Abstract
La invencion se refiere a sistemas y metodos para producir proteinas de interes. La invencion emplea celulas animales o vegetales geneticamente manipuladas que tienen capacidades modificadas de doblamiento o procesamiento de proteinas. En un aspecto, la invencion incorpora celulas geneticamente modificadas que comprenden uno o mas casetes de expresion recombinantes los cuales codifican para una proteina de interes y un polipeptido que es funcional en la via de respuesta de proteinas no dobladas (UPR) de las celulas. La co-expresion del polipeptido incrementa significativamente el rendimiento de la proteina de interes en las celulas geneticamente manipuladas. En un ejemplo, las celulas geneticamente manipuladas son celulas animales, y el polipeptido co-expresado es un componente o modulador de una via de UPR mediada por XBP1 o ATF6.
