř-ní povrch spojky 1Q vnikne do původních vnějších povrchů trub1 2, 14, čímž mechanicky utěsní spojované povrchy. V místech 24, 26, 28 a 30 je patrno určité napěchování stěn trub 1 2, 1 4. Před svařením se povrchy trub neupravují, takže původnívnější povrchy nesou původní oxidovanou vrstvu. Spojka 10 ús-pěšně touto oxidovanou vrstvou proniká v průběhu vytváření tav-ného svarového spoje. Při modifikaci mohou být vroubky na vnitřním povrchu vy-puštěny a konce trubek musí být potom obvyklým způsobem očiš-těny dříve než jsou vytvářeny svarové spoje mezi protilehlýmiválcovými povrchy trub a spojky. ha obr. 4 je modifikovaný tvar spojky 10. Podle tohoto pro-vedení je kromě topného článku 18, navinutého na vnějším povr-chu, druhý topný článek, navinutý na vnitřním povrchu a drženýv poloze vnitřními zoubky 20 vnitřního závitu. Tohoto druhéhotopného článku 32 se používá tehdy, když tlouštka spojky by ji- ; nak vyžadovala nadměrné teplotní 'gradienty ve stěně spojky adlouhodobý ohřev, než by došlo k prohřátí vnitřního povrchu nateplotu svařování. í
Ohřevem stěny z obou stran je spojka vystavena rychlejšímu í ohřevu a rychleji získá svařovací teplotu na vnitřním povrchu. í U spojky o průměru 500 mm, kde je například standardní rozměro- | vý poměr 17, je tloušťka stěny přibližně 30 mm a u SDR11 je £ tloušťka stěny přibližně 46 mm. U spojek jakéhokoliv rozměru £ o tloušťce řekněme 30 mm a větší je výhodné použití dyou top- * i ných článků. |
Podle další neznázorněné modifikace může mít spojka pouze § jeden topný článek, uspořádaný podobně jako právě popsaný top- | ný článek 32. · i
Provedení spojky 40., znázorněné na obr. 5 až 7, je podobné ž jako v případě spojky 10 s tou. výjimkou, že šroubová drážka jevyříznuta do vnějšího povrchu bez aplikace topného článku napovrchu. - 6 - U trub 1 2, 1 4, sestavených se spojkou 40 podle obr. 5 3 6,je spojka 40 zahřívána radiací osmi 150 W lamp 42, zabudovanýchv reflektorech.
Teplota spojky a teplota vnějšího povrchu trouby se sledu-jí podobně, jako shora uvedeno. Fři vypnutí lamp teplota vnějšího povrchu trouby je trvale 140 °C. Spojka 40 se stane optickyčirou, jakmile dosáhne své vlastní teploty tavení, což umožnílepší pronikáni světla k povrchům trub a přestup tepla zářením účinnější. Na obr. 7 je dokončený spoj mezi dvěma troubami1 2 a 1 4. Popsané obr. nejsou v měřítku. Zesítovaný polyethylenmá vlastnost dosahování rozmezí tavení krystalů polyethylenu beztečení. Jeho molekulární struktura je trojrozměrnou sítí,která určuje chování kaučukovité pevné látky nad teplotou její-ho tavení. V této fázi se vytvářejí svarové spoje s nezesilova-ným povrchem polyethylenu.
Sxpanze zesítované spojky propůjčuje spojce charakteristi-ku smršťování teplem, která může zlepšovat kvalitu svarovýchsoojů tím, že je vynechána nutnost oškrabání povrchu trub předtavením. Taková úprava povrchu je důležitou avšak časově nároč-nou operací při běžném elektrickém tavení. Tepelně smrštěná spojka ze zesilovaného polyolefinu má vroubkovaný vnitřní povrch,který netaví povrch trouby a pronikne oxidovanou vnější slupkoutrouby a vytvoří svarový spoj s materiálem ležícím pod toutoslupkou.
Vynález je použitelný pro spojky větších rozměrů, napříkladpro spojky o průměru 500 mm a pro větší spojky. Takové spojkyby mohly být z běžné polyethylenové trouby, která se ozáří papr-ky gama k dosažení vhodné míry zesíťování. Alternativně se mohouspojky speciálně lisovat použitím polyethylenu, vhodného k liso-vání a zesilovány chemicky /například ve formě/ k získání koneč-né zesítěné spojky.
Ohřevu se dosahuje pomocí elektrických topných článků nebopomocí lamp nebo infračervených ohřívačů. Zkrácení doby ohřevuse dá dosáhnout předehřátím spojky /například na 100 °C/ zapnu-tím topného článku nebo topných článků nebo zahřátím spojkv v pe

1 . Polyolefinová spojka pro spojování trub, vyzna- čující se tím, že sestává z dutého tělesa s o-tevřeným koncem z nevodivého zesilovaného polyolefinovéhomateriálu, který je radiálně roztažen - expandován - při-čemž před obrátím má spojka první nejmenší vnitřní průměra po ohřátí má druhý nejmenší vnitřní průměr menší nežprvní nejmenší vnitřní průměr.
2. Polyolefinová spojka podle nároku 1,vyznaču- jící se tím, že vnitřní povrch tělesa je vroubekovaný.
3. Polyolefinová spojka podle nároku 1 nebo 2, vy z n a čující se tím, že májtopný článek nebo topnéčlánky k elektrickému ohřevu.
4. Polyolefinová spojka podle nároku 3> vyzna-čující se tím, že topný článek je ve šroubovédrážce ve vnitřním povrchu spojky.
5. Polyolefinová s-ojka podle nároku 3, v y z n a -čující se tím, že má dva topné články, jedenve šroubové drážce na vnějším povrchu a druhý ve šroubovédrážce na vnitřním povrchu.

Způsobnavzájem, v yby uspořádajíoodle nároku 1 spojování trub z polyolefinového materiáluznačující se tím, že se trou-svými konci k sobě a polyolefinová spojkanebo 2, která přivrácené konce trub na vněj- ší straně přemostuje, se zahřeje až do svého smrštění avnější povrchy trub se zahřejí na teplotu svařování, přičemžse spojka zahřívá světelným nebo infračerveným zářením zezdroje, umístěného kolem obvodu spojky.
